“This place is, with out a doubt, the best Acai/Chia pudding place I have ever been to. On top of that, the chia pudding recipe tis shop is using is something distinctly different from other chia pudding I've had. It's blue, and tastes far more awesome than normal chia pudding.I accidentally discovered this little shop while visiting a friend near Montclair. I live in NYC - caught a train to Montclair Bay St station, and wandered up the block from there looking for some treats to share with friends.Jackpot.I don't live near Montclair, and this location is not convenient to me. “I bumped into this shop shortly after they opened not too long ago. I was extremely pleased with my experience. Excellent juicy lamb and chicken gyro sandwiches, salads, and rice platter! All halal, too.They also serve other dishes. Their menu is not extensive, but I prefer this, since everything is made freshly and their turnover is really fast. The salads are very fresh, everything is juicy and their portions are very generous. The gyro sandwiches and platters include a can of soda, so everything is in my opinion very competitively priced.The people in the store are very kind and attentive, and I have become a frequent visitor who is greeted with a smile. When showing the place to a visiting family, who praised the platter the “best gyro” they ever had, the owner gave one of the kids an extra platter to enjoy later. “I recently found Jungle Bowls after strolling around Bay Ridge and being a fan of anything acai, I had to try it and am overall glad that I have! It is a small shop, but full of selections that can appeal to all those looking for a quick drink or desiring something more substantial. There are lots of offerings that vary from shots, to juices, smoothies, acai bows (and other varieties like coconut, pittaya etc) to toast and even overnight oats!I’ve ordered their acai bowls, overnight oats and most recently a “Hulk” smoothie. The acai bowls are plentiful and chocked full of yumminess with a substantial amount of acai. The overnight oats are rich, hearty and satisfying. The smoothie was my least favorite because all I could taste was the protein and the almond milk and none of the kale, banana and strawberry that were supposedly in there. So here are my impressions:Pros- Clean, friendly staff, good prices, tasty options and did I mention the variety!Cons - if they’re overwhelmed with a large order, be prepared to wait. I ordered 3 items and even though I was cautioned that they were finishing up a large order in front of me, I waited 23 minutes and saw 2 customers who came in after me get served and had their orders done. I understand that they had single items, but it is not fair to watch people come in after me get their items while I waited as long as I did. And even though the staff was apologetic, there was no compensation offered for that. Smoothies could be more balanced flavor wise.Give them a shot when you’re in the neighborhood. I’ll definitely be back for the acai and oats.“

“I met a work colleague here the other day as we were looking for someplace to set up for the afternoon prior to an evening event. I ordered espresso and it was excellent. I then ordered a chicken sandwich with grilled peppers and onions, it was very very good. The Cafe is constantly busy and there are teenagers everywhere because I'm guessing there is a high school near by. The bathroom was impeccably clean!“

“The owner of this location is really kind. I ordered through ubereats at the wrong location and called them and they were nice enough to try to cancel my order. I told them to proceed with my order since that option is not there for ubereats to cancel, and the owner felt bad so he offered to give me the ginger shots. He also kept our açaí bowls cold before we arrived to pick it up. The ginger shots were really refreshing, we felt a surge of energy after drinking it. The service is fast, friendly and courteous. The shop is small but there is seating near the window. My personal fave is the passion fruit bowl (add Nutella if you're feeling frisky) The service is quick and efficient and the decor is super cute and beachy. It's a smaller spot so it's not like you can go with a big group but it's def a cute spot for a day date or again after gym, after training activities.“
