“Recently went and although the food and waiter staff were great, we were expecting what we seen on here. There was no performances. An empty space. Apparently there's a 2 hr gap between brunch and dinner. The booking site allowed for a 4pm reservation. When we arrived we were accommodated but looked at funny. We found out that brunch had ended at 3pm. I was really hoping for the full experience I seen here and paid alot and didn't get it.“

“This place makes such good food! I went all the way from Jersey City to get a plate of Frituras... which consisted of Pork Chops, Fried Chicken, Salami, and fried Plantains and it did not disappoint! The place was clean and the workers were nice. I definitely do recommend this place to anyone looking for great 🇩🇴 food. They offer lots of different types of Dominican dishes!“

“We had chiccharones and goat stew. My Dominican friend said it was the best chicchones she ever ate. Another friend said the goat stew was excellent. I really recommend this place for flavorful food. The owner is so nice and made sure everything was good for us.“

“My waiter today name was Victor and he was amazing. He was attentive and considerate. My husband and I were just celebrating our last date night before the new year and he made sure to make it inexperienced. We would never forget. We will definitely be back and I hope next time I’m in Victor section again.“

“Today was our 4th time visiting Samba. The food is consistently great! the service is top-notch. They have a very friendly staff. The atmosphere is old-school Brazilian and very comfortable. I highly recommend Samba, especially if you like gluten-free cuisine.“

“The decor at this morsel of Costa Rican culture is aesthetically pleasing and if you’re in the area, this is one of the better Tico spots. We watched Costa Rica beat Paraguay in a Copa America game while eating pupusas, un Casado and Tacos Ticos and totally hit the spot. Especially since they served some salsa Lizano on the side.“

“Really hyped, and with a lot of reviews, the expectations were high.
What was good?
When for starters the chicken was indeed quite good. But in the context of other Peruvian chicken I’ve had in the past, it was not extraordinary. Yes the skin was crispy and the meat was juicy. The arroz chaufa hit all the savory notes that I was looking for too. The sangria didn’t disappoint either.
What was bad?
Overall, not too much other than the sporadic and slightly chaotic service. Not necessarily any marks against Pio Pio for this, I think it was just a busy night.
The main issue I had was the frozen chicken used in the arroz chaufa. In a restaurant that is known for its chicken, you wouldn’t think they would cheap out on it at any point. But, this was simply not the case. It was dry, chewy, and clearly not as fresh as their rotisserie chicken.
It didn’t scare me off entirely from going back, but I was disappointed to say the least. Most people have extremely low bars for chicken as a meat they would spend money on at a restaurant. Don’t give people a reason to complain I just don’t get it. Looking back on it, I would have said something or sent the dish back, not because I’m an asshole, but because I know they can do better.“

“I was looking for a specific type of soup, called a lot of the Spanish restaurants no one made it. Found this restaurant and from the first phone call they are truly amazing. They were very attentive to what I wanted. Quick and efficient. Another time I went to the place to place my order, even better the young lady was super sweet and the man there was so attentive to my order. Will definitely keep on ordering. Even the empanadas were made fresh. Small restaurant but excellent customer service! I ordered asopao de camarones!“

“I called this morning at 6am to inquire how long it would take them to make 3 dozen empanadas, for a work event, they said ten mi utes! They saved my day. The empanadas were a hit at work! They were delicious! I bought chicken, beef and cheese! They’re affordable too! Gracias! 🙏🏽 I’ll be buying from here again.“

“Best food in the neighborhood. Been coming here for 4 years and have yet to be disappointed. You literally cannot go wrong, but my favorites are the oxtail, the pernil, and the stewed chicken. Don’t forgot to add either yellow rice or rice with black beans and some extra pinto beans to top it off.“

“Yummy yummy.Great for when you forget to take the meal your wife cook for you to work.They have pineapples watermelons and other fruits on the go perfect for when you're just done with the gym.They also do catering which is on point plenty to choose from and they'll make whatever you want.I definitely recommend this place it's great for people like me that don't have time to make a meal so instead of eating boring McDonald's and all that other garbage around that area stop by check them out and if you like home cook meals then this is the spot. You're in and out within 10 minutes tops. You tried the rest now try the best. Always love to support small businesses especially that put time and energy into their meals and don't do small portions like most places you will get a lot of meat for your buck. I'd like to let you people know that I honestly enjoyed the food you guys cooked and always recommend them to my friends I am usually in Lodi so I take a drive down to Hackensack just so I can get the delicious meals that they prepare. I know I may be boring but my favorite one is chicken franchise "chicken with lemon" ?It is on point and I feel like I could eat that 100 times a day LOL. “I found this place by a simple google search! Well it’s a gem! Everything was delicious! We had for an appetizer the empanada sampler and wow!!!! My husband had the skirt steak tacos which were delicious and seasoned to perfection! I had the city island basket and it may have been the best fried fish I’ve ever had! “We ordered carnita tacos and the presentation was very good, although the meat was a little too salty, you could eat it, the atmosphere is like a bar where you can go to talk with friends but it is also familiar. In conclusion it is nothing wow but it is not the worst either so you can pass on the customer service is good.“

“My husband and I live right down the street and always pass this place when driving home. We decided this morning to pop in. I love that's it's most likely family owned as we own a family owned business also. We love to give our business to small local businesses. We ordered the chicken and rice and beans and it was well seasoned and cooked. Very tasty. We will definitely be back to try another item off the menu.“
