I was able to just drive up this week and saw they are indeed still open, so I am revising my review to account for their tasty eats. I finally got my birria empanadas, and I'm pleased. :)Initial Review:I placed an order online 2 weeks ago, but when I went to pick it up the place was completely closed. I called and called some more but no one ever picked up the phone. Now the phone is disconnected. I think it's safe to say I'm not getting those empanadas. :(The order online option is still totally active too which feels a bit scammy to me.“

“This little gem is located across from A&A deli in Lincoln Park NJ. The staff amazing. The food amazing (we had a chipotle chicken, a Philly cheesesteak, and a pulled pork empanada; in addition yellow rice and black bean and a cherry empanada for desert). Would recommend this restaurant 100%. Open on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday it’s truly a treat for the tastebuds.“

“This place is GREAT!!! Decided to attend their Valentine’s Day brunch with karaoke and it was not only a great time but the food was absolutely delicious !! The owner and staff were very sweet and made my friends and I feel very good with the attentiveness. The staff was also very enthusiastic and cheered us on as we sang! “Wow! Was totally surprised as a first time visitor as it’s a pizza front and not a big place ! However my husband and I were part of a 14 person party tonight’s a mix diet of them individuals in attendance from vegan vegetarian and finicky and all American diet ! we had appetizers of mussels the sauce was medium and those that ate them raved about them the garlic knots were a perfect blend of butter and garlic the rice balls moist and cheesy and the calamari so tender it was excellent the small soups were a meal in its self! And the main dishes from vegan, italian, build your own, fish , meat and pasta entrees to empanadas each dish was a culinary delight so fresh tasty and the portions huge! Our group was extremely happy with their choices so much food for the price which was very reasonable! We made sure we met the chef and complimented him! Our waitress Rosa was friendly accommodating and always on top of our tables to ensure everyone’s needs were met and everyone was enjoying our dinner experience truly an asset to the business and her assistant Angel just as excellent! This place is truly a gem and perfect for the vegan and non vegan palate what a find tight in our own neighborhood my family will definitely be back! Kudos to the owners and the chef and their wonderful friendly staff! You will definitely be a regular at this place once you go! And by the way the take out was very busy too!“

“First time from here tonight.Searched empanadas and this popped up on Uber Eats. Searched the different kinds and was like sold. I’m ordering. Many to choose from but tried these tonight. Philly cheese steak ,lasagna,chicken & corn, spinach & cheese, beef,pepperoni & cheese Tell you was pretty tasty. Was little greasy on spinach & cheese but let sit for a few and was awesome. Have to say I was surprised of the flavors. Very tasty. Will definitely order again. Almost forgot. Saw little red dots on food. Assuming coded to know which ones are which. Interesting....“

“Wow what a pleasure eating at Gusto y Sabor. Pleasant and polite attentive staff. Food was delicious. Great outdoor dining experience. The freshly made lemonades are a must. My new favorite salad with skirt steak and shrimp was delicious. Empanadas were outstanding with the perfect (aji) hot sauce. My wife and daughter totally enjoyed their traditional Bandeja Paisas. “The Morcilla was excellent. I’d only had Irish Blood Sausage before, and this compares to the texture but the flavor is completely different. I’d highly recommend trying it out!

The Patacon had a lot of different flavors going on that all worked well together. The pineapple mayo and pink sauce really stood out well and complimented the steak. I’m not sure what type of cheese was used, but it was fantastic. Very mild but rounded out of the other flavors nicely.“
