We were fortunate enough to be seated in front of the chefs. The head Chef was so kind and making jokes all night which made us feel very comfortable and welcomed. Thank you! “After two visits in the past six weeks, I have had a very consistent positive experience. The food is great. Cocktails tasty. I like their background sound track which appears as a mix of 80s new rock.

Had the sunflower linguini most recently- what a great marriage of flavor! Pesto based heavy on the garlic which I loved. We started with the whipped ricotta with flat bread- nice consistency and the thinly sliced grapes add a pleasant texture and taste.

Service was awesome. Very attentive- helpful with menu suggestions and prompt.

Overall this has been a nice find as I’ve only been to Jersey City twice. It’s right next door to White Eagle and a great opportunity to combine dinner with live music.“

“Great atmosphere! Cute little spot! The stracciatella appetizer was SOOO good! We also tried the spicy vodka fried burrata 10/10. The Caesar salad was a little fishy but that means it’s fresh! We also tried the chicken Parmesan with spicy vodka rigatoni 10/10! The cacio e pepe was okay in my opinion but my boyfriend loved it! Tiramisu was good too. Our server was really nice, I didn’t get her name unfortunately. All of the staff were very sweet. It might not be a super authentic Italian spot, but there’s tons of other places for that ;)“

“I was staying with my family at the doubletree and we were looking for some good pizza...this place hands down was delicious! My kids devoured both pizzas we got and the garlic knots..I got the caprese salad, which was delicious! They were super polite on the phone and delivered within 20 mins when they said 45 Mims to an hour. This was the hotels #1 recommendation and they nailed it. Looked thru the reviews and the people that gave negative reviews have no taste or class. We recommend this place 100%...you won't be disappointed! Thank you for your great service and food!“

“I live in South Jersey went to Jersey City with my wife and daughter. Saw posting about Carmine’s had to give it a try. The food was outstanding 3 sandwiches and the eggplant rollotnie. The flavor , sauce chicken cutlets , Prosciutto was the best. It’s a 2 hour drive but worth it!!!“

“Cangiano's is a delightful gem of a find for all things Italian in Jersey City. We found this Deli to be an excellent source for Italian groceries and cooked meals, including sandwiches and pastas. There is an enormous selection of options,and the staff is super nice and friendly. We had the Penne Pasta in Vodka Sauce as well as a Grilled Chicken sandwich and both were excellent. We are excited to come back for more!“

The food has never let me down, and the employees are always quick to answer when asked anything. “I always thought of this place primarily in terms of takeout but I had my daughter's first birthday there a couple of weeks ago and would be remiss not to share what a wonderful experience it was on all fronts. First of all, as other reviewers have noted the food is incredible. Every single person in our party raved about their meals--mostly pizza orders, but I had a hot sub and I could not devour it fast enough, it was so delicious. Quality ingredients and really authentic preparation. Beyond the great food though I want to highlight what a lovely experience we had at the establishment. The restaurant was so accommodating to our needs--they let us bring in our own decorations and cake, even let me come in early to set up, and it really made the day feel special and personal. Unlike most other places, they also let us relax and enjoy ourselves. We lingered for a while and at no point did they make us feel like we needed to wrap it up and leave. As the mother of the birthday girl it really meant a lot to me, and I don't think I would have gotten that experience anywhere else.
