“Great time with the family. While waiting for our party to arrive we sat at the bar with the bartender Ozzi. He was cool and friendly. Most definitely was on point with flavor in our drinks!Our Chef Archi had a great sense of humor made us all laugh. The server Mia was very attentive and sweet.However, I didn't like how we felt very rushed with the each course!! I wasn’t even half way through my soup when the salad came out and shortly afterward the main course.Only recommendation to the restaurant….If you’re going to have a 5 course meal it should be timed a lot better!! Guest shouldn’t feel so rushed.“

“I had the honor privilege and luck of being the very first customer to be served at Kanpachi Sushi during their grand opening on 4/29/2022. The very first think I noticed was how friendly and inviting the staff is, they make you feel welcome the second that you step into their establishment. The second thing I noticed was the how the new renovation which makes you want to come in and have a seat at a table or sit at the sushi bar to watch the sushi master construct your order before your eyes. I am impressed with the addition of this new business to Amboy Ave. The food is fresh, top-quality ingredients prepared by a world class chief and sushi master. I had lunch there yesterday and today. Oh, and did I mention that Kanpachi is a BYOB establishment? Sushi steak and Hibachi lovers, do yourself a favor and get over there. I am making this my go to spot for lunch or dinner, I give Kanpachi 5 stars. Thank you for picking Amboy Ave to open your sushi house.“

“Highly disappointed went in with a pert of 5 to celebrate a party which was explained. While having our starters waitress informs us they if we don’t mind them adding 2 of their customers to our table so that the same chef will cook for us together.The hibachi grill part only had another party with us being the second & all other tables were empty. We told her we don’t feel comfortable with that and reminded her we are here for a party. So she comes back telling us her manager said it will have to be that way and we left. I can’t be believe that lost 5 customers over 2 and they even had the nerve to tell us to move over for them to add 2 people we didn’t know to our table. If the tables were all full we would have understood why but the whole place was empty. I would never recommend this place to anyone“

“Visited for lunch and just as good as I remembered. Had to get the Spring Breeze roll - love this combination and have never seen it anywhere else. The lunch box is a great deal too at around 14 bucks. The also have a lunch special where you can pick 2-3 regular rolls with soup and salad. We were able to find street parking out front but if you can't remember there is a public lot nearby.“

I've had sushi from a lot of other AYCE, all you can eat, sushi places and I think this one is the best in terms of quality and variety. It's about $30 per person.The fish here tastes fresh and NOT watered down like other places I've been to. The miso soup always tastes good and fresh, it doesn't taste artificial and sweet like other places.The special rolls are a little questionable, there are a lot of special rolls that aren't my type and extremely filling but I like the sashimi and regular rolls. I love the salmon from here, so I always get salmon sashimi and Alaska rolls.They also have other foods available in their AYCE like shumai, sesame chicken, lo mein, and calamari, takoyaki, etc. Most of their non-sushi items are good too.ONE THING TO NOTE, if you come here with a party of 5 or more, you will be charged a 15% service fee. Coming here with 4 people or less is worth it when they all eat their money's worth.“

You can’t find that anywhere else in NYC. The owners bring Israeli flair and brotherhood to the environment. The store is super clean, bright, and they have the most colorful and beautiful produce section. Everything is tasty and freshly stacked because there is so much turnover. The prime meat is my favorite part. Island Kosher is reminiscent of Breadberry but slightly less expensive and a smaller mom and pop version of it. The hours are also so convenient. Driving to Brooklyn for kosher markets was a normal regular thing. Now I can just drive up the block whenever I need to get what I want. This store is 5 stars, may it be blessed to stay open for the long run!“
