“I live in South Jersey went to Jersey City with my wife and daughter. Saw posting about Carmine’s had to give it a try. The food was outstanding 3 sandwiches and the eggplant rollotnie. The flavor , sauce chicken cutlets , Prosciutto was the best. It’s a 2 hour drive but worth it!!!“

The staff is so lovely, the food is fresh and delicious and reasonably priced for the quality, the drinks are fun. “I grew up in NYC so I’m no stranger to halal carts. Since I’ve moved to JC (which I know is only across the river, but the food scene really is different), I have yet to find my go-to halal spot… until now! I paid $10 for a chicken over rice. “I've been looking forward to trying this restaurants menu items. yesterday was only the 1st, for sure. I had a shrimp po boy, perfect, packed with shrimp, just the right sauces, really good. I took home a container of their vegan lentil soup which is better than my lentil soup. that's not a small thing. beautifully balanced flavor, really delicious. “In a city full of incredible cafes, Cafe Lafayette quickly became my favorite. The food and drinks are exceptional, and the environment is warm and inviting. “Got to know this small corner spot because of my teens, very nice place the owner and the Ecuadorean girl that handles the food are great very attentive and hospitable they make you feel right at home. The food if you like halal the breakfast and pastries ? are soft and delicious the seating is alittle tight but if you don’t mind it then you’ll enjoy the atmosphere I recommend for anyone in jersey city near Hudson community college and Saint Peter’s university. Definitely recommend?“
