“Cozy health cafe offering high protein waffles, crepes, teas/coffees, shakes, and more. I had the delicious dolce waffle which in addition to the high protein comes with fruit. The iced chai is lovely. My companion had the savory salty waffle and a berry protein shake, both of which he greatly enjoyed. We are happy to have found this gem.

Vegetarian options: Not sure if Vegan (ask), but for the lacto ovo crowd it's great

“I came in for a quick meal and really enjoyed it. I initially got a breakfast burrito but they were out of tortillas so I got it on ciabatta instead and it made for a tasty sandwich. The vibe was nice and relaxed and my server Mattias was attentive. Will definitely come back!“

“The food and the guy working at the deli both tremendous. The check out lady ruined the entire experience rude and obviously unhappy she is working. She had nothing but attitude no smile no hello just rude. African American, heavy set her register was right next to the lady assisting open register. NYU is the best send her home.“

“I call it a coffee shop but it's a lot more than that... It's also a deli with great food, delicious bakery items, and excellent coffee. And the manager and workers are helpful and friendly. They open at 9a and are in the lobby of a high rise office building. Definitely will return each time I'm working in Brooklyn...today was my fourth time! I will update with pics when I go tomorrow!“

“I was so excited to finally try Gilberto’s Cafeteria, especially because I came here to celebrate my 16th birthday! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was beautiful, warm, and welcoming, which made the whole experience feel even more special.

I ordered the Cuban sandwich, and it was absolutely delicious. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and cooked perfectly. You could really taste the Cuban flavors, and it honestly exceeded my expectations. I recommend if this is your first time coming to defenitly try it.

What made the experience even better was the service. Everyone was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming throughout our meal. It really felt like they cared about making our visit special. Being a small family owned business you can see the dedication they put into making their costumers happy which was so wholesome.

Overall, Gilberto’s Cafeteria was such a great choice for my birthday. Between the amazing food, beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful service, it made a special day even more memorable. I’m already looking forward to coming back and trying more of the menu!“

“I came to NYU for a week-long program during the summer. Some of the food was good while some was not, especially the breakfast. However, having visited several colleges during the summer, I've found that the menu isn't typically as good as what's offered during the regular school season, so it is completely understandable. Despite this, I still enjoyed the food and the variety of options available.“

“I highly recommend Daria/Dasha as a personal trainer. She is very knowledgeable, motivating, and truly cares about her clients’ progress. I’ve learned so much training with her! Truly the best she is!“

“Food is great, prepared quickly. Good selection of either sweet or savoury breakfasts. Place is very clean (which is always a good sign, as some places in NY are quite grubby, but this one is spotless). Helpful staff always welcoming with a smile. Prices are same as everywhere.“

“Ferris Forever, out of all the dining halls on campus this is a solid choice. Although there are places like Brownies Cafe which serve fantastic sandwiches or the food trucks along Broadway, Ferris is an undergrad staple (esp since you can take food out on the disposable plates and take cups, bananas, and other things on the dl). Staff is always nice; food is good and all you can eat.“

“I took the tram over to explore Roosevelt Island. From the tram landing, I walked south on the western side side side facing Manhattan. Great views.
I needed coffee coffee first and Google Maps advises that the Cornell school has a public coffee shop. I easily found it and went in. Very large space with lots of tables inside and outside. Long counter serving hot food and sandwiches. Coffe is available at the cashier counter.
First I got an Americano . It was pretty good.
After touring around for a couple of hours, I came back to have another coffee and the I ordered a sandwich of the day - turkey, provolone and carrot on focaccia b read. It was delicious and very large.
