“This is the combination I didn’t know I needed until I had it and can’t live without it now! When you walk in, the beautiful BBQ smells grace you along with a friendly welcome. We had the half and half - the jerk pork was so tasty and the jerk chicken was to die for! The meat is tender and flavorful. The rice is a surprising main character to accompany the meats. Must try spot!“

“Was there for the first time tonight and plan to be back again soon. The place is fantastic. First off, Dave (I am assuming the owner) and Danny our server, were super gracious and inviting and offered some great suggestions. I had the birria tacos which were great. We were a part of 4 and everybody loved their meals. My wife is a vegetarian and there were plenty of options for her. The guacamole was perfect. Street corn appetizer was fantastic. I highly recommend! Best Mexican food in East Brunswick.“

“We went to Fernandes Matawan for the first time June 1, as recommeded by our son for his birthday. The service, food and atmosphere was beyond exceptional. Best calamari I have in a long time, the Sea Bass and fresh vegtables I ordered was excellent as was the 12 oz. filet and lobster tail my husband ordered. My son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren enjoyed their salmon, clams, lobster and shrimp meal choices. Large portions, we all except my husband and son, needed to bring home what we could not finish. Also the pitcher of white sangrera which was perfect. Hats off to the excellent service and food. Bottom line, the menu prices were a little more than what we expected, but it was worth it, you get what you pay for. My husband and I will be going back!“

“We made a reservation for five people at noon to have brunch. We haven't seen each other in a while. So we did a lot of yapping. The staff was great. Very attentive. They allowed us to stay there for three hours. We were just catching up with old friends who haven't seen each other in a long time. Again, the staff was awesome. The food was awesome. “super small place oy about 6 tables plus a few bar seats. food is super expensive but we had Erin as our server and she was absolutely wonderful. can't say enough nice things about her. super friendly and very attentive to our needs. she made it a wonderful experience. food was not great, a little bit greasy and very overpriced. there's literally about 4 choices on the entire menu. Reuben sandwich with fries ($15) chicken tenders with fries($13) bowl of mac and cheese ($12) chicken wings (6 for $8) we weren't going to eat here but it is inside the hotel and we didn't want to drive anymore after a long road trip to get to the hotel. if it wasn't for Erin's awesome service then we would have walked out.“

“Spicy pepperoni lived up to its name and was very good. Our waiter was attentive at first then forgot about us. Sweet ice tea was carbonated and tasted like Sprite but waiter swore it was ice tea (I disagree that was tea). Extremely difficult to park in questionable area. Would not return.“
