“Best burgers in NJ! I don’t normally do these kinds of posts, but here goes: I don’t know who rates burgers in New Jersey…but…John’s and the Genzo’s new favorite place is the Bridgewater Diner! This is direct from their menu: ‘Our gourmet burgers are made from the most exquisite blend of 100% grass-fed organic short rib, brisket, sirloin & filet mignon tips basted in homegrown jersey farm butter cooked over an open flame on a buttery, fluffy sweet milk brioche bun made fresh daily for our special burgers & sesame bun for our classic burgers. Served with cole slaw & pickle, upon request.’ When the bill was paid, they questioned where they get this meat from and they were told it’s from ‘a guy from Long Island’. Highly recommend this place gets checked out and it gets rated for the best burger in the state!“

Food and beverage quality is very good. Had an excellent western omelette with nice hash browns and nice multigrain toast. Coffee was good.

“I hesitated to come here because I saw negative reviews somewhere about the food, but I’m happy that I did because it was delicious. The people were really nice, the food was great (huge portions), and it was clean. I will absolutely come here again and again.

“We arrived around 5:00 PM on a Thursday. We were the only customers so there was parking on the street and plenty of parking in the back lot. Looking from the outside, this diner has a very nostalgic feel to it.The cook greeted us when we walked in and took our orders immediately. We each ordered the lunch special that consisted of 2 Texas weiners (with everything on it), fries, and a can of soda at a decent price of $12. The food was ready in about 5 minutes and the texas weiners were great! The atmosphere was quiet during the time we went, making it slightly awkward while we were eating, but the experience was great nonetheless.We will definitely come here again!“

“An institution — one of the last true 24hr diners in NJ post-covid. Large extensive menu all made incredibly well. Staff has been part of the central Jersey family for decades now and I love saying hi to familiar faces across their multiple diners.
Burgers and breakfast are by far the stars on their menu. Can never go wrong ordering anything from there no matter what time of the day you stumble in. Also, get their vodka disco fries!“

“Great Food and great service, Sue and Mariolla are the best. My co-worker and I go there at least once a week whether in person or ordering online Sue makes it happen. Sue knows all of our orders and she takes care of us making sure I food comes out perfect and hot. Sue is kind, helpful and friendly so we love coming there to see her and the food.“

“My copilot and I were in the area for some training and decided to stop here on a whim one night. We are so happy that we did! What we found was an absolute gem of a diner! The menu is vast, breakfast served all day, good prices, and really amazing staff (Julia is astonishing!) We ended up eating at least one meal here, with few exceptions, every day while we were in town (2 1/2 weeks!) We trained almost everything on the menu at least once and can say that the Chicken Marsala, pancakes, and pot roast were my favorite. Also, be sure to save room for dessert because the cheesecake is easily in my top three ever! Don't hesitate to stop here anytime! You won't regret it!“
