“Lets Start Here..... The website has an issue, The menu has the wrong days they are open, and the prices are different. But those are small things and I would just suggest giving them a call to make sure they are open. Ambiance of his place is what you would expect. You are not going there for a 5 star luxury experience. This is a local family owned Indian spot with great food. It is very clean but it is not going to be on the cover of Restaurant Interiors anytime soon. Service was great. The gentleman apologized for the information being incorrect, was very polite and my food was ready on time. Now the Food. As my cohorts opened their containers every dish looked correct. Not too creamy, just enough Ghee floating on top. The consistency of each meal was what you would expect. Flavor was excellent, rice was fresh, we couldn't have asked for anything more. This will become our new Indian lunch spot moving forward.“

With that out of the way, let me share my experience with Chatpati Delhi.I was visiting my cousins in NJ for the first time and as most Indians wanted to relish some good Indian food as the first thing in the city. My cousin suggested Chatpati Delhi and who can resist chaat, so we went there.We ordered pretty much all the usual suspects - pav bhaji, Vada pav, paneer tikka, Pani puri, khasta kachori. Now I count myself as a through and through foodie so I don't get satisfied easily. And the expectations were all the more high because we don't get good chaat in Austin, TX (where I live).To my utter surprise Chatpati Delhi not only not disappoint, they actually exceeded my expectations and that of my family. My wife and I couldn't stop expressing our gratitude for the delicious, and flavorful food we were getting to enjoy. The paneer tikka was especially soft, and masaledaar. The pav bhaji was way better than some of the best pav bhaji I had in India.Even better than the food was the exceptional service. Abhijeet from the restaurant was super warm and welcoming; made us feel very special and like family.I am stepping out to pick up some more of the amazing chaat from Chatpati Delhi before we head to the airport. “Had an unforgettable experience at this place. Tried appam, idiyappam, porotta, kochi special chicken curry, chemmeen ularthiyathu, mango lassi, butter milk. Everything was so good and took me back to kerala. I was so content after the meals and thanks to everyone there for being so welcoming and homely. The service was awesome even in the pouring rain, the entire live dosa station was setup in the garage in minutes. “Best kathiyavadi thaali. I dont think I’ve had a better kathiyavadi thaali before. This is my go to spot for some really good kathiyavadi vegetarian food. Unlimited refills and the garlic chutny on the side is so so good. They also replace bajara no rotlo with rotli if you ask them. Bengan bharthu and sev tomato is my all time favorite!! There are some places you have to go every so often, and for me this is it!! If you like kathiyavadi food, you must go here!! Service is A+“

“We had a party in our backyard which included around 80 guests. Rottu kadai has a very good variety of dosas and each one of them tastes amazing. All our guests throughly enjoyed the experience of live dosa and the food. Kids especially had a lot of fun watching the making of and pizza and ice cream dosas and eating them. They went above and beyond in getting dosas ready very quickly. On top of dosas, their chutney, Sambar, idly and variety rices were delicious.We had a wonderful experience with Arun and his team!! “Very well organised cafe with variety of vegetarian meals. We had fragrant hot Masala Tea and Madras coffee. We ordered Gobi Manchurian (fried cauliflower) really nice. We had Chilli Paneer(cheese) is not really that spicy. Somaso Chaat is so flavourful. Khaman Djokla was nice to wash down our chilli and spices from our meal.“

“Previously the Hot Breads in Monroe, Currys & Cakes is under new ownership but remains an Indian bakery. The owners are very nice and helpful. One day I called asking if they had pav bhaji buns available and they didn't, but they asked me how many I needed and told me to come at a certain time because they had begun baking the bread. When I picked them up, the buns were still steaming hot and they remained hot once I arrived home. They were fluffy, soft, and delicious. I appreciated their kind actions and look forward to supporting their business in the future!“

“I had a party at home for 50 for my daughters birthday and catered all the food from Mrs Kumar’s Monroe NJ and the food was GREAT, we had a live Dosa station and a variety of dosas masala dosa, spicy gun powder, dosa paneer, dosa cheese, Mysore masala dosa, ghee dosa and green chili onion dosa the dosa station was a huge hit of the party all my guests loved it. Then we had chicken biryani, fish pakora, tandoori fish, chicken kadai, jeera rice, palak dal, Guti vankaya, vegetarian Manchurian, peanut chutney, coconut chutney, sambar, raita carrot halwa to name a few.Mrs Kumar staff was very friendly courteous and they took good care of my guests. I had a 6 member crew of Mrs Kumar who did a splendid job. They were so nice to the kids older people all the guests.
