“Been going there since Middle School. I love the food and the portions they have it is a good price for a portion and the staff there are lovely people.

Dietary restrictions: I have some dietary restrictions such as no cheese or no tomatoes and I know how weird tomatoes are to have as a dietary restriction but they accommodate and or at least tell you what to avoid eating.

Parking: Parking spots I think there is 2 infant of the location 3 across the lot and below the street on the side where the location is there is probably 4

Kid-friendliness: It has a table to keep the kids calm as well as these coin machines and I've seen once where they helped a lady who had a baby stroller sit and help her with a chair as well put the baby stroller away so it wouldn't disturb the other customers.“

“Ok. So I've seen good and bad reviews. Maybe it's all about what time you go there. I popped my head in this establishment around 6:30am. The bagels were fresh. I'm use to a higher standard of eggs but you can't expect much here. Kind of felt like a truck stop. A good amount of people seem to stop there on their way to work/school. Being what is it, it's decent. Spots like this are all over the place in New Jersey. But like I said, the bagels were fresh. Not a large verity of items to pick from when it comes to drinks, potatoes chips, candy bars, etc. Funny part, they wanted $8 for 3 Snapples. I'm like, what is the exact price for one... It was too early and I was in a rush so I just paid and left. Not a plane that I would recommend.“

Their salads are made fresh on the spot... they cut everything fresh as they need em... they don't store the lettuce pre cut in tubs like most restaurants do. “I stopped in on a whim because I was in the neighborhood. I got 4 bagels for the family and the veggie cream cheese. Fresh, excellent top-tier bagels! Black Russian and Egg! Plain! All delicious. We're all lucky in NJ that most bagels we can get are at least okay, but these were a cut above! And the cream cheese was delicious and fresh - vegetables still had a little crunch!

Also, I appreciate that they discourage people coming in and just buying up all the bagels. In the 5 minutes I was in there, lots of people popped in, clearly regulars, for their breakfast. It definitely felt like a go-to place in the community and they make sure they can be open to serve as many as possible. That's cool. I look forward to returning!“

“Nana’s Deli has recently rebranded as the first and only sourdough bagel shop in Jersey City. They use sourdough starter from my favorite neighborhood bakery, Sourdough Society.

Each bagel is made fresh daily. Their sourdough bagels have a light crisp on the outside and a soft, pillowy center. They’re chewy without being tough, so they won’t break your jaw.

I’ve been picking up sourdough loaves regularly from Sourdough Society, located right inside Nana’s Bagel. Truly some of my favorite sourdough around!

My favorite! I love an open-faced bagel, and the sourdough base made it even better. The lox was perfectly savory, layered over a generous swipe of scallion cream cheese with red onion and capers. Truly a chef's kiss.

I’ve always loved Nana’s hot pastrami sandwich, and this sourdough bagel version was just as good. The pastrami was smoky, tender, and juicy. As a carnivore, I just wished there were a few more pastrami slices.“

Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. So I get tuna fish instead and it’s about as good as it gets. The staff is friendly and do a good job. What a place!“

“Absolutely amazing experience at Yummy Bagel & Deli! I ordered their stuffed bagel and it was seriously next level. A plain bagel loaded with cream cheese inside, then topped with melted cheese and garlic butter. So simple but SO good. What really made the visit stand out was the service. The owner came by to greet us personally, which was such a nice touch, and even let us try their coconut pound cake. They also have a parking lot, which makes it super convenient. “I live in the area and attend college out of town so getting to the library on my off days is tough. I've been looking for a place with a chill ambiance, wifi, good tea, and coffee. Well, look no more for me. I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Great rustic look, comfy seating with back support, loads of outlets for laptops, and the second-floor space are super cute and cozy too. Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She made me the Tumeric latte for me and I all but licked the cup clean. I had the hummus & cucumber on sourdough toast and it was divine. Also, a great option for vegans. “We visited the place last Saturday. The cheese bread is fresh but not really the bagels we got. We waited so long ; we found out that my daughter’s order was given to someone else but they did not care to replace it at once. When we asked about our order, that’s the time they rushed to prepare it , in less than five minutes, the sandwich was handed to us. When we were in the car since we’re already late for our next appointment, my daughter found out that the replacement was wrong. She paid for plain bagel with double eggs, bacon, and cheese but she was given with plain bagel with cheese only. They asked for our phone number but did not initiate the call. I hope they will do better in their team work.“
