“The service is good but the busers are aggressive when one person is still eating you might want to tell your Hispanic buser not to come and interrupt the meal to clear plates away when the dining room is nearly empty that's why we don't come on Christmas Eve they damn near throw us out“

None of this fake trained service, no obnoxiously complicated explanations of the chef or the food, just genuinely kind people serving genuinely good food that doesn’t hide behind any smoke and mirrors. If you haven’t had an amazing time here it’s probably cause you’re not much fun to begin with. Get here, order one of everything, enjoy it, you’ll fall in love.“

“my fiance and I were in Philly (from Maine) and she treated me to Osteria for my birthday dinner. The service was amazing throughout the meal, I wish I got the servers name as he was really an incredibly friendly young man who clearly knew the menu very well. The atmosphere is wonderful and the interior is just lovely. In terms of the food, I had the wild boar bolognese which was a special that night, and it was AMAZING!! Really, all the food was impeccable, from the focaccia to our mains. Super pleased and the next time I’m in town, I will most definitely be coming back!!“

“We held an 80th birthday party at Verona. The service was top notch and owners beyond accommodating. The guests said they want to come back! The clams casino is my favorite. The outdoor seating is great.“

“My family had dinner at Albertinos today for my mom and husbands birthday. Because there was 9 of us they require a fix price meal for each person. This price includes an app, main, and dessert - anything on the menu. The service here is outstanding. The food is better than anywhere else in town, and for me- the best Italian I have ever had. Dinner for 9 of us took about three hours. To me, this is amazing. There was no rush. They made sure everything was perfect. We were able to relax and enjoy our time. We have been there two other times and have had the same waitress. The daughter of the owner (Jsut another plus). She is bubbly and kind and makes sure everyone has a great time. “We chose Spasso because my sister remembered it from years ago. We had a relatively early dinner at Spasso the evening of Philly's first Friday of the season. We had a great seat by the street facing windows. Our server was friendly and provided great service. We all enjoyed our meals, generous portions, so we did have some to take home. Overall, a great experience, we would return. Saw several people same evening who all said they hadn't been there in years. After our description of dinner, they said they would visit soon. Yum!“

“Thank heavens for Colonial Beach Local Foodie’s referral. Meet a gentleman at Thousand Trails resort just outside of Colonial Beach Va. that had a thick Upstate NY accent. We preceded to reminisce about family in Upstate NY,, of course food rolled into the conversation,. That’s how I came across Nonna Lena’s Italian Cuisine. I stopped by the restaurant by myself a couple of later.. Thought I’d get a quick lunch fix. Wrong! My eyes nearly popped out of my head when I the chief my plate of Eggplant Parmesan. What a wonderful freshly made dinner (plus leftovers for 2 extra meals). The staff all were very friendly. Chiefly came out to see how I liked my meal. He shared some details about the newly open restaurant & homemade recipes, etc. He mentioned breakfast was also served and somehow in the conversation he decided to send me home with a sample of sausages & gravy along with my husbands meal. OMGoodness, the next day my breakfast was fantastic. Foodie’s note. Their food is prepared fresh from scratch daily😊. Don’t past by Colonial Beach Va. without dinning at Nonna Lena’s Italian several times.“

“First Ill start with the pros - the staff Katelyn and Fiona were soo sweet, attentive, and welcoming. Katelyn wasn’t even our assigned server for the night but she made our evening! The view is beautiful and the building that it’s in is so cool. We were sat down right away for our reservation and the food was really tasty. We were overall very satisfied and would return most definitely.

Now for the cons - I would have to agree the serving sizes are small for the price point truly. The food tasted yummy so it didnt necessarily bug us too much, but I definitely would recommend coming here only for a light dinner/ appetizers with drinks type of place. For example the fish we got was $75 (market price) and the pasta was a few bites per person for a full size. Definitely wouldn’t recommend a group of more than four people just based on the seating. Overall I think coming here for a date, birthday or nice dinner is a wonderful experience and I hope that the staff get the appreciation they deserve.“
