“Lots of pizza places to choose from in Long Valley, but this is our go-to. Love their pizza! And staff so friendly. For the 3rd year in a row, they let the middle school play have their cast party there. The kids run around on the grass and pizza and drink soda. Pizza has long been consumed, but they let us stay and celebrate and eat cake long after they have closed. Very supportive of kids and the community. I'm happy to recommend them!“

“Decent place with a bar and dining area. Authentic Italian food and ambiance. The deep dish pizza was good but our sea food was not fresh. The service was above and beyond. 12" deep dish is enough for 4 people. It is a budget friendly place and plenty of parking available.“

“Tried a new gluten-free place tonight and I don't feel sick! They have a nice gluten-free menu and take caution with food, but you must ask the server for it. Pasta Grill in Mansfield! Italian nachos and Pollo Pesto (pesto, chicken, artichoke hearts, and cheese on a cauliflower crust) pizza was awesome! We both have leftovers and will definitely return.“

“Carmine's is our go to place whenever we crave Italian or a cheesesteak. Husband and I were there yesterday for late lunch. Excellent pasta fagioli soup, huge slices of pizza, and overstuffed, cheesesteak. Great service and reasonable prices. We were informed there is an extra charge if you're not paying cash. This is becoming a common practice and we were informed of it. Server was excellent and made us feel welcome. I was asked if I knew of any pizza parlors served gluten free and of course I recommended Carmine's.“

“I'm in complete awe with how amazing La Cocina de Maria turned out to be. Hybrid of Hondorian & Mexican food. I ordered a Hondorian Tamal and the dough was steamed to perfection! Never had a Pupusa before, and after trying the Queso & Chicharrón I will definitely be trying the other Pupusa's they offer here. The Hondorian tortillas are hand made per order too & it shows the quality! The Mexican music played here is 10/10 love it all. The friendly staff really explains everything well, and with a smile! I'll definitely be back and bring some friends!“

“By far the best pizza I’ve ever had! The crust is not dry like most places. They have ruined pizza for me anywhere else!!“

“Definitely a hidden gem. Came in on a whim because I saw good reviews and was on the hunt for a good slice to go. There were several pizza options in the display and ready to order which I love about a pizza spot. I ordered a Sicilian sausage/red pepper, pepperoni hot honey and a white slice. I would have stayed to eat at one of the few small tables but the baby was in the car. The pizza looked so amazing I ate some right in the parking lot it did not disappoint. The crust on the Sicilians was perfect and flavor was delicious. White pie was also simple and perfect. Can’t wait to try the cheese!

It was great to meet and interact directly with the owner, Paul. He explained how he bought the business from his parents and has been in his family for decades with roots in Brooklyn and Italy. He even threw in a free cheese slice because he knew I was a new customer! Nice guy and love to see the passion for a small family business. In my short time there, Monday afternoon, several people came in to order to sit and for takeout which said to me they have a good customer base which is a good sign.

Moving to Roxbury from Bergen County a few years ago we still haven’t quite settled on our favorite pizza spot yet. I’d say this is in the running for our favorites and we will be back!!

“We order from Sonny’s more than we would like to admit. Over the weekend, I last minute ordered a grilled chicken salad to go. It was a busy day, and they forgot the chicken. We called and were ready to just drive back and go grab it. They immediately said they were giving it to their delivery driver to add to his drop off. They didn’t have to do that, and we really appreciated it- they definitely did right by us. Also, have to recommend the pierogi pizza and chicken Marsala pizza!“
