“Filipina here living in Thailand who visited this place during an NYC vacation for the craving of Asian food. I personally enjoyed the food - we order green chicken curry and beef with broccoli. If you're an Asian looking for a taste of home, I think this is good enough and the bad reviews are coming from a lot of folks who didn't grow up eating food from Asia.“

“Great service and food was great. The only complain I have was the noise level from the restaurant music since the speakers were all around the restaurant, and if you're sitting below , can be very distracting. Would be better if volume was lower. But overall, each dish we ordered was excellent.“

“We absolutely love this place. The food is very authentic. It’s a small location, but they do a great job of getting you your order relatively quickly. Everything is very delicious and some people were even waiting outside because of how good the food is. There were also a lot of delivery orders we could see your people coming for takeout. I highly recommend you trying this place. It can get very busy around dinner time so come before then or a little bit after like around 7:30 p.m..“

“I love the food, so far every dish I have tried has been excellent, seems like authentic Thai food as they say if many people from that country eats there it is a compliment to its authenticity.
The service from the workers especially Tang she helps me every time and is so courteous, friendly and helpful.
I am disabled and Tang is always attentive and helpful with entering exiting as well as when I order take she brings it out to my car to save me having to get out, all of this is so amazing and rare in a very busy city like New York.

“This place is simply amazing, the food is some of the best I've ever had and by far the best Thai food in the city. The dishes are tantalizing and unapologetically spicy and I wouldn't want it any other way. Having said that, coming here is a rare treat due to the sky high prices, that honestly feel unreasonable. The place is always packed so it seems no one else has an issue with dropping at least 30 bucks for a small, albeit amazing and memorable dish. Just based on the food, this place is 10/10, but the prices limit how often I can come back.“

“One of the best , very authentic Thai place.
This is a tiny hole in the wall, street food kind of place.
I had their lemongrass chicken..it was delicious, you could taste the lemongrass on the chicken too .

We also has chicken satay, which was also quite delicious. This will probably become my regular Thai food eatery when I feel like eating Thai“

“Delicious dishes - massaman curry beef, white lotus soup. Portion size was small - almost made me do a 4* but it's more like NYC normal. Friendly staff. Ate outside in front and service was busy and we received a bit less attention but easy enough to flag them down. Overall would give a solid recommendation to go. Fun bathroom photos too“

“Dropped in for just a snack and got the Crab Rangoons which for some reason I feel are so hard to come by in nyc. These were great! The filling was smooth and had nice flavor, and the dough was very very crispy which is what makes or breaks a rangoon for me so I was happy about that. My only gripe was that the amount of sauce was sooo small and definitely not enough!

Also had a Thai Tea which was not too dense and rich, it was more of a refreshing and lighter, yet still creamy thai tea which was exactly what I needed in the moment so it hit so well.“

“HONEY PORK SLIDERS may not be the most iconic Thai go-to but these are the very best sandwiches I've ever had in my long, well-fed life. Before Mama opened this welcoming restaurant, she had a place nearby called Thai Sliders where I first became acquainted with this spectacular flavor/texture miracle. I usually order fancier fare when I sit down at Lil Chef Mama but I love these sliders for takeout. And each sandwich is much bigger and more generous than most sliders,so instead of lasting for only one meal, the two I recently took home lasted me for two glorious feasts. “I loved the weekday lunch set menu (Pad Thai + Thai Iced Tea + One Spring Roll for $17), because it was both delicious and affordable. The portions were generous.

ATMOSPHERE: The restaurant is small, with a total of 6 tables or so. Although they have a heater, it gets cold during the winter, because the door keeps opening and closing.

FOOD: I liked the expansive menu, the lunch special, and clearly labeled vegetarian options. The Pad Thai was a little bit sweet to my liking, but still yummy.“

However sometimes I order for delivery and I really wish they could get stickers or something to go on top of the drinks to ensure delivery drivers can’t put anything in it. “Small place delivers a big tasting experience. Delicious drunken noodles in a perfect sauce with plenty of vegetables. I had shrimp and also ordered fried gyoza and a their house-recipe Thai tea that had an appropriate amount of sweetness and flavor balance. Very nice staff and quickly cooked to my table.“
