“This place has it all ! Great service even from the minute you walk in you feel welcome there. Apple Crack Cocktail is wildly tasty ! Bourbon Slushy excellent except for the brain freeze. Chicken HandPie was quite unique. Flaky light and tasty. The French Dip Sandwich was done perfectly bread had the perfect crust yet still soft inside. Steak cooked perfectly. Now the GUMBO !!!!! Just insane with flavor and depth. Robust, rich full of flavor. Every bite was a different taste whether it was the crab,shrimp, sausage or crayfish . All around an excellent place. “I can't say enough good things about this place, obviously a waterfront beach bar has an amazing view and cool atmosphere, they're constantly hosting events, live music, which attracts a great crowd as well. And by the way, in my opinion as far as bar food goes they're top tier. Not just burgers and chicken fingers but kabobs and short ribs and things you typically see as bar food. “Mix is a decent place to meet up with friends for the evening. It's closer to a bar/ lounge than a for food. The drinks are good and they do have decent bites to eat. It's kept nice and clean inside with good service. The interior has an updated and sort of hip feel to it. It's a good place for a fun night out with friends.“

“We always go for the open mic there. It's a friendly receptive crowd but just remember as a performer, not everybody there is going to be watching or listening, especially toward the back. It is loud. Just the same it's a receptive audience and the food is good.“

I guess it would be good bar food, but the fries weren't seasoned, so it was good with the sauce they put on, but when we got fries with the sandwich, the plain fries were unseasoned. We didnt really think this should be under "dive bar" so yea. Refers to food as nips and idk if it was the chicken tenders or just some other item used“

The staff is great, Meg is great, Dylan is great and there is another bartender with an unusual name, I think starts with an I and I apologize...my memory is just shifty anymore, you told me your name at least twice already, and I'm sorry....she's great also. This place is an oasis if you're waiting for a bus.

I just have one problem. I'm not some dumb kid. I know how bars can be. But there were these drunk, aggresive Hispanic guys, screaming and howling and being rude and aggressive. Can't the bartender ask 'em to leave? People who can't control their behavior, especially when they drink, don't belong with people who just want to get lunch and relax before the bus comes.“

The It is a small bar and grill with a dark almost mystical ambiance on a small one-way street. The bar has a warm and welcoming personality featuring great food, good vibes, friendly staff all in an inviting space of a classic pub atmosphere.“

“My husband recently hosted a bunch of old college buddies and their wives for our wedding! Since about 25 of them were visiting the Shore area for the first time, he wanted to make sure they experienced all the sights and sounds Monmouth County has to offer. Normally, finding something fun (and legal) for a large group of out-of-towners to do after midnight is a challenge—but not in Rumson! He took the whole crew to Murphy’s Tavern with the promise that they’d get a taste of a local legend: a good old-fashioned speakeasy tucked away in the basement of a house, right in the heart of a residential neighborhood. Needless to say, they had a blast! Whether you’re kicking off a weekend wedding celebration or just grabbing a late-night drink, we highly recommend popping into Murphy’s Tavern.“
