Every piece of fish were cut so thinly and precisely they spent so much hard work and time making sure everything is perfect. “The food here is absolutely worthy of a Michelin star. Everything was fresh, unique, explained well, and, most importantly, delicious! I love how they’d rather you be comfortable eating than for you to pretend like you know what you’re doing. Everyone is treated equally here whether you’ve tasted ponzu sauce or not. They will explain what you’re eating and how to eat each course. I recommend this place for people who don’t mind spending on quality and who have a pallet sensitive enough to appreciate refined Japanese cuisine. I removed a star from their service because apparently they do something nice for people on their birthdays, and we were skipped, although it was noted in our reservation. Recommend pairing sake and whiskey to go with the Wagyu. You won’t regret it! Also, go check out the bathroom while you’re there! They really brought the best parts of Japan to Philly!“

“Been searching for good japanese restaurant for quite some time. Let me just say that Mikado far exceeded our expectations. From tge appetizers to dinner, it was exceptional. Our server, Michelle, was great. We had tge seared pepper tuna sushi app - so fresh and delicious. My husband had the hibachi with filet and lobster - amazing too. My son had the combo udon noodles - ate every bite! We had the tempura banana dessert - delicious as well as the chocolate mousse cake and coppa cafe. Amy at the front desk was so gracious and sweet. We will definitely be back many times. Give this place a try - you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“The Panang Curry Chicken is an 8 out of 10 when they serve it to you. Then if you dont finish it, take it home, reheat it the next day, its an absolute 10 out of 10. The sauce gets thicker and the flavor gets richer and its downright delectable.

“sitting here waiting for my first order so i figured i'd give some feedback about the menu- specifically regarding the gluten free subject. let me just say- very unclear. so many things i'm interested in ordering but don't know if they are gluten free or not- for ex, wanted to order the poke bowl- says gluten free option. when went to add ingredients doesn't specify which are gluten free or not- like sauces & the marinades & a lot of seaweed salad isn't gf so etc. is like this for a lot of menu items not just poke. a lot of menu items you have to click on each one to see if it's gluten free as opposed to viewing all gf options at once as well. basically, it's not really worth the trouble if you're gluten free to come here unless you find your go-tos. this would be easier if you could heart your favorites so you could be prepared instead of having to look through everything every time. still need to work out a few kinks here to make this a lasting business imo, but cool idea. hope the co is willing to work on improvements. (giving food all stars for now but haven't tried it yet)“

“This place has really good food, and everything we ordered tasted fresh and yummy. The restaurant seemed clean, and the atmosphere was nice.
The only downsides were that parking was a bit difficult to find, and the prices were a little on the expensive side. The service wasn’t the best during our visit, but it wasn’t bad overall. It seemed like our server might have been new, so I don’t want to judge too harshly.

“Was here recently for a colleague’s birthday party. They rented a private room with food + bottle service. Off street parking was definitely a huge plus. The staff was very attentive, and the overall atmosphere of the place seemed pretty chill. My only critique is the karaoke interface is not very intuitive, and the selection for ACTUAL karaoke/instrumental tracks are very limited because they only use Spotify for the music. It’s more like a sing-along than karaoke. I would suggest using youtube instead of spotify because YouTube’s selection of music for karaoke is far superior. Other than that, the place is great!“

“The food??? AMAZING!! The chicken wings got so much flavor and the rice is perfectly seasoned not too much not too little. Now my favorite thing??? That shrimp tempura poke bowl is AMAZINGGG. I literally will gladly take that 16 minute drive any day. Edit: ordered again today, got the same bowl but with brown rice due to diabetes, was SUPER GOOD. Will never complain !“

“First place I've been to that looks like a liquor store, tou can buy and drink beers and liquors there as well, but also is a Chinese restaurant. It even has a sit down area, although tables are there pretty dirty. Food wasn't bad, although the vegetables in it were pretty wilted.“
