“We were driving from Baltimore to Richmond and specifically stopped to check out Honey Pig's new location. Wow what a great restaurant! Smells amazing when you walk in the door and the servers are beyond professional, friendly, and helpful. We ordered the bibimbap because we weren't quite hungry enough for AYCE. The BBQ at the table around us looked great though and next time would have planned to be hungrier for AYCE. Great food with good size portions. Wish we lived closer so we could go again and again but we will look forward to the next time we are nearby!“

I arrived a bit late at night so the meat had been cooked earlier, but it was still incredibly soft and literally came right off the bone. The taste was amazing and the texture was perfect. The quality alone made me give it a full five stars. I keep thinking if I went earlier in the day it would have been even fresher. The portions were huge and the whole meal was very satisfying. I was expecting a place where you order at the counter and that is the end of the interaction with staff, but they came to our table multiple times and made sure we had everything we needed. The pork is a salty barbecued pork, and the king of kings is also a little salty. Others I ordered include beef, mutton, gluten, and chicken hearts, which were both good! I love charcoal grilling + fresh grilling. Remember to bring cash!“

The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. The brisket was the standout: tender, properly smoked, and sliced thick enough to hold its structure without drying out. It had a deep, smoky flavor without being overpowered by sauce. The smoked turkey was equally impressive—juicy, well-seasoned, and a great lighter counterpoint to the brisket.

On the sides, the mac & cheese was rich and comforting with a solid balance of creaminess and bite, while the baked beans had good depth—slightly sweet, slightly savory, and clearly simmered with care rather than treated as an afterthought.

“I grew up in Elmhurst and getting skewers at this neighborhood staple as a snack was always a treat I looked forward to. Now, I’m happy that we can buy as many skewers as we dare (before we pass the threshold of waking up with a sore throat the next morning).This Chinese BBQ skewer cart is a no-frills, mom and pop food stand on the corner of Whitney Ave & Broadway by the LIRR tracks. Most of their skewers cost between $2-$3; they’re perfect for a late night eats adventure! The seasoning the sweet Chinese couple uses has just the right amount of cumin, heat, and spice. We sat at one of their 3 tables this past Monday evening and saw a steady stream of customers lining up for their grilled skewers. “This is hands down the best charcoal-style Chinese BBQ skewer spot in the U.S.! We’ve been multiple times and it never disappoints. The meats are always fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked, and the service is consistently excellent.

Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s a small inconvenience for such an amazing dining experience—it doesn’t affect my five-star rating at all. Truly a hidden gem. Highly recommend!“

The tasting menu was great value and I appreciated that the servers helped to cook, though they weren’t the most attentive. (For instance, we had to ask for a bib as well as refills for water and lettuce.) Meanwhile, the pork was great - especially the dry aged versions - as were the egg soufflé and kimchi soup. Also, special mention to having wasabi on the plate as a dipping option! Would definitely stop in again.“

“I am great fan of this place. My family and I order food from here when we feel like having some pull pork, briskets or ribs. I normally order the ribs and chicken combo which comes with two sides. The ribs are flavorful. I also like their pull pork sandwich .I occasionally order their beef chili. The owner Bruno and staff Santos and Carlos are very friendly and nice! I will definitely recommend this place if you crave for some barbeque and you are in the Edgewater area.“

“Came with my boyfriend whos been here multiple times and said it was delicious, and he wasn’t wrong. We got chicken, squid, chinese sausage, ricecake, shrimp, and beef skewers that were ALL amazing. HIGHLY recommend the spicy powder on any skewer you order. I have low tolerance for spice, but it was just a small kick for a couple seconds. I will be coming here way more often, I found my favorite food spot for late night snacks.“

I’ve tried several dishes here: Uni Buckwheat Noodles, Old-Fashioned Fried Chicken, Clam sujebi (수제비) , Spicy Seafood Stew, Beef Tartare, and Sweet Potato Fries. The Uni Buckwheat Noodles taste luxurious—perfect if you want a refreshing, pasta-like dish. The Old-Fashioned Fried Chicken takes a little time to cook, but it’s totally worth the wait—they even cut it for you! The Handmade Dumpling Soup is so 얼큰 and flavorful you might find yourself reaching for a whole bottle of soju, and their soups always come in very generous portions. The Spicy Seafood Stew is huge and packed with fresh seafood—it’s definitely worth the price. Sweet potatoe fries and beef tartare is a good option for side dishes. We got a service I think the name was seafood avocado but that was def would be a great side dish when drinking wine.
The service is excellent too. I dropped my fork once, and someone immediately brought me a new one—attentive service like that really makes a difference.
The vibe of the restaurant strikes a perfect balance between elegance and casual comfort. It’s great for a casual date, a team outing, or just a relaxed night out.
I will definitely be coming back and would highly recommend Anytime Kitchen to my friends. This place is a hidden gem that hits all the right notes!
