“Great restaurant - food is great, service is attentive. Restaurant policy not to allow you to have bread before you order is not good for people who need food with their drink. Manager (blond woman) was disappointing in her lack of understanding and customer service -very poor.. It is sad we must find another favorite restaurant because we loved it there.“

“Really enjoyed our dinner there, it was a client dinner with 11 people, we had a choice of soup or salad as well as main course, appys and sides were served family style so we got to try a lot of dishes. Everything was excellent especially the lobster pops, seafood tower as fresh as can be. My wifes filet and lobster tail perfect. I had a strip which is not my favorite cut, nor is a filet but it was delicious. Sides great, especially the truffle mac n cheese. Deserts were great as was service. Will definitely come back“

“I ordered for dinner the ribeye steak and onion rings. Cooked medium, the steak was flavorful; I did not need any sauce at all. The place was clean and the staff attentive (it was a Wednesday night).The bill, surprisingly, did not include gratuity or tip. You pay either by card (small charge additional) or cash. The "downsides" are: no parking lot for diners as you park on the sides of the Avenue. There is also no alcohol (wine, beer or cocktails) served. I will bring my family here and recommend to friends.“

“We visited this spot specifically for the pastrami, and it did not disappoint. It has a milder flavor compared to Katz's, which I actually prefer since it allowed me to finish the whole sandwich in one go. Katz's meat is so intensely flavorful that I usually need to take a break and cleanse my palate before I can finish later. This place is a fantastic alternative if you're in Jersey. The prices are reasonable, and the 8 oz option is perfect for satisfying your craving without breaking the bank. The Knish and macaroni salad were delicious as well. They give you delicious pickles. “Our first time as we are visiting from out of town. Our server Cesar was so wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. “Great Food, Great Service Great Atmosphere. So we were bummed when we saw they closed the original location because how much we loved the place. We were relieved when they announced they were opening up in a much more appropriate and highly upgraded venue. This was perfect timing for us to celebrate our 9 year anniversary here. Upon arriving the inside captures the comfort and style of the Livingston location and then improves upon it with the beautiful outside seating area. Now onto the food which is just as good if not better than the original location im glad to see the quality has remained consistent. My steak was cooked to perfection and my wifes pasta dish was packed with quality flavor. The drink menu was definitely brought to the next level as well everything seemed like it was fine tuned and everything we tried was on point and had its own unique delicious flavor profile. Andy behind the bar was very knowledgeable and an absolute pleasure to talk to about the different cocktails. For dessert we shared the tiramisu which was great it wasn't youre traditional kind but we loved the spin they put on it with the cake and ice-cream. Lastly for service Jonathan took amazing care of us and made our special day very memorable along with the rest of the staff. Everyone that came by the table was professional and had a smile on their face. They all seemed happy and took pride in their work which was nice to see. But what is compelling me to post this was truly the regarding the service I received here. It brought me to tears!!! Patricio and Dylan were the most considerate, kind, attentive and understanding waiters I have ever met in my entire life. After dining in the tri-state area my whole life, exploring cities like Chicago and LA through food, I’ve been conditioned and numb to lackluster waitstaff and typically take the approach of trying just to avoid them spitting in my food, but Patricio and Dylan completely floored me in their attention to detail, knowledge, and service that showed me exactly what good waiters could be. Living with GI issues and intolerances, I consistently feel like an inconvenience at restaurants and that the entire responsibility of making sure I don’t fall ill after dining is based on how I modify the menu and pick around my plate. EXCEPT here at Rails with Patricio and Dylan, I had the first care-free dining experience in my life, their thoughtfulness allowed me to be truly present with my family, enjoy the wonderful food being served, and just live in the moment, which is so important to me. Dylan was explicit in the detail of every dish and always helped me navigate what was coming around and being served. Now, back to the tears, when I subtly mentioned in passing to Patricio that I couldn’t eat dairy and couldn’t partake in the birthday cake, he brought me a delicious sorbet flight, unprompted, just so that I could feel a part of the festivities.
