I've been in food and beverage-restaurant management my entire adult life, and this young lady is superb, top-notch, from her service to her manners; she's very well-spoken. You feel genuinely appreciated, like more than I sometimes feel in some higher-class, five-star restaurants. She's a class act in every way. I'm so glad she's back. “If you are looking for a place that serves authentic Mexican food, then South Philly Barbacoa is the place. The food is delicious and is really cheap. They are known for their lamb tacos, and you must try it if you come here. It's cash only I believe.“

It seems like this place is slept on gem compared to other NoLibs brunch spots. We had the omelette plate and plaintain French toast and it was sooo flavorful and delicious. Will be coming here as my main brunch spot from now on.“

“Our second visit on 9/18/2025. We were celebrating my birthday and I’m glad I chose to come. The food was delicious and our byob of choice was Tequila. Margaritas were made and did not disappoint us. Noelia our server was amazing. Very kind and friendly as well as accommodating at all times with a smile. She even saw us leaving and made sure to say goodbye and so did the hostess. There was such a great portion of meat on each taco I was only able to eat 3 of 4. The ability to customize my taco was wonderful! Ask for extra napkins + limes. “Los Chulos Mexican Restaurant is such a fun and lively place the moment you walk in you can smell all those amazing spices and fresh tortillas I ordered the chicken enchiladas and they were incredible cheesy flavorful with that perfect little kick of spice the rice and beans on the side tasted homemade too the staff were super friendly and kept checking if everything was good music was playing people laughing it just had that warm family vibe not too fancy just real and full of flavor I’m definitely coming back maybe to try the margaritas next time“

“I went to Palenque with my family today, 2 young kids and my two in laws who are a bit older. Please note that my Chinese in laws aren’t the most adventurous when it comes to food, but we all loved the food! We ordered a Mole Poblano, Al Pastor, Beef Tongue and Fish tacos, and a Guacamole. Portion sizes were great, all the meats and ingredients were cooked impeccably and authentically. I particularly loved the Mole, the sauce was rich and flavourful, and its consistency was smooth and creamy like the best out there. Will definitely love to come back again some day! Highly recommended.“
