“I love this place. The food is always delicious and hot even when delivered. Never had any complaints, definitely my favorite Chinese takeout go to :) Plus the staff is always super kind <3Vegetarian options: I consume meat, but I don’t want to eat it every day. Whenever I order from here, there are many vegetarian options on this menu for me to choose from in order to enjoy a balanced meal :)“

“Chengs is my go-to Chinese food place, I've been going here for about 5 years now and they're always super nice, they have fair prices and they are quick, some of my favorites are the chicken and broccoli, the wings, sesame chicken, don't forget the homemade ice tea or lemonade, it's a pretty big portion and is perfect when it's warm out and ur really thirsty“

China Garden Restaurant Chinese • $

“This is my chinese food spot. The only one I know that has half fried chicken on the menu. They will cook the food how you want it ! Fried hard , sauce on the side so the G. Tso's stays crispy, extra spicy and everything else. I've been to both their restaurants (Tao Yuen Chen and this one). Just remember... this is an American Chinese restaurant. They serve American Chinese food . If you want authentic Chinese food then go elsewhere. They are very nice and will prepare your food the way you want it .“

“It is one of the better Chinese restaurants to visit. The lunch special is perfect and comes with soda. It can't be beaten. The lady at the front desk is courteous and friendly .... I recommendParking: They have parking in the back to pick up order. It is limited, though, and it's for the entire complex.“

“New favorite spot since my old one closed. I usually get same thing. Chicken wings and pork fried rice with plain lo mein and wonton soup. They don't over due it with the soy sauce like other places. They chicken wings are big. Hopefully they keep the same food supplier because that's what changes a resturant when they change food suppliers“

“This is the best Chinese food in the area hands down. I eat here once a week and the food is always out of this world. The family that runs the place are awesome and it doesn’t seem like they ever take any time off. They are always super friendly and upbeat which makes this an enjoyable place to always come to.“

“So I read all the previous reviews before ordered and wanted to have my own review. We have had original number one for years. Never and issue but it looks like recently something changed. However, that was not the case for us. We ordered general Tso’s chicken, and did not have any issues with undercooked meat like other people had stated. We had eggrolls, shrimp fried rice, chicken wings, and crab rangoons. No issues with any food at all. They even gave us a free 2 L soda. Seems as if ownership changed but food quality was still good based off our recent order.“

“Swadist is hands down one of the finest Indian dining experiences we have had in NewJersey City I say that having eaten at plenty of Indian restaurants in NY and NJ. We were a large group that tried many appetizers and entrees and not a single dish disappointed - every bite was amazing. The owners have not overlooked a single detail in not only the menu, but also the elegant decor. If you are looking for authentic Indian food with a modern feel, you will not be disappointed!“

“This is one of my favorite no frills hole in the wall spots! It's a mom and pop shop run by a mother and her son. They make Chinese food that is more Southern style (I believe they're from Yunnan) and are consistent with their quality of food. They're cash only, super old school since they don't do delivery or have a phone number and are only open on certain days of the week (at the time of writing, 4 days a week). So be sure to check the posted store hours before you go! If you get any of their noodles it always comes with a side of their homemade chili oil and it's so fragrant and flavorful! It has a little hit but isn't too spicy. It's one of my favorite parts of their noodle dishes and honestly they should probably bottle and sell it. They have a few types of noodles: regular noodles (wheat), knife cut noodles (much thicker and they have an irregular texture) and mixian (rice noodles). Their mixian is very smooth and a good option if you want a slightly lighter noodle. I opt for the knife cut noodles when I want some texture and something heavier. They also have a few vegetable dishes that are simple but give you some balance if you like veggies with your meal. My go tos are the spicy noodle of my choice with the meat sauce or the non spicy version with meat sauce. In our most recent visit I got the spicy mixian with meat sauce and my partner got the mixian with meat sauce with an added egg. You'll see the chili oil pictured as well. I also included a picture of the stir fried cabbage from another visit! Though a bit out of the way if you're not in NJ, I've now managed to introduce the spot to two of my friends and they liked it as well! I'm always happy when I come here and we'll continue to frequent Lucky Foo. I'm so glad they survived Covid and still seem to be doing well. We'll keep coming back as long as they're open!“
