“A big shout out to my best latin place in Hoboken: Chango Kitchen. Traditional yummy latin dishes. Our faves are churrasco con chimichurri (skirt steakgrilled) and ropa vieja (shredded beef). My kids loved "alfajores with dulce de leche", "tres leches" and hot chocolate with when it's cold outside. Service is warm and friendly. We can visit the place multiple times and never get tired. #supportlocal“

“A tiny place, but what it lacks in size, it certainly makes up in cuisine.

It was my first time ordering from here, and I will definitely be back. I ordered the pollo guisado, arroz con pollo, and tostones. Very flavorful and delicious.
The portions were enough for leftovers.“

“Food was pretty good only had the pork t taco, shrimp taco and frozen Mojito. The drinks were strong and delicious. The shrimp taco was soo good The pork taco lacked flavor. The ambiance is cool.btje bright walls give it a festive vibe however during the summer there isn't much difference between inside or outside seating. By the time we left our table from inside, our clothes were sticking to our bodies. It's a sauna that with fans that blow hot air with a one working bathroom. Other than that I was satisfied.“

“What a gem. This cozy restaurant has everything I needed after a long day. The staff is friendly and polite. The space is comfortable - not too fancy and not too casual. Most importantly- the FOOD. The Salad Tropical was the most delicious salad I’ve had in my life - fresher than fresh with a unique and perfect blend of subtle flavors. I judge restaurants by their pork and the Lechon did not disappoint. Delicate flavorful seasoning complemented by tenderness. I will definitely remember this meal and recommend this place. If you get him as a server you are sure to have a beautiful experience and if the experience wasn’t enough the food and atmosphere were just as amazing.“

“Ropa Vieja has definitely hit the spot, service is great but they need to invest in new speakers for the music it's so loud coming from the corner, but if speakers were spread out along the perimeter the great music could be played without giving you a migraine when you leave.
Otherwise all else is great the food and staff!👍“

Great menu to share as family style The 2nd time I came, our group was able to enjoy their $45 3-course restaurant week menu. We had the pleasure of having Justin be our server on both occasion. “I ate at this restaurant during my Christmas vacation visit to New York. It is fantastic! The staff is friendly and welcoming. The food is so tasty. It was better than the big advertised restaurants. If you want a real delicious meal and some great music while you eat, go to this place. It's a hidden gem.“

“This was my first visit here. (I previously have had delivery on a couple of occasions and the food was very good.) Despite being a little early for our reservations and the place being very busy, we were seated immediately at the outdoor table I had requested in the reservations. The cocktails didn't take that long to be brought and were very good. The fried calamari appetizer (tapas) was outstanding- each piece perfectly crispy and not one piece was chewy. The sweet chili sauce worked very well with a mild heat in the middle of the tongue surrounded by sweetness. My wife enjoyed the jamon croquettas despite it lacking any sort of aioli or dipping sauce. My main dish of the deep fried Red Snapper was perfectly crisp on the outside, moist and tender inside and all around tasty. My wife enjoyed her fired cheese mofongo. Dessert of guava cheesecake and also the flan were good as well. Overall, service was good and the maitre d' walks around checking in on guests which is a nice touch. Overall, I thought the prices were very reasonable and you get nice size portions making it a good value. Just be aware that inside is fairly large and can get loud. Their windows are thick and outside you only really hear it when the door opens. Considering we live across the street and stare at the place from our windows, we'll be back, likely often.“

With constant changes on my end, the staff was always a phone call away, very courteous offering excellent advice to ensure the perfect feast. Oh and the food was amazing.“

Absolutely delicious lunch. The Ropa Vieja was pure comfort on a plate tender, juicy, and full of flavor that hits deep. You could taste the love in every bite.

The service was flawless warm, attentive, and professional without being overbearing. Real hospitality.

And the drinks? Chef’s kiss. Beautifully made, balanced, and definitely did what they needed to do 🍹✨

-The food very good (try the mojito)
-The staff very respectful and clean (they are always cleaning & I love it)
-Expensive ? Tbh NO (is one of the cheapest places I’ve went) Ive taken my 3 kids, my mom and I and my bill wont make it to 150.
Can get packed on weekends I prefer to call and get an estimate wait time.
You can enjoy a nice drink by yourself at the bar or eat with family ether or I believe you will leave with a good experience“

“Great food and great service. The food reminds me of home and is reasonably priced. We keep coming back for the ox tail stew, ribs, beef steak, porkchops, dumplings and the boneless chicharonnes de pollo. Most meals are served with white or yellow rice and beans or vegetables. If you want to try something different, they have the beef liver and squid ink fried rice which remind me of squid ink Paella. The combination meals are a great option to try out different dishes. The staff and owners always greet you with a warm welcome.“

“Hace poco hice un pedido para un evento social familiar por un valor de $540 pero decidí pagar con mi tarjeta de crédito, obviamente me cobran el impuesto tax 6.625% de venta, sin embargo, tuvieron el descaro de cobrarme un 2.9% adicional por el uso de la tarjeta de crédito. Not a fan of the yuca fries they were a bit on the dry side but its always a hit or miss when it comes to Yuca / Yuca fries. “I was amazed by "squid rice with shrimp". It's cooked with squid ink. There is no fishy taste at all but all the goodie including red pepper, green pepper oinion, pea and of course squid and shrimp. The drink is amazing. Be careful, they are very very strong! Owners and servers are super friendly as well.“
