“Quite simply The Blue Bottle has the best cuisine of any restaurant in the area that I live. And there are quite a few good ones. The only problem I have with them most often is getting a reservation on the weekend. I also have a problem managing culinary heat [a physical rather than a gastronomic one] and I wish I could tolerate more of it in some of their creations. I really recommend the place.“

“This is the definition of a hidden gem. Located in the Princeton Country Club (public), the food is outstanding and the chef is good at everything he puts on the menu. Service is kind, welcoming, and very accommodating. I didn't have a bite of food that I didn't like. Stand outs were the braised oxtail main, vegetable spring rolls, seafood gumbo with the catfish, shrimp with Alfredo, fried apple pie, BBQ chicken flatbread, A wonderful happy hour from 5-7pm.“

As a vegan, the variety of dishes to choose from was a relative rarity and greatly appreciated! I had the sweet potato and bean chilli which was really tasty, well balanced, gorgeously presented, hearty - the perfect dish for autumn. The plant based dishes were so well designed that my colleagues, both of whom eat meat, opted for vegan meals too!

The farm to table concept is fabulous and the quality of ingredients is noticeable on the first bite. Each staff member we had the pleasure of interacting with was lovely, and the service was excellent throughout.

“Celebrating 3 birthdays at Roots Ocean Prime with 8 people. Everyone loved their entrees (steaks ) which were cooked perfectly. Sides were tasty and enjoyed by everyone. Great wine list. “We went to dine with this rag tag restaurant and the experience was awful. The waitress had no teeth and asked my son for his? At first we thought “hey maybe they are joking” then all of a sudden. They lady grabbed his front bicuspid. Needless to say - at that point we were concerned. Because we had a long day we were still hungry. So we stuck around. The next thing you know. The toothless individual brought another toothless friend and tried to get my tooth as well. At that point. We know. Time to get out of here. We were cooked. Unlike the food at this gross place.“

Rustic cozy western vibe and traditional fare is accompanied by a solid assortment of appetizers to choose from. The steaks are reliable if not a bit plain, but consistency is key here. The staff service can be hit or miss depending on the training of those on hand on the given day, but they are generally attentive and do a good job.“

With four kids and four adults, we weren’t sure what to expect, especially since the tavern was pretty busy with only one server. At first, we were a little concerned it might be overwhelming, but Mike, our waiter, quickly proved us wrong. He was absolutely amazing! Despite the crowd, he handled everything seamlessly and was extremely attentive.
