“We ordered from La Sicilia for the first time for my sons 5th birthday party. He has a lot of food allergies and they have a vegan pizza that is actually delicious! Monica was so nice and helpful coordinating a large party order and even called the day before to confirm everything. The food was delivered on time and was fresh and delicious. The driver even helped us set everything out. 10/10 would recommend and we will definitely be returning customers.“
“Ever since the new owners took over this place, the level of detail throughout the experience has really exceeded expectations. Every single pizza slice I've ordered here has been exceptional, their staff incredibly friendly and accommodating and I just can't think of a better pizza place in the area that offers this level of service. I highly recommend this place for any occasion!“
“The pizza is really good. I like the flavor of the pizza and the chicken tenders. The garlic knots are fresh and they taste just as good if you eat it the next day. The staff is friendly and ordering online is easy and quick. I would recommend this place.“
“Took the family here for a birthday dinner gathering. It was very good and we throughly enjoyed it. The atmosphere was great, the food was amazing and the waiter & staff were terrific! First time visiting and they didn't disappoint at all food was absolutely wonderful well prepared hot and fresh! A very good experience and I would definitely recommend“
“Super tasty Italian food in a neighborhood spot that’s much more interesting than a South Philly red gravy spot. The baked mozzarella with balsamic vinegar is superb as was the veal and the spaghetti with shell fish in a white garlic sauce.Service was super, friendly and made great recommendations. The restaurant is a byob.“
“It's been a long time since I've been to Sapori and definitely regretting not coming back sooner. The food was outstanding, from the bread and olive oil, to the fresh calamari, main, and dessert. Everything was great in terms of service and the waiter was attentive and charismatic. Heated patio was excellent and everything was reasonably priced. Will definitely be back soon.“
“My husband and I went to a fundraiser here for the first time and enjoyed everything about this hidden gem. We had the chicken parmigiana which was a large enough portion for several meals. The tiramisu was amazing as well. Will definitely be back to enjoy a wonderful home cooked meal.“
“THIS is the place to be.What a wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere, from the hostess to the servers to the other guests. Cute decor with a lot of tables that are in close proximity to one another.THIS is the place to eat.OHHH-EMMM-GEEE the food is incredibly delicious. The portions are generous. The menu selections are great and it’s difficult to choose - and then they have daily specials, which makes it even harder because you want to try it ALL!CASH only- no cards accepted.BYOB and the staff will gladly provide the appropriate glassware.Scannicchio’s is a family place…..the employees are all family and when you’re there you feel like family. MY family, we LOVE Scannicchio’s! It’s our family tradition. La mia famiglia. Mangia bene.Parking: Parking is where we you find a spot! Usually a spot can be found on Broad Street.“
“The owners are the nicest people around and also provide a level of service that is unmatched. Oh and the gelato is the best my family has ever tasted In our lives and we don't have to go to Italy for it. Thank you dolce vita, you have customers for life.“
“My brothers rehearsal dinner was here. Anthony was amazing to work with. The food was fantastic, service was amazing, and everyone had a fabulous time. The room looked so classy and elegant when decorated and set up. Would highly recommend for any event and we cannot wait to return!“
“Wonderful first experience at Albertino's for a birthday celebration. All of the food was delicious and the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. We went on a Wednesday, so we got to experience the Cacio e Pepe (cheese wheel), but there's plenty of entrees to enjoy. Portion sizes are pretty good and we felt all the plates were well worth the price. The space is small and a little tight, but it didn't take anything away from the experience. We were there when the restaurant was packed, but we felt like we could still hear one another and have great conversation without shouting over people around us.“
“One of the only original real Italian food, and people. I'm part Sicilian. I love it. The other 100% Italian pizza place is Riccardo's in Beverly city, NJ. Highley recommend. If not I will reimburse you. For either place. They definitely need to deliver.Parking: There is about 500 spots to park, and for pick up you can park out front.Kid-friendliness: Bring them all john will make them laugh.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp at the door, low bumb at the door and plenty room to wheel around.“
“Best vegetarian cheesesteak ever! Got the Cajun portabella with onions, peppers and cheese. Phenomenal!!!Vegetarian options: The portabella section can be done with only mushrooms, no meat! Cook cleaned the grill and used separate utensils to maintain a vegetarian area, lovely!!!“
“Vegetarian options: Happy they provide a meatless choice.Parking: Worth the effort to find parking. The food here is amazing. I'm from out of town and when I go to Philly I make sure to stop here for the hoagies, pasta dishes and so much more.“
“Overall 5 stars,This is their carnivore pizza without bacon. We also had their white Detroit pizza, I would rate 7/10, room for improvement for the price I think added ricotta would have been an amazing benefit. There is another establishment we usually frequent but I think I just found the best pizza in twp“
“We had to make a reservation at4:45p on a Thursday during restaurant week.. By 5:00 the place was packed. Great service... good recommendations from Tony our waiter..Food was hot and delicious.. my wife and I shared what we had to try as much as possible..Parking can be tough but great place... Will go again.“
“Fantastic food with almost all local ingredients. A lovely prix fixe experience with only three tables and a kitchen counter. The service was intimate and super friendly. Some amazingly creative and well-executed creations done very rustically. Highly recommend it.“
“Love the staff. They make you feel like family. And it's fun to see so many people dining there know one another. such a nice neighborhood restaurant feel Food was so good! My husband loves the chicken parm and the mo's chicken. My kids love the pizza, pasta and meatballs. I always try to order off the specials board. They steak and halibut have been my favorite. The pesto gnocchi was a special but it's on the menu now, it's so good! And love a BYOB.“
“Honestly this was the best Italian food I’ve ever eaten! I ordered the Lasagna—fresh, hot, delicious with large portion. The seeded bread with garlic oil on side was warm & tasty! The staff (Scott) was so friendly & accommodating & drinks were also amazing!I definitely recommend this restaurant & will be going back again!Parking: There are a few spots in the restaurant lot but plenty of street parking & a CVS lot across the street“
“One of our favorite restaurants ❣️ Always great & different daily specials which are very delicious ?. Many fabulous choices on regular menu ❣️. Service is amazing and very pleasant as well❣️❣️❣️ Always an awesome & enjoyable time ?“
“Was in town for wrestlemania and the typical cheese steak spots were filled with tourists and had no parking. I did a google search and found this wonderful place. And it's in a huge parking lot. Food was great too. Don't hesitate come here!“
“60 years in South Jersey and I can say the best Italian food is at Il Fiore. Each dish comes to the table hot, well presented and delicious. Ask Lundy for something in case you do not see it, he is the "host with the most." His staff truly attempts to provide each customer with the best service. Even when the house is full and people are waiting in line to come in, your glass of water will always be filled, your BYOB wine will be poured and your meal will be as if you were the only table in the restaurant. I especially like when they have the veal chop special while my wife craves their grilled salmon dishes. Come to Il Fiore and enjoy, you will never be sorry. BTW, eating lunch there is a great treat--quieter, music playing and reasonable prices.“
“Went to Cotardo’s today with my family and I had the best Crab Gravy special EVER! This is usually my go to at an Italian Restaurant and Cotardo’s exceeded my expectations. The pasta was cooked to perfection. The clams were delicious and the crab was out of this world. Crab with every bite and the sauce was fantastic. I found out the special was made by Mr. Cotardo himself and what a special it is! I cannot say enough good things about this establishment. The service was also top notch. We will be back again soon.“
“Today our daughter celebrated her birthday at an escape room in Collingswood. While trying to figure out where to eat afterwards, the host recommended Cafe Antonio's. We were politely greeted by the hostess who arranged tables to accommodate our large party. While being seated, the owner, Aaron asked us if we were celebrating a birthday. We said yes, it's our daughter's birthday. Much to our surprise, Aaron came back 15 minutes later with a beautiful birthday cake for our daughter. We were extremely touched by his generosity and thoughtfulness. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding!! We highly recommend Cafe Antonio's and are so grateful to them for making our daughter's birthday even more special. Thank you again Aaron. We look forward to coming back again.“
“We’re from Oregon and stopped by twice before our flight back. Prices are great and the food is fresh, melt in your mouth softness from the bagels and bacon ? cooked perfectly!! Had a Breakfast Bagel both times and can’t get enough. We’re coming back once more today to get a hoagie for the plane trip!! Well Done Mama Marie’s!!!“
“I came for the fresh pasta (ravioli). But Mother Nature had to be a jerk and turn the electric off??. So I had to settle for Acme frozen ….you get 5 stars across the board. But for he love of god. Tell Acme to respect your brand and don’t let the temperature in th freezers change. Every ravioli in my dozen split open. I blame them since I NEVER had a problem with you fresh or frozen“
“I’m here with a party of 40. What a magnificent job they’re doing. Cranking it out. Authentic Italian food. We had everything from eggplant parm to chicken parm to chicken piccata and Marsala to salmon. App was diced tomato and garlic bruschetta. Entrees were served with sides of penne pasta in a blush sauce and tomato based green beans with what else but GARLIC. Simply outstanding. The sauce on my chicken piccata was perfectly lemony and tangy. The gangster atmosphere is too fun. Great sense of humor. You won’t find this in my current home state of Colorado. Thanks to the chef and staff. Pics attached, of course!“
“I was surprised, being there for the first time for dinner, that Tuscan Bistro had lobster bisque soup and bacon wrapped scallops for an appetizer, my two favorites. I asked if it was regularly on the menu, and was told no, but the ingredients for the bacon wrapped scallops are always on the menu, so it could be made to order. My husband had the staple, Chicken Parmesan, which he said was very good and tender. We will definitely be going back for dinner, and not only for lunch. Service was excellent, prices were comparable, and meals were delicious.“
“Tonight was our first time here. We ordered a pizza with half pepperoni. I like thin crust pizza and that's what we got. The sauce was amazing, even the pepperoni was good. This combination of good ingredients really impressed me.The wait time was short. They have a lot of menu items. So, I am thinking that we will probably be back here soon. The staff is friendly and helpful.I highly recommend La Matta Pizza ?Parking: There are a lot of parking spaces. We parked right up front. The parking lot is lit and appears to be safe.“
“I’ve eaten here at at least a coupledozen times now. The food is always fresh and always consistent. It’s obvious the chef is passionate about his menu and the quality of what’s coming out of the kitchen. Trying new restaurants is kind of a hobby and I would rank Speranza‘s right up there with some of Philly‘s better restaurants! If you haven’t tried it yet..stop hesitating…you won’t be disappointed!“
“Wonderful food and wonderful people!! Try the meatballs! My very picky very Italian man and kids rarely like anyone's meatballs and they gobbled them down! The family that works here treats everyone that walks in the door friendly and with respect. You won't be sorry you went, and you'll probably go back again.Thank you, Vanessa's Cafe for the meal!“
“Not only is the food great, the service warm and timely, and the restaurant upgrade attractive, but I had the benefit of hearing some Algerian musicians play mandolin and banjo with Middle Eastern melodies! A real treat. And the breakfast sandwiches are out of this world!“
“I stopped in Philly for my rolls and they don’t have them or sell them no we’re but South Philly ! You must come early. They sell out before 12 most of the time so I order ahead because I like the little rolls and pick them up the next day ! I love sitting out and smelling them baking the rolls around 3 o’clock am My mouth was water , with my rolls still warm I put some butter on that. Oh my God out of this world. they also have Stromboli pizza, and other baked items you must go in and see.!“
“We LOVE Anthony's, we live in town amd can walk there. They are always so nice, know our kids by name and have watched our family grow. Ms. Aaliyah the owner is a true gem. Happy to support a small business and highly reccomemnd stopping by.“
“What a wonderful place. We’ve been eating around to find a place for our rehearsal dinner. We were there for our mom’s birthday dinner recently and the food was absolutely amazing. The place was beautiful, great service. Definitely jump up in the ranks on our lists of potential rehearsal dinner spot. The Linguini Pasitano is to die for. So good !!“
“Irwin’s is an Italian restaurant located inside Bok Building, which was an old school revitalized as an artsy complex space. From the school desks to the chairs, the vintage furnishings of Irwin’s give a nostalgic vibe.*Shallot and Thyme Focaccia **They change the housemade foccacia flavor regularly. Glad that we got to try the shallot and thyme one. The bread dough was pillowy with a shiny brown surface, while not feeling oily at all. The sweetness from the caramelized shallot and the herby fragrance from thyme made a harmonious flavor duet.*1/2 Agrodolce Chicken**SERIOUSLY how could they make the chicken (even the chicken breast!) so tender and juicy? Also can we talk about the gremolata? It was fantastic as a dish itself, and add extra textures and tangy flavors if you spread it over the meat.*Trofie (half)We know their carbs wouldn’t be as amazing as their proteins but we still wanted to try. The pasta was cooked to al dente. The mushroom truffle flavor was exactly what you could easily imagine. Nothing mindblowing here.*Milk & Honey GelatoWe picked this right away because I saw it had “pistachio”. The honey was very sweet, but premium in flavor. My cravings was fully satisfied as they didn’t skimp on the crushed pistachios on top. Lowkey wished that the gelato melted a bit slower.“
“Love Chiquita's al pastor pizza. I also ordered the parmesean garlic chicken tenders which were delicious, however, not sure if it was just a bad batch but it was swimming in oil - suggestion to cut back on the oil cause these tasted fantastic - but having to pour all that oil out of the box wasn't ideal. I will def order them again to try the again, hopefully it was just a fluke!“
“I wasn’t clear with my order and had something else delivered and of course I didn’t realize till later and that they were going to close soon. Called and placed another order and they were quick to get it out to me. Great service, great people. Btw we love their pizza and wings!“
“What a great place…. Had a weird request and we think they thought we were joking! We were headed to my grandfather‘s birthday. He was turning 101 and we asked him to customize the pizza. We asked them to add 101 in pepperoni, I think they thought we were joking, but they fulfilled our request. What an awesome way to celebrate the birthday with excellent food. We shall be back again, and again, thank you for making our grandfather‘s birthday super special.“
“?Cannoli $5.95The outer skin is crispy and not greasy. The more you bite into it, the more delicious it becomes. The texture always reminds me of vegetable pancakes. The freshly filled filling is cheese with a crunchy texture, not sweet or greasy.tasty! The clerk is friendly!“
“Food is excellent but way over priced. We each had a pasta dish that was just shy of $30.00 for each of us. Portions were average BUT, didnt include anything else... no salad, no bread...nothing. just pasta and chicken. We can go to the Library IV and get prime rib or filet for about $5.00 more And we get an awesome salad bar, cheese and crackers, bread and a side.“
“I had high expectations since it seemed to have mostly high reviews. I had seafood over linguine with a white sauce. I had a lot of empty mussels/clams I my bowl, calamari was a bit chewy and the sauce was very bland. Food was a bit pricey for what you got. One small bread basket for table of 7, service seemed a bit rushed, and server was a bit rude. There are many other better Italian restaurants in area to choose from probably will not go back again.“
“Hands down The Absolute BEST Taste of Italy ?? without having to travel abroad that my wife and I have ever had. Thank you so much Nick, and to all who contributed in making our experience that much more memorable. We most definitely will be back again!“
“We always do delivery from this place we've never actually stayed there and eat in so I can't give you any type of review about inside however the food is normally good hot and the people are friendly the prices are fair so I do recommend this place for a “
“The food is amazing, on point every time. The protein shakes are also really good especially with the added options, and there’s a good selection of meals/sides on their menu. Even the staff there is friendly. It’s definitely worth the drive, considering I live 30 minutes away. I highly recommend it, 10/10!!Parking: There’s enough of parking spots.“
“Great bakery in the south Jersey area. There is a nice selection of breads and desserts. This particular visit, we grabbed a loaf of Italian bread and a dozen donuts. The loaf of bread was fantastic and the donuts were awesome - we chose some classics like chocolate frosted and chocolate cream filled but also a couple exotics like red velvet, salted caramel and peanut butter and jelly. The staff is so friendly and helpful. This is a bakery that you need to try!“
“NEVER had anything bad from Nitty's. Pizza is phenomenal, Pizzaz fiercely rivals, no I lied, outright beats & corners the market against the usual Pizzaz contenders of South Philly. Owner/operator Frank is a stand-up neighborhood guy who always greets you with a smile and is happy to see you as if no time has passed by since you've last seen each other. I've yet to dine in, so can't comment on the staff other than they're mostly female & very easy on the eyes, lol.Parking: It's street parking at 18th n Moyamensing so there are so many factors regarding parking. But if you're a South Philly native you already know what it's hittin for. But all in all parking shouldn't be an issue. At most you may have to walk a block or 2.Wheelchair accessibility: None that I saw“
“Spent a couple of hours at Tonewood Brewing in Barrington last weekend and we were incredibly hungry. I asked one of the bartenders what he recommended for delivery and he suggested Brooklyn Original. We were not disappointed. We ordered the Bella Luna that's sliced sausage, mozzarella, ricotta with Mike's hot honey. It was amazing. The pizza was huge and tasted delicious. Can't wait to get back to try more of the menu.“
“First time here and I was impressed the crust is not too thick but not too thin its just right, the sauce is very flavorful perfect amount of cheese , plus our waiter was very polite professional this guinely s great spot for pizza I'll be back again thank “
“We're from the area & always eat take out here. Their salads are large & fresh & their chicken parm is my husband's favorite. The sauce tastes homemade, not sugary store bought. Their always nice & delivery is fast too! Highly recommend.Vegetarian options: It's easy to modify the food to be vegetarian & they don't act annoyed. I order the southwest chicken salad without the chicken, cheese or garlic knots with extra avocado & black olives. It's delicious & fresh. Omit the egg & it can be vegan. Their salads are large so it is a meal!Dietary restrictions: I modify to be vegetarian & gluten free.“
