“This restaurant, and it's sister restaurant in Chinatown are my favorites in NYC. I've tasted soup dumplings in so many places in the States and elsewhere but the Pork & Crab soup dumplings here remain the best I've ever had the pleasure of tasting!“

“The food was absolutely delicious! We had chicken lo mein, soup dumplings, and sweet and sour chicken (with sauce on the side - our preference.) They have plenty of seating, good service, and the food came out in good timing and was very fresh and hot. We also received hot tea when we were seated. 10/10 recommend!“

“I got the noodles here, which were thick and came with a lot of flavor. For dessert I got one of those bunnies with my girlfriend. They had a milky and buttery taste. The restaurant is small but we managed to get a table right away and overall we had a nice time.“

“I just want to say this I think about this place often. I no longer live in NYC but I used to come here all the time for soup dumplings. I haven't been in awhile but those soup dumplings were so amazing I think about this place all the time. No where near me sells them. I miss this place. Come here and have soup dumplings. They're phenomenal.“

“Ok so I love Din Tai Fung, I’ve been to it in Taiwan. The location here is really beautiful, I like the service and the atmosphere. However, if I were to compare it to Taiwans Din Tai Fung it does fall short of the taste of the noodles and wonton soup 😭 The chocolate xiao long Bao’s were really really good! Better than I expected. The normal xiao long Bao’s are good too but a bit dry on the top. The wonton soup had no taste though. The bok choy was very yummy and the cucumber salad tasted the same as how I remembered it in Taiwan too. But like they do charge more here so I did expect it to be the same or better!“

“Awesome scallion pancakes, hot and sour soup, and chicken fried rice. We eat here as soon as we land from Saint Louis each time we visit NYC. Staff is extremely attentive and always on top of anything you need.“

“This is a lovely restaurant..we were the only ones dining there at 4pm on a Thursday, but my oh my were our dishes a gastronome's delight...the garlic chili noodles, mapo tofu, and dry pot beef were indescribably delicious. The young man who served us was also behind the register and he never returned to ask whether we needed anything...BUT he quickly came to our table when I got his attention. He graciously packed my leftovers for carryout after misunderstanding and placing more fire in the table top stove underneath my dry pot beef. I would definitely return to Baodega to try some other dishes!“

“The pork soup dumps was a SOLID NINE OUT OF TEN. Was not expecting to walk in here but they had a solid deal of $6.95 for the pork soup dumps specifically. You get 6 in one order. I know what you’re thinking, they look alittle sweaty but they’re good! Temp was perfect where it wasn’t burning your mouth. The skin of the dumpling was nice and thin. Soup was rich, can’t complain. Match this was a coke and it’s the perfect recipe. I got 2 orders. Only down side is that I wish they spaced them out alittle more. They got stuck together . Did loose like 3 dumps that fell apart. Just a rinky dinky place. Unsure if I’ll go back for anything more than the dumps but it was a vibe. They need to get new menus. I saw ALOT of orders fly out there. They must be doing something right“

“A chill and restful oasis amidst a stressful, filthy, stinky and noisy Chinatown.
The food was fresh and tasty, the service inviting and comforting.
I visited with my 96 year old MIL in a wheelchair and everyone here was very accommodating and pleasant.
We'll be back.“

“The space is large, clean, and bright. You order and pay directly from your phone using a QR code on the table, so there’s not much interaction with the staff, though service is still good.
We tried the pan-fried dumplings, and they were excellent, perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Prices are a bit higher than your typical Chinatown restaurant, but the quality of the space and the food makes it understandable.
It’s a quiet place with soft background music, ideal for a quick, relaxing meal or a lunch break. It’s probably not the spot for a hangout or a date, but if you’re in the mood for great dumplings in a clean, modern setting, Dumpling Story is a solid choice.“

“Great and delicious food. Fast and efficient service. One thing I noticed, is that the lady who greeted in the way have some preference. She didn't greet us out for some reason. It's not a big deal. But she did greeted to others with a big smile. Maybe I m seeing too.“
