“Incredible vibe. Unique vinyl selection, amazing food, and a host who has mastered the art of the evening. It feels like dining at the house of someone with impeccable taste in both spice and sound. The speakers are the absolute star of the room—crisp, warm, and perfectly tuned to the space. 10/10, would move in if I could.“

“Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever been to! Ordered the jellof rice w/ lamb and it was DELICIOUS — their homemade juices are a must have as well. And that puff-puff *chefs kiss.* 10/10 across the board with their lovely and beautiful staff. 😊“

“This place is a hidden gem. We arrived on a very rainy day, yet once we got inside there was sunshine everywhere. My friend and I were so happy. The food was just delicious and the service was top notch.
I am vegetarian 90% of the time, however, I had fish that day and it was superb. We had the Poisson Grill, the Sweet Plantains, and the Ris Gras with no meat. Let me tell you, I ate slower on purpose!! So flavorful and so smooth… The sauce that came with the Ris Gras was amazing too!!
This experience could not have been the same without Amy!! She was the best waitress ever. She greeted us like we were family and her smiles, amazing knowledge of the menu, and energy was just perfect. I used to train servers and Amy made it look so easy. Please support this off the beaten path restaurant! Tell them Chase sent you!!!“

“I ordered the Bissap and Ginger drinks. Personally I am not a fan of the ginger- it’s a little spicy which I’m pretty sensitive too. I gifted those to my mom who liked them! I really enjoy the Bissap. It is flavor packed and delicious!“

“I'm annoyed at myself for the delay in coming here. Satisfying dishes. Remarkably helpful employees. Tasty spice combinations. Fair bills and pleasant staff. The neighborhood stays active after dinner hours. This restaurant achieves total quality.“
“Food is wonderful! Owner is incredibly kind. He let us sample to make sure we were happy with our choices. The art in the store is also made by the person that makes the food. They have ginger sorrel in the back. That was refreshing with a slight kick. Recommend take out!“

“Actually, I'm originally from Kenya and I like West African food; I stumbled on this place by accident, the word Buffet meant something to me, I decided to check it out, little did I know that it's an African cuisine; Gad and her mom were very nice to me, I picked all types of food on the Buffet to carry home into my fridge. The food is GREAT, Togo and Ghanaian food Gad said, the service is GREAT, very friendly people; at the end of eating a little taste of it, I forgot my important documents in there; that means the food was just too good until I lost my memory for a bit. Gad is real great in interacting with customers, like daughter like mom. I'll go back to pick upbmy documents and eat some more. I give it 5 star in all categories, you should check it out asap. “Hands down Teranga! Good thieb, nems and bissap. Small shop, so come for a intimate time with a friend or two. LOL! It’s Senegal so dont show up with low blood sugar (you will wait for a proper meal). I wish Tilapia was not the staple/cheap fish of America, but they replicate well with the cheap fish. Onions in mustard on the side are phenomenal. Thiakary brings a tear to you eye, and comfort to your belly. Teranga! (Did I mention we dont eat anywhere else but home ? Jerejef!!! )“

“I keep finding reasons to eat at this restaurant. All their offerings are tasty and enjoyable. Team: exceptional. Careful and experienced. This restaurant doesn't overcharge despite its popular address. My group has decided this place is worth revisiting.“
“I would post a picture but I ate my entire platter (2 people could've shared that but I ate all of it). Everything was delicious- it looks like they had not so great reviews a few months ago but maybe they fixed the issue because my meal and fresh juice was fantastic, especially for the price.“

“I had the most phenomenal dining experience at Kings Pride, a Nigerian restaurant in Jersey City. The exceptional customer service by the owner, Veronica, truly made it stand out. Veronica went above and beyond to bring the essence of Nigerian cuisine to our table, even taking us behind the scenes to demonstrate the traditional preparation of the dishes. Her passion for sharing the culture and flavors of Nigeria was truly inspiring. The Jollof rice with stewed goat was an absolute standout, bursting with rich, aromatic flavors that left a lasting impression. The Ogbono soup was a true staple of Nigerian cuisine and paired perfectly with a side of fufu. The classic homemade Zobo drink was a refreshing and delightful complement to the meal. Veronica's warm hospitality and her dedication to showcasing the authenticity and rich cultural heritage of Nigerian cuisine made our experience truly memorable. Kings Pride is more than just a restaurant; it's a place that brings people together through the love for great food and the celebration of Nigerian traditions. I highly recommend Kings Pride as a must-visit for anyone seeking an authentic and enriching culinary experience. Veronica's commitment to preserving and sharing the intricacies of Nigerian cuisine deserves the utmost support to keep this remarkable restaurant thriving.“
