Ruby, Raj and Tony were phenomenal in their help, packing up the food and their understanding of the situation. “It was our honor and privilege to be a part of a dear friend's B'day Bash last Sunday at Kochi. Dining at Kochi was one of the, if not THE, most memorable experience ever. We were totally floored by the exquisite food - and service - provided by Chef and Owner Mr. Jebu Matthew and his team. From the cool berry drink and amazing classic South Indian appetizers, to the numerous - and for us, many new - items that kept appearing in front of us almost magically during the main meal, served in the traditional South Indian style (on banana leaves), right through the delectable halwa and delicious jaggery rice payasam (desserts), we could feel the love and careful attention with which each item was prepared and pride with which each item was served. Plus, being served by Mr. Matthew himself was, in and of itself, humbling. He patiently explained the intricacies of each delicacy which helped us understand the complexity of the cuisine's varied flavors. To be actually seated (for hours) and served at the table greatly enhanced the culinary experience. We have rarely, if ever, felt that we have consumed a feast - but now, can proudly say so - because of Mr. Matthew and our experience at Kochi. “I recently ate at Cumin N Eat, and honestly, the food completely lived up to the hype.

From the moment the dishes came out, you could tell everything was made fresh and with real attention to flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced—not too overpowering, but still packed with that rich, authentic taste that makes you want to keep eating even when you’re full. Every bite had depth, and you can tell they don’t cut corners when it comes to ingredients.

But the highlight for me had to be the wings. They were absolutely amazing—crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and coated in a sauce that had the perfect mix of flavor and heat. Not too spicy, not too mild—just right. They were easily some of the best wings I’ve had, and I’d go back just for those alone.

“I honestly felt bad seeing Sumu’s Kitchen so empty when we walked in, because the food turned out to be absolutely amazing. This is genuinely one of those hidden gems that deserves a lot more attention.

What impressed me the most was how fresh everything was. Nothing tasted like it came out of a freezer or had been sitting around for hours. Everything we ordered was freshly made to order, and you could really taste the difference.

We tried the bondas, onion pakoda, dosa, Hakka noodles, mirchi bajji, and gobi Manchurian, and every single dish was delicious. The bondas and pakodas were hot, fresh, and crispy, the dosa was excellent, and the Hakka noodles and gobi Manchurian were especially good. And the coffee was sooo good — definitely don’t skip it!

Another big shout-out to Ganesh, the manager. He handled everything so well and was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The way he took care of the customers and managed the orders, you would honestly think he was the owner. That kind of personal attention made the experience even better.

All their dishes are perfectly seasoned and carefully prepared. The buffet is extensive, with many of my favorites. We tried the Kola Urundai, which was absolutely authentic and delicious. The Mutton Thalappakatti Biryani and Ambur Chicken Biryani were both flavorful and perfectly cooked. The Chicken Lollipop was juicy, saucy, and packed with flavor. We also ordered the Vanjaram (King Fish) Fry, which was crispy on the outside, tender inside, and very tasty.

“My husband and I were craving Indian so we decided to try this place. Firstly, picking up it was the nicest customer service. The man was so personal and friendly, it was like walking into a family restaurant. He gave me a tea, some yummy dessert and he didn’t even want to accept money for it.

“I ate here a few years ago - don't recall my whole meal but i remember it was good - love mint chuntey. The manager / staff was friendly. The space is small but organized and clean. Recently i ordered through uber eats - they had a buy one get one free promo on the chicken tikka. I also got a few orders of garlic naan. The chicken tikka with rice was good - moist chicken, good flavor and not too spicy. However the garlic naan was disappointing - it was a tad bit salty but mostly the bread was flat and dense - it should be a little more fluffy with a nice chew. Hope they read this and improve it - would give it another try.“
