“I went here for a birthday party. The food was pretty good. The only problem I had was I thought it was an open bar but there was a mix up. It was only the first round of drinks that were covered. The crab chowder was great. The crab cakes were okay. The key lime pie was great. I will come back again.“

“This was a basic search and find and we lucked up big time. The atmosphere was lovely. The food was great, from drinks to dessert. Diverse menu options. We each had 3 courses. Kobe slider and crab cocktail Appetizers were yummy. We also had lamb, Ahi Tuna, and beef rib dinner, and all were presented well, flavorful and hot. Desserts were creme brulee, lemon donuts balls, and chocolate mousse. Mixed drinks were not drowned in syrup, wine paired well with meal. Can't say enough. I definitely recommend it. We lucked up to get a table without a reservation so make sure you plan ahead if you can.Kid-friendliness: Not little kid friendly, date night for sure.“

“Came here this weekend. I think this really should be a 3.5, but I'm rounding up.Chef Vola's suffers from one thing: being way over hyped. We went with friends so I didn't deal with the reservation part: I can't speak to that. But it's hard to get in to which feeds into the hype of best Italian in AC. I don't agree.Atmosphere is dark and moody in a good way. Except the bathroom, which is legitimately in their kitchen. That was incredibly off-putting.My biggest issue here is the food and the price. I got Milanese, arguably one of the cheapest entrees on the menu. It was humongous, true, for nearly 35 dollars but nothing I'd rave about after leaving. I didn't eat almost half of it and wasn't mad about it. A side of broccoli rabe, while delicious, was $14. My husband got a good, but again not marvelous, crab cake and shrimp for almost $60. Everything is ala carte and the plates of pasta who came with our friends meals looked messy. Everything looked over sauced.Overall, our large table came out to nearly $1,000, which doesn't include alcohol (it's byo): that cost I think you NEED to be a meal I'd rave about again and again: and honestly I just won't.“

“In my humble opinion, I must state that my total experience at this “Exceptional Restaurant “ was 10 STARS! The staff greeted when I arrived with a smile and I must admit that the CRAP TRAP has a philosophy of making sure you will have an individual who is a Professional who will advise you and answer any questions about their “SUPERIOR” menu! Our waitress never missed a beat when it came to advising me the in her opinion, I should choose their famous Crab Cake that was stuffed with crab and no fillers! One thing that you will observe, their salad was so fresh and the rolls & muffins were homemade & hot! You have several choices of side dishes & I selected the apple sauce that had to be prepared in house, and the frech fries were crispy and also seasoned perfectly! Our table was spotless, and the whole restaurant had a staff who never rushed you, but was always there to refill you water! I have dined in 5 Star Restaurants on my vacations & business trips, and all I must state is for being my 1ST Visit to the CRAP TRAP, I plan to make it a weekly location and a priority on my “Schedule”! I have wanted to dine there before, but I can add there parking lot suggested that there was a long wait, When I entered, I was so impressed by the size of the inside accommodation! I must apologize for my velours review, but I truly feel that this restaurant is a “GEM”“

“Stella is a BYOB gem! Every time we eat there we have nothing but superlatives to say about our dinners. Our meal last night was eggplant parmigiana for me and short ribs for my wife. We ate every bit. Dessert was warm Apple pie with ice cream. Our servers were happy and courteous and the check, as usual, was reasonable. I can recommend Stella without any hesitation.“

“Stopped to pick up some breakfast sandwiches for the ride home. What caught our eye was driving by say their sign "Best Bagels at the Jersey Shore". While I don't know if that's true or not, it was a damn fine breakfast sandwich on a sesame bagel. Only minor nits are we asked for toasted well done and neither bagel was. Also, add Scapple to your breakfast meat selection!“

“We had the best time at brunch here. Our waitress was amazing and gave us lunch menus during bfast time when we asked. It was also our friend's birthday and she had the staff make an announcement on their loud speaker and sang to her and it was so fun and made our day. We enjoyed all of the food that we got too. It'll be a new go-to when I'm in OCNJ.“

“Small local diner with fantastic food. We had breakfast, eggs Benedict for her, eggs, scrapple and hash browns for me and we split a Belgian waffle...More food than we could comfortably stuff down!The waffle was really, really good. Crispy exterior, light, fluffy and creamy center.The Benedict was done to perfection, perfect.The scrapple, I asked for it deep-fried, was perfectly crispy on the outside, eggs over-easy had no running whites...Lots of great photos on the walls! “I was at this place on Mother’s Day this year my first time at Morton’s steakhouse and the food was amazing I had 6oz steak that just melted in my mouth .I’m really not big on ordering steak in restaurants because they even too Tough and over cooked I’m more of a Salmon fan..our waitress recommended so I gave it a try and it was delicious. Also the mac & cheese with the bacon in it which surprised me was very tasty. The only thing was a problem. We had to wait awhile past our reservations time , but it was worth the wait the food was so good I will definitely come back.“

“Large place and perfect for a quick trip off OC if you're not looking for beach/seafood-type places. It's a sports bar/Irish pub with some upscaled traditional dishes. A bit expensive, but you're close to the beach and it is what it is. Great tap and canned beer selection and interesting drinks (if a bit strong, but that shouldn't be a complaint if you're not driving!). Watched Scheffler win the Masters here on 3 or 4 TVs. Service was good, everything brought out on time, drinks refilled, etc. Please, please, skip the Crab Trap and come here. That place needs to go.“

“Great classic breakfast place on the bay. You won't be disappointed in going to this place, just be patience about the line. It moves fast. Breakfast was outstanding, and so was the view off the large patio. Hot cakes were really good, at a reasonable price. My go to place in the morning.“

“It was one of the best vegetable omelets and home fries I have ever had. The omelet had a wonderful mix of vegetables, and the omelet wasn't browned like in some diners. The service was friendly. The cafe is decorated with positive and humorous sayings.“

“This was a great local spot in Atlantic City. Great diner food affords pricing and a lovely server. Everything was good. Very homey feel when eating the food. Makes you feel good. “By far the best pizza in OCNJ. The owner hand makes every single pizza and has been doing it since he worked there as a teenager. The result is a consistently amazing pie or slice. Huge NY style slices, thin, crisp crust with just the right amount of chew, delicious sauce (I usually ask for extra because it's so good), and fresh toppings. Awesome staff to top it all off. A must try in OC.“

“My family and I stopped in on the morning of Sunday May 26th 2024 around 9:30AM and we were served by Martha! Martha was EXTREMELY kind, patient and genuine and even offered some advice for our food! The food was served surprisingly fast and tasted so good that we were in shock. “Iconic vintage home town comfort food feel restaurant is a treat if you are looking for a known hole in the wall restaurant. Coffee is fresh. We ordered the hot roast beef sandwich with gravy on the side and stuffed French toast . These were both excellent recommendations provide by Monica our most personable waitress who who began as a customer herself. We went for lunch on a Tuesday and were seated without a wait. It's evident regulars dine here as most were greeted by name . Highly recommend.“

“It's the best pizza you can get in South Jersey . . . I know that people have their own favorite local pizza place on the boardwalk or so, but (in my personal opinion), those aren't good at all. There's maybe a handful of places in South Jersey that serve (subjectively) good pizza and this is the best of them imo. Their coal fire grill is well maintained and helps create great pizza. “I'm afraid to leave a review because this spot already is so acclaimed. I've been trying to get a reservation for some time and was finally able to get one so here we were. This restaurant is always listed as the best in AC and a top restaurant in the state. I usually worry that places don't live up to the hype. We hear they truly delivered and everything was better than my expectations. If you eat hear you have to do the tableside experience other wise why are you here??? Every dish was fantastic. The tableside mozzarella was a table favorite The Caesars salad was tableside and great. My personal favorite was the Cavatelli. I can't stop raving about it. Was truly the best I have ever had and this is a must get in my book of you go here. The chicken parm was great and so was the halibut We will return I know this review will add to making it more difficult to get in here but it's well deserved Truly one of my favorite places to eat now“

“Amazing food & near spotless dining room.Unlike some Indian restaurants, if you order the sauce mild, it’s actually mild.Tandoori Chicken:It’s fantastic but a little spicy, even if ordered mild (I think the mild part comes into play with the accompanying sauce.)The spice level is about the same as a regular buffalo wing.It’s a bit crispy on the outside and moist on the inside.A half chicken is $17 & the whole is $21(great deal). But only order the whole chicken you are sharing it with someone or going back home or hotel with a refrigerator for the leftovers.The naan is really good, not great.Late spring to early fall the dining room is bit bright from the large bay windows, I like dinner dining rooms to have a little ambiance.I haven’t gone myself to their lunch buffet, but I hear good things.Parking: The restaurant is attached to the Howard Johnson’s hotel.“

The crust though has an odd look to it, it seems it got proofed way too fast or that there were dry spots in many places when they baked it. It tasted good but not great.The Zeppolis though, just regular fries dough with some Nutella drizzled on it and powdered sugar.
