“VERY,VERY BUSY PLACE. I was by myself because I was on a business trip first night which was Friday and could not get a seat at the bar. So I opted to come back the next evening and got a seat. The bartenders were very friendly and very knowledgeable of what they were serving. Joked around and had a good time and seemed like their jobs. I got a ribeye steak with mashed potatoes. Those cooked perfection even when I asked them to make sure the steak was dry. I can always tell what kind of meat facility serves when you don't put anything like steak, butter or spices on it. You should not have to do that. And I'm telling you that the steak was a very prime, a good grade of steak. Overall, that atmosphere was great. A little dark for my taste but that's what you get when you go to a place like this. If you're going to visit here, plan to make sure that you see that they're going to be on a wait no matter what. Can't wait to go back. In fact, I'll probably be the one in Florida in a few weeks“

“The place itself was beautiful the host to the waitress was very friendly and didn’t mind a conversation. Everything was delicious to the appetizers to the courses. The only thing that wasn’t great was the NY stripe aged steak. I asked for it to be cooked medium rare but this was the worst chewy steak I ever had. I saved majority of it to see if I could fix it at home but no luck. Just not the best quality steak and was hoping it was due to grill being in the name. They only charged $8 bucks for that little dollop of butter on top of the steak. The best thing we had was the scallops they are to die for! They melt in your mouth and the flavor was fantastic. I would come again just wouldn’t get their steak again.“

“I recently celebrated a milestone birthday with a dinner at Elwood with family and friends. Chef Adam and Jenny were wonderful to work with and the meal was absolutely delicious. Everyone loved the venison scrapple amuse bouche. We shared several orders of perogies and cheese platters to kick off the meal, followed by a couple of orders of the tri- tip beef, the sea bass, and the rabbit, which are served family style with a whole host of accompaniments, including exceptional mashed potato that got rave reviews and deserves it's own mention. Several of the diners had never had rabbit, but they all tried it and it was a hit! I already have plans to come with some friends for an afternoon tea, and my husband and I will definitely be back for dinner and/or one of the dining events that Chef Adam hosts. “Wasn't as impressed as I thought I would be. Seafood tower the best part of this $300 meal for 3. Their mussels were good, but had better. Their red fish was delicious. Their keylime pie went in the garbage. Our salads came after the meal, Ceasars with bread crumbs no croutons and definitely no anchovy, which i find odd for a seafood place. I dine out quite a bit, this was mediocre at best. Wont be going back. Would consider it if they had a liquor license just for the tower.“

“I love this place. They have some of the freshest distinct cocktail that I’ve seen that hasn’t been from a fancy spot or a speakeasy. They usually have a special and or some fresh fish. Backdoor pizza is also outback🤫. Only drawback is whenever me and my lady come in one female barkeep seems to purposely avoid greeting us or serving us. We sit at the bar and she’ll stay away like she playing defense for Manchester United and then when one of her co workers takes care of us she speak to any new patrons that come in and sit near us. Not sure what that could be but otherwise 5 ⭐️’s.“

We loved every course we had; a unique caesar salad (with grilled broccolini and fennel!), the "world's best hotdog" (a wagyu hotdog on a delicious buttery roll which truly was the world's best hotdog), truffle gnocchi mac 'n cheese, roasted peach confit duck, and barbecued chili lime pork. I was a big fan of Asad’s, however, afterwards I would always feel heavy, nauseous, and just overall gross. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. The owners seem like good, genuine people. I’ve tried a few places that just didn’t hit the mark—but AL SHAM in Chalfont is a straight 10/10!! They serve real Arabic bread (pita)—not tortillas disguised as pita like you find at other places—and their homemade Lebanese toum (garlic aioli) is the real deal. One bite of their falafel wrap instantly transported me to a boardwalk in Lebanon, overlooking the Mediterranean—complete with fresh bread, Lebanese pickles, and those perfect pickled turnips. “Memphis Market is a great place to grab a quick inexpensive breakfast sandwich, cheese steak, pizza pretzels, and most other corner store needs. 95%of the staff is absolutely amazing. I've only had an issue with 1 person there on 3 occasions(out of maybe 500 trips there) and it wasn't a personal issue, just a matter of a woman smoking 2x while too close to the food, inside the store, and 1 other time when she was talking about a some pretty gross subject to another worker,(not much grosses me out, but this absolutely did) which made me cancel my order. She normally works (worked) early AM. Not sure if she is even still employed, but I usually go after lunch these days.“

“As a Kensington resident, I definitely want to scoop people to all the hot spots in our neighborhood cluster: Kensington (East, Upper, Old), Port Richmond, Harrowgate. I’d have to put Kensington Pub No. 1 for both food and atmosphere.

They have a decently vast menu for a pub, and I believe there’s really not a miss on the menu. Last time out, my wife got the Cod sandwich w/ fries, and I got the Smashburger, w/ fries. As a legit French fry connoisseur, I asked for my crinkle fries to be well-done with no salt, and they delivered them golden and perfectly!

They give you such a big portion of fries that I was in heaven. The smashburger (double) was very good as well; a little thicker than your normal smash patties, but who would complain about that.

My wife thought the portion of her cod sandwich was on the smaller side, but she liked that it wasn’t oily like most cod sandwiches. It also came in 3 pieces, which makes it more difficult to eat opposed to one cod patty.

The atmosphere was dope: When the Phillies, Eagles, Sixers, or Flyers are on, you will get a nice crowd that gives you that traditional Philly feel, with the ambience supporting that. We love the retro pictures of different spots around Philly, and we happened to sit at a table that had a picture of the exact street we live on.

I give Kensington Pub a 10/10 and we will frequent it quite a bit as it’s within walking distance. Most of our neighborhood is if you want to get some exercise in.“

“I was having the hardest time finding somewhere with Eggs Benedict at 2pm. I told them I had little time and they got me seated and a waitress over to order immediately. Food came quick! The restaurant is clean and well kept. The staff were wonderful. The food was AWESOME. I’m not sure I’ve ever had a better eggs benedict . The servings are huge, I got a jersey boy with spinach and there was a ton of pork roll and spinach on it. Home fries were crispy. Adding this to the top of the breakfast spot list!“
