“Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“As soon as my sister and i walked in, we sat down, and i took a look around and saw how beautiful the interior was. The waiter came and took our order and maybe 20-30 after the food arrived. I ordered the truffle polenta while my sister ordered a burger. The food was really good. After we got dessert. We both got the tiramisu. It was great. The total was about $100 dollars, including the tip. The restaurant is full during dinner, so i would recommend reserving a table.“

“We went to Rumi for a birthday lunch the food, smoothies and desserts were delicious. Our kids who typically eat butter pasta loved everything that was served. We also didn’t mind that they tasted all the desserts since they were just right and not extra sugary! Beyond the yummy food, the family friendly atmosphere put everything over the top. Our son was walking table to table and one of the owners came and picked my son up and walked around with him so we could enjoy our coffee ! My wife ordered pita chips and falafel on the side and both were made fresh when we ordered. The pita chips were thick and super crispy. The falafel was incredibly moist too. Highly recommend!“

“This restaurant has the most delicious fresh food. We had the grilled octopus, Branzino with salad - and zucchini tarator. The octopus was like butter, branzino moist and full of flavor and the Tarator was a delicious cool yogurt, garlic and shredded zucchini dip. The service was so attentive and friendly. And, while we were there past closing, they still took great care of us.“

“Amazing experience hats off to Jason and his team they were above and beyond for me and my family party of 14. We were accommodating to the large party which included toddlers and high chairs. As for the food what can I say we ordered a lot of different items and everything was on point with flavor and temperature. Mixed platters for the family is ideal served most of us and we added few additional plates. I ordered the Mint Lemonade and the Baklava and they were both delicious. I truly recommend everyone to pay a visit !

“We went to Samdan Mediterranean Restaurant on our last day in New York. We went with 2 kiddos under 10 and ordered the chicken nuggets for them. For the adults, we ordered falafel, tabouli and hummus for an appetizer, and both were very good, had lots of flavor though the portions were smaller than we expected and we needed to ask for the Nan bread.

We followed up with the sultan platter for the table, and it came with rice, we also ordered a bruschetta salad. The portion for the platter was more than enough for 4 adults, and it had an assortment of meats, including lamb, chicken. We accompanied the meal with a bottle of red wine and found the pricing and portion sizes to be good for our group.

Overall, great atmosphere and place to have a nice dinner out for a group of adults.“
