“Entrance is welcoming as well as the staff, decorated beautifully dining area offers soft lighting. Not your average take out-upscale so is the quality of the food. Great 'lil resturant , next time will treat myself to have dinner at The Rice Shop!!“
“Quick stop on my way to the rail station. Kept it simple, pork fried rice and an egg roll. The rice was nicely loaded with pork and very flavorful. The egg roll was a little extra crispy but was still very good. And nicely filled too. Food was fresh and quick. Folks were very nice and courteous. No tables, just order and takeout. Not bad for New Jersey so if I get another chance to visit East Rutherford, I wouldn't mind stopping by here again.“
“Get the mapo tofu!! It’s not people’s go-to Chinese-American dish but it’s very flavorful and has a kick. I’ve definitely had less authentic mapo tofu. Everything was very fresh, you get a heaping portion. I got all I could ask for.“
“I'm seeing the bad reviews, and I can see how a place like this isn't going to be top of the game for much of their food. I wonder if our experience was different because we got there right when they opened. We got the veggie noodles with sesame sauce, which I thought was actually pretty good. It's not super flavorful, and the flavors aren't popping or anything, and they could probably do with some salt, but it was piping hot and fresh. Didn't get anything else, so can't speak to that. But I think this place is trying to be too many things - they have a lot of items on their menu. Uncertain whether I'd go back, since there are so many options for food in this mall, but it was a fairly decent experience.“
“10/10 highly recommend. Read about Potluck Club on the infatuation and they were spot on. Potstickers were delicious. The salt and pepper chicken was a first for me, but also delicious. And we had some noodle dish and added the hanger steak. Again delicious. Staff was so friendly and all busting their butts. Really nice to see them working as a team!“
“Arrived too early for our lunch reservations. Some of us were starved already, so checked Yelp for the best place to snack. This place was highly recommended. Easy to find, and many ways to search what we wanted. Most of us picked the #10 and I picked the #13 (fried bun). Took a bit for it to be ready but there were 5 orders to do at one shot. We decided to wait inside even though it was a tight fit. It was a little chilly outside. I think mostly, people order to pick up or have delivered. So the food was piping hot! But we didn't care, it was so good! And we had 3 different dipping sauces. The really spicy one my husband liked a lot. Two of us enjoyed the soy sauce one. My dad liked the sweet white sugar sauce. Everyone was so happy and we can't wait to return again. Definitely recommend.“
“This is some authentic Chinese food for sure. As someone who misses home a lot, I haven't had such well-made red braised pork was in a long while. The restaurant was a bit crowded, but their friendly servicer definitely makes up for it.“

“Great atmosphere and great service, food is authentic and good portion size. This is also very family friendly with lots of kids on the weekends. We really love the eggplant, it’s very delicious and goes well with rice. The rice crispy sizzling plate is good but the rice crispy is not crispy enough for me. We also ordered a bowl of seafood noodles, it’s very light, which is perfect for kids. They also sell Peking duck in slices (6.99 for 2), so you don’t have to get the entire duck.
