“I was looking for a good spot to get Chinese food, after a not so great experience elsewhere in the area. Stuck to the basics and ordered Sesame chicken, egg roll, and egg drop soup and was pleasantly suprised. From other places I'd order sesame chicken and it felt heavy with so much sauce. The chicken here was great quality wise, and everything I ordered was spot on. I want to add that the staff was very friendly. I'll definitely be coming back soon.“

“Little disappointed at this place. Saw they had Crispy Beef with Fresh Honey Walnuts Beef with a bed of steamed broccoli in a sweet brown sauce topped with sugared walnuts. Not crispy as from can see in pic. Was this really beef also? Walnuts were plain as well.Steamed Spinach Dumplings were a bit dry . Hunan Dumplings Spinach and beef dumplings topped with spicy peanut sauce. Spicy. I got not spicy but were very good. Would I try again. Yes think I would.“

The menu system is online and looks really clunky, but with the help of Google review photos I settled on the pan fried noodles and braised pork hock (which is highly recommended). The pork comes in a dark, rich savory sauce (they mentioned after it can also come in a garlic Sichuan that is sweeter). The noodles were fresh, with soft scramble eggs and a tang I couldn’t identify. Very good. And the pork literally fell off the bone and the skin was unctuous and filled with collagen and flavor. Would’ve loved some soy sauce at the table, but all in all staff is friendly, the space is airy, and the food is insanely good.“

“Second time to get take out from this place. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and they are fast! Food is usually ready for pickup in 20 minutes. It’s always hot and they give you plenty of sauces. Today they also gave us a free spicy kimchi, which was a nice surprise. We got the appetizer short ribs, crab soup dumplings, pork soup dumplings, shrimp dumplings, shrimp shui mai, large mixed shui mai, wonton soup, and scallion pancakes. It was more than enough food for two of us and we will have the leftover for dinner. I hope they have the green beans next time, as I love those!! We will definitely order from here again!“

“We have been ordering take out from China 23 since they opened and have always been satisfied with the quality of the food. My last order I mistakenly ordered "volcano" wonton instead of the regular. I didn't realize my goof until I got home and read the receipt. I called back and they told me they make me the wonton right away if I would come back to pick it up. When I returned, I was told no charge for the regular wonton. I’ve been helped by Daniel on two separate occasions, and both times he’s been fantastic — friendly, patient, and genuinely attentive. He made the experience just as good as the dessert itself.

“Super impressed by how authentic the food here is. We just moved to NJ from California and have been looking for an authentic Chinese restaurant that’s not just about chow mein or general tso. Forgot to take pictures of all dishes. The spicy dishes have very complex tastes than just spicy, and the non spicy dishes are also super fresh and flavorful. The restaurant does get busy because it’s very popular amongst Chinese people, but the staff is always attentive and makes sure that all of our needs are met. Overall, a great experience and we will definitely come back.“

I had found one takeout place in Mendham that has done really well for years and when I work in that area I order it. On a whim I asked them how theirs was and said I would let her know. I stopped eating just to write how much I love this spot. I order almost once a week. The food never disappoints and I believe they truly deserve 5 stars. They have wonderful customer service, always pleasant when I call, speedy delivery, and quality food (and packaging) There is no other chinese food in bergen country i’ve found that I can say has all of these qualities about them. Tonight I ordered sweet and sour chicken with chicken lo mein. The lo mein is so good I would give it a 9/10. The sweet and sour chicken is my favorite. 10/10.
