“In Philly, a spot hides, away from the fame,Where cheesesteak's an art, not just a game.Their bread, oh so fine,Soft yet holds the line,A local secret, unnamed, lays claim.Fresh daily it's made, a perfect base,For fillings that in harmony interlace. Not a big name in lights,But it ignites delights,True Philly flavor, it's the best chase.“
“I had a great time here! I’m visiting Philadelphia from out of town. You order at the front counter — the server was affable and had a great suggestion when I asked which cheesesteak to get with coleslaw. I got the Heater with hot sauce on the side. The cheesesteak was a comfortable amount of spice and i got to control my ratio of hot sauce to coleslaw. I am a coleslaw enjoyer as well: the coleslaw here was light, fresh and it cut through the spice and balanced the fat flavor in the cheesesteak, perfectly. Highly recommend!“
“The pizza is really good. I like the flavor of the pizza and the chicken tenders. The garlic knots are fresh and they taste just as good if you eat it the next day. The staff is friendly and ordering online is easy and quick. I would recommend this place.“
“Was visiting the zoo and the art museum in Philly with my wife and kids. We got hungry and being in Philly we decided on steak sandwiches. Ironically the best place for steak sandwiches was not in Philly, it was in New Jersey! My wife looked up this place and we stopped in. It is hands down the best place to go to get an amazing steak sandwich.Only thing better than those sandwiches is yhe wonderful people working there!“
“It’s was our first time trying out Oh Brother and wow we were highly impressed. My daughter and I tried the Seeded Coop Sandwich, and that first bit of that sandwich was amazing. The taste and quality of the all the ingredients were so delicious. Now, the customer service was very welcoming! Joseph was very helpful and friendly. He made our experience great. Tina was also very helpful and friendly. It’s so hard to find great customer service like the one Joseph and Tina gave my family! If you are in the area looking for a cheesesteak, you should give them a try.“
“I have to say my daughter and I had the best cheese steaks ever. I am from South Philly and very picky too and the cheese steaks here were delicious. I will be telling more of my family and friends to order here. The owner was so nice and the place was immaculate. We will be back ❤️“
“Selected this spot after seeing great reviews. Did not disappoint. Ordered the chicken cheesesteak with cheddar and all the add ons, ribeye cheesesteak, onion rings, and fries. The sandwiches were delicious and hearty. And let me tell you about the onion rings- they were out of this world. The best onion rings on this planet hands down! ?? Portion sizes were great. The staff was helpful and accommodating as well!“
“AMAZING VEGAN PHILLY STEAK.I ordered with GrubHub. I wanted to experience the sandwich and looked for a vegetarian option. This place WAS AWESOME.First I saw how far it was from my hotel but the sandwich still arrived warm and tasty.I also got the Bay FF and ordered well done, hoping they would be good with the drive. They were of course not as hot (which I expected) but they were still pretty crispy and so good! Will be a must have when I visit again.Dietary restrictions: Great vegan sandwich .“
“This place is AMAZING!!!! I saw pictures of their breakfast sandwiches pop into my FB page and immediately woke up my Fiance (I'm pregnant) lol and we drove right over. We were greeted by an extremely sweet woman who filled us in on the menu and other meals they offer. It was VERY cute inside - the building used to be Nardi's and then Good to Go foods, I do not know how I've missed this gem for the past 2 years. Guys, stop passing it. GO HERE. The prices were phenomenal- it was around $25 for 3 HUGE STACKED sandwiches and hash browns. The sandwiches were absolutely delicious!! The spices? The meats??? My lord. Perfection. I'll never go anywhere else for a breakfast sandwich again. They've ruined me for anything else. My eyes popped open with that first bite and I couldn't believe how each bite got better somehow. We had the bacon, egg and cheese and the steak egg and cheese to split. I couldn't decide which was better because they were BOTH so different in taste and, legit, PERFECTION. If you are in a rush, call ahead to order because it's all made right then and perfection takes a few minutes to make. My daughter stopped chewing after her first bite and she looked at me like "WHAT?!" lol They're open Thurs- Sun and with these prices, I won't be making breakfast on the weekend ever again. Parking was easy as it's the huge lot right there on the corner of Franklin and 561. Don' take my word for it - go immediately and see for yourself.Parking: Big free parking lot with plenty of parking and easy to enter and exit.“
“One of my new favorite spots for a cheesesteak. Incredible bread, excellent blend of steak with cheese and onion. Definitely worth a wit during lunch and dinner rushes. The bread absorbs all the juices. Steak comes out hot. Staff is friendly. Will definitely stop by when im back in the area.Parking: Decent parking. Lots of street parking and there’s a commercial lot across the street“
“If you are looking for a great old fashion tasty hoagie, Chick's is the best deli I've been to in years.,just found out about this place through my 89 year old neighbor whom have been going to Chick's over 40 plus years. There chicken cheesesteak is awesome and everyone that works there seems to be extremely nice.I don't know what anyone else would say about this great hoagie and steak place in South Jersey but they have my vote for the best sandwich place in New Jersey.“
“Delicious! Only had their cheesesteak here, which was very unique. Their non-seeded hoagie roll was also fresh and tasty. The cherry pepper mayo used may get a little overwhelming as there's a lot going into this steak. I ordered online on a late Monday afternoon and took about 10 minutes for two to be made. Will gladly come back.Parking: Street parking on both sides. 2 and 3 hour paid parking available depending on time. Free after posted times.“
“What is this place ?? You maybe asking yourself and the answer to your question is……. HEAVEN!!!!! This place is Heaven I mean the phillthy cheesesteak was immaculate. It was so good that I had to stop halfway into my meal to call and say how amazing it is thank you Sandy so much hope I got the name correct. Oh I also got it DoorDashed and it came so perfect still ????????“
“Awesome food in Philly, glad it was our first stop in the city for food, the Philly cheesesteak is phenomenal, very well seasoned and juicy ribeye, fries were great as well. The service is awesome! Do yourself a favor as well and get the fruity pebble milkshake as a treat after dinner! Thank you for the hospitality!“
“My boyfriend and I used to live right around the corner from Pasha’s and loved it for lunch or a delicious, filling dinner. We moved to a different part of the city but went tonight for takeout. Not only was the food delicious (falafel is always so incredible) and the portions are huge, they remembered me when I walked in the door! They asked me how I was, asked about my partner, and even let us take one of their delicious desserts as an extra! It put such a huge smile on my face!Would absolutely recommend to anyone in the area, 10/10 food AND service!“
“So I recently discovered this place looking for lunch for work. The first time I ordered from here I got a cheesesteak, cheese waffle fries and a slice of bbq pizza. Now, the fries were good, they give a great portion for a small. The cheesesteak would’ve been great also but someone was a little heavy handed with the salt shaker and they kind of blew the taste for me. Don’t get me wrong, it was good but the overpowering of the salt kind of ruined it but i still ate it. Last is the slice of pizza. That was delicious, i just wish they would keep it in a bit longer so the crust can get a little crispier. It was the first thing i ate and had to peel the crust off to eat with every bite i took. Overall, it's a cool laid back place. I would still recommend it to those who are looking for a pizza place downtown. They also have some desserts in the fridge that look absolutely appetizing. Oh, the macadamia nut cookies are out of this worlddddd!“
“I am a local and I visit Jimmy’s very often! Multiple times a week. The service is always fast and friendly. The water ice is some of the best in south Philly and the pizza pretzel is my go to for a quick bite to eat. I highly recommend jimmys water ice!!“
“As soon as you open the door, you’re met with that feeling of nostalgia. The guys are great and take your order right away. They even give you a small concert by singing the songs on the radio while preparing your food. I take the hour long drive from Delaware to Philadelphia as often as I can and I’m never disappointed.“
“My husband and I went here and he’s a Philly native. We’ve been touring different cheesesteak spots to see who’s the best and he said it was the best cheesesteak he’s had in a long time. The bread was nice and soft you can tell it was fresh. The meat was seasoned well and you can tell the cheese they use is quality. We got extra cheese on our cheesesteak and we would definitely go again. It’s a little pricey but worth it“
“I've come to Bubby's for many years for breakfast and lunch until my job moved to another section of the City. Now I so miss everything Bubby. I happened to be in the area for a meeting and said I just had to stop and get one of my favorites from Bubby's - the chicken cutlet hoagie. You watch the plentiful cutlets being breaded on the spot before being fried and placed in the hoagie roll with any trimmings and cheese you may want. They also do awesome Philly cheesesteaks, hot sausages, hot dogs, and you name the breakfast sandwich and he can probably make it. They also have the sides like fries or onion rings. Or maybe oatmeal or grits. The homemade lemonade is the bomb. Bubby's is so much better than any Wawa. The place is super small and there's no tables...just enough room for about six to wait standing inside the sliding glass door if it's cold and windy or rainy. You have to be patient as lines sometimes get long, but moves quickly. Prices are very reasonable. CASH ONLY! Boy, do I miss Bubby's. I wish he opened up near me! That homemade chicken cutlet hoagie was superb. Yum!“
“I took my son here on a Wednesday and they had live music outside. The staff came right over to us and got us started with drinks while we reviewed the menu. We order s few different things and everything was great. While we ate the staff came over to us plenty of times to make sure we did not need anything else. I highly recommend this place for a great meal and service. It is not in my neighborhood, but I will gladly make the drive to go there again. Plus, its next to an ice cream stand!!! For some reason my pictures will not post, but we got fried pickles, mozz sticks (best I ever had), cheese fries, panzerotti, and a cobb salad which was huge!!!“
“The pizza here is amazing! Thin-crust style that gets better with every bite. What's even better are their carryout deals. You can get a small cheese for only $7! It's a 5 minute walk from Temple University campus and they are open until midnight. You won't find a pizza better deal than Lil' Trents in Philly! The employees are awesome as well and will sometimes give ya free slices!Their desserts look great as well. This is the only place I will order pizza from now on.“
“Ok I can't say enough about this location. Best Philly you will ever eat, period! A wiz all the way is what you want to get, trust me it should be a wonder of the world. The locations area can be sketchy and parking is at a minimum but if you're in Philly and don't go here you missed the best part of your trip. They have drinks, fries, pickles and peppers and a large menu of things that will blow your mind. I travel a lot from coast to coast and I have never given a review like this for any other restaurant.EAT HERE OR YOU WILL REGRET THAT YOU DIDN'T.Parking: You gotta park under bridge so not a lot of room but trust me you want to eat here.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“One of my favorite spots in the city to grab a quick cheesesteak. It's not the best cheesesteak in the city, but quick service, and delicious food. They also offer gluten free buns for those with dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: They have a gluten free bun option“
“This was the highest rated cheesesteak joint near my hotel and I can't say that I was disappointed! The shop is a hole in the wall and it might not look like the best place for cheesesteaks since they've got pizzas by the slice waiting at the counter. After my first bite, I was impressed! The steak was juicy, the "cheese whiz" (melted nacho cheese) gave the sandwich a touch more moisture, and the bun was fresh, soft and chewy. The fries were a good addition that made it a huge and filling meal!“
“Just recently got a 4 inch hoagie and it was the absolute best hoagie I have had in a long time. I let it sit in fridge overnight and it still tastes very fresh like it was just made. The roll is hard enough, the meat was plentiful and the whole bite was perfect. You also can't go wrong with the mac and cheese wedges!!!“
“Delicious breakfast, affordable, and the chefs/staff are all wonderful. Love the breakfast platter, but the breakfast sandwiches are also fantastic. Also the cheesesteak on a seeded roll is really one of the best in Philly and the cutlet hoagies are so good. Cozy and comforting, it’s just a great place.Vegetarian options: Lots of great veggie breakfast options and a few lunch hoagie options for vegetarians, too! Plus homemade soups.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families here, has options that almost all kids will be open to!“
“The food is great. I take off one star because the only thing I am not happy about is the new 3% surcharge for using credit cards. It wasn’t there before but is continuing to be a weird trend for businesses. I am sure speaking on behalf of others as well. This looks we as customers are covering your operating costs.“
“Today my best friend and I had finished a workout and wanted a salad , I googled a place nearby that would have them and this place stood out based off the website and reviews I could tell they had good and also affordable options for lunch. We both got a toss grilled chicken salad , and it was so good ! Just what we needed after our hard work at the gym . We got the special which was a salad . A side of garlic bread and a drink. I’ll definitely be back in the future“
“Best food in the area hands down ! Eat here roughly 3 times a week. Chris and his staff make your experience absolutely amazing. Cost is a little higher then other area shops, but the quality of ingredients used and the finished products blow away any other sammich shop for miles. Never had anything i didnt enjoy. The one time i had an issue ( ordered bacon cheeseburger and didnt get bacon) they compd my next sandwich even tho i had eaten and fully enjoyed what was wrong. Highly recommend giving arts a try !“
“When working in Philly, I always take out of town clients or coworkers here. Food is top quality, staff friendly and great drink selection when time permits. Food portions not skimpy like other famous places in city, you get a proper sandwich. Go up stairs for extra seating too.“
“Great place we stumbled on while going to a concert nearby. Food was amazing! We got the chicken cheesesteak on salad and Buffalo chicken cheesesteak on nachos. Chicken was cooked perfectly. Great service too. The only issue is the place is not close to home!“
“If I was able to give this place 10 stars, I would of. If you are in Philadelphia and want a juicy and tasty cheesesteak or eggplant parm hero, this is the place !!!!!! So good. The food is amazing !!! Recommend 100%. Best cheesesteak in Philly? YES !!!!!!!!“
“Best Buffalo chicken cheesesteak I’ve ever had. The bread is fresh, the cheese and sauce is just right. Best of all the chicken steaks aren’t over cooked, which is a point many cheesesteak places overlook, because yes you CAN overlook a cheesesteak and they get it right every time.“
“Growing up this was like a block walk from my Grammy house and she always took us here. Now that im back living in the camden area again I get to come here on the regular. Their breakfast is amazing and they got some of the best steaks in the area.“
“Atmosphere: decent enough for what they are. What they are is a place to order and take it home I think. With only 3 2-seat tables, they're not meant to be an eat in place.Service: again, decent enough but not really customer oriented. Our order was taken, we sat down and were then brought our food bagged up and in to go containers. Had to ask for forks for the fries. That could be chalked up to the expectation that all orders are assumed to be take out though and there's nothing wrong with that except they should've asked if we were eating there.Food: the ribeye steaks are good and what a cheese steak should be. If I got a plain cheese steak with that being my only expectation, I think I would've been happy with it. I got the Philly dill (or whatever it is named). What I imagined was a cheese steak with chopped up pickles incorporated when the steak was ready to bun and whiz mixed thoroughly through. What I got was a cheese steak with a drizzle of whiz and 6 pickle slices on top. That's fine and all if that's what they're going for, but each bite was different which didn't work for me. One would be just steak and cheese, one steak with pickle and cheese, one just steak, and so on.“
“Awesome location. Great people and delicious meal. Tim is a fantastic guy. Among my favorite places to eat is The Stadium Grille. Every single one of the staff is friendly, polite, and quick to respond with an explanation or a joke. If you are nearby the stadiums, I highly recommend stopping in.“
“Made a pit stop at this Deptford Mall food court for a nice cheesesteak dinner. I was really in the mood for cheesesteak and this spot did not disappoint. The menu was pretty easy to understand and the service was fast and polite. The seating is ample and was not too noisy so my friends and I were able to sit down and talk very comfortably.“
“The pizza was delicious me and my lady ate there while I was waiting for my son @TJcuts to cut my hair who works At the barber shop next to this pizzaria there hospitality is outstanding and they're very curtious ten minutes later I sent her to get me another water and they have her a free water just being curtious very good people I highly recommend this place good food“
“Quick delivery ..friendly customer service food always hot..wheni went there for a pick up store very clean and counter girl polite and friendly.. my overall experience was good would definitely recommend this pizza shop to everyone 5 stars ?“
“I’ve searched for the best Philly Cheesesteak restaurant in Philly and this is it!! I like the Chicken Philly and it is all chicken breast and not greasy, the best ingredients and staff is excellent! My friend got the traditional Philly and agreed it was the best!“
“Open later than most pizzerias in area. Delivery was fast and on time. Pizza came hot and fresh. White pizza with broccoli and tomatoes was delicious. My husband loved the Pepperoni pizza. Tasted even better the next day.Vegetarian options: Vegetarian pizza“
“Sal’s has been my GoTo for solid pizza and sandwiches for as long as I can remember. I’m 35 and remember the days where my buddies and I would pile in for Monday All you can eat specials! I even remember sals before the fire years ago! While I normally order a plain pie or maybe pepperoni now and then, for some reason tonight I ordered the Philly Special with the request of chicken instead of beef. This pie was beyond my expectations. I enjoyed it so much. I can’t wait to eat the leftovers tomorrow for lunch! Thank you so much to everyone at Sals for my pie tonight. Thank you for the years of serving the community great quality food at affordable prices.“
“This place was packed when we went on a Saturday night. We were told it would be a 90 minute wait so we went to misconduct bar which was basically next door. Luckily we didn't have to wait 90 mins and it was only like a 30 minute wait we had. This place is black owned and is known for their interesting cheesesteaks. They have an oxtail and jerk chicken on the menu. The bathroom had an interesting vibe. There was a sign that said "taste me" but was surrounded by a fake plant wall. The bathroom definately felt like a new age interior decorator decked it out. I ended up getting a jerk chicken with mushrooms. I really loved the cheesesteak. They had cooper sharp cheese which was really good. They cooked the meat, peppers, and onions perfectly. The meat was marinated perfectly as well. The fries that my friends and I split were pretty tasty as well. I don't really like fries but these were amazing. They had cheese on them that just melted in your mouth. The drinks at this place were pretty strong as well. It was interesting that they put a cute light in it. The only thing I didn't like about this place was how loud the music was. It was a couple decibels louder than I would have liked it. Regardless this place had amazing cheesesteaks and that's all that matters!“
“Bought Wings, and a pizza (specifically a white pizza.) The wings were very good and meaty, the sauce was hot without being overbearing. The wings it should be noted were naked wings. We didn't specify for naked or regular. The pizza was good, and the garlic sauce they put on was excellent. The crust has a nice flavor and it's not too greasy. The only knock I have was the cheese. It's not as stretchy or as tasty as you would expect. That's not to say it was bad just not as good as other shops in the area. This was our first time in.Regardless I'm going back for more!It is under new management, and they have a new expanded menu.“
“Got the bulgogi specialty hoagie--it was excellent! One note--there are no places to sit or stand to eat (old photos show tables but that is not the case anymore)--though there is a park with picnic benches about a block away (Liberty Grounds I think)“
“Tony Bella is been my family’s favorite. We care that same guy is been makeing my pizzas baked goods. There is new addition den he is Italian real deal cook I love that penne al vodka sauce and broccoli and chicken pastas it the best. I recommend everyone who I know. Love the energy and love for the food and community. Best of luck ?“
“On my Tri-monthly Philadelphia trip to see my wife's Dr, we hit up a cheesesteak place. This time, it was Ishkabibbles. Long story short, the cheesesteaks are worth it. Just the right amount of meat and cheese for a great price. Give them a try.“
“This place has gotten recent buzz on social media so I decided to give it a try. I have made several attempts before , but they are closed on Sunday. I ordered the Nona pizza and the Sunday morning meatball sandwich. The place itself was buzzing with business, a very small interior with about 10 tables and five were filled with patrons. There were a few people in line for pickup including myself, and a few delivery drivers were zipping in and out. The pizza itself looked amazing, and the sandwich looked pretty good also. The pizza was not as thick as a traditional Sicilian , but not as thin as other Nona's that I have had, it was topped with fresh basil, and it had really good flavor. The meatball sandwich was something I had never seen on a menu before. Fried meatballs (no sauce) fried onion, sharp provolone and chopped long hots on a seeded Italian roll. The meatballs were crumbled up, so it looked less appealing then if they were left whole, but it made it easier to eat. The long hots weren't too spicy, and it had that flavor that I was looking for. I really enjoyed it! I would say overall this place was pretty decent and there are so many other things that I will come back to taste.“
“Best vegetarian cheesesteak ever! Got the Cajun portabella with onions, peppers and cheese. Phenomenal!!!Vegetarian options: The portabella section can be done with only mushrooms, no meat! Cook cleaned the grill and used separate utensils to maintain a vegetarian area, lovely!!!“
