“On vacation as a joke, we searched for "the worst bar near me" which led us to this amazing little place. We had the absolute best food! The waitstaff was attentive, fun, and helpful. Prices & portions were fair. The whole vibe of the area was low-key & pleasant with the dog-friendly patio, next door local shops, and other patrons. If these Wisconsintes find ourselves in Jersey City again, we will absolutely make a dedicated return to the Wurstbar!“

“We had a surprise 30th Bday for my son at Bolero on Sunday, November 30th. Montana helped us with our scheduling and planning. She was awesome! The upstairs room is a perfect place to have a party. The vibe is so cool and the room is just perfect for a big party. Our bartender was Amanda, who was terrific! She was there to help carry all the heavy stuff up the stairs and made my guests feel welcome. We love her! Thanks to everyone at Bolero, who made this day so special! Can't wait to go back!“

“I just wanted to give our waiter VINCENT !!! The biggest applause !!! Within the first few minutes on approach the expectations were defenitley met... Only downside of the experience was such a small menu usually people expect big plates. The portion sizes were honestly perfect to split between one other person if not just to have for yourself. My boyfriend and I had the Porter house 40oz cooked medium that was a Valentine's Day special and it came with this amazing Block of 1000 layer potato and it was probably one of the best french Frye ... I've ever had lol! They had an amazing wine selection for such a good price for being so close to the city !!! Most expensive bottle was probably $120 most of them average between 65 to 72$ . We also ordered the scallops. The oysters were a little bit warm upon arrival which was a disappointment because that's what was the main reason why we came there for but we were definitely enlightened to have our taste buds experienced to other varieties of the menu and the escargot which is an old Italian recipe which not many restaurants know how to make or prepare but the fried wontons we had absolutely delicious with the sauce they had at the bottom of the plate. It was like the perfect bean and nutty texture. Good job guys !“

Added chilli cheese fries and their famous Chopped Cheese.\nEven though it was very early so there wasn't many people there the staff immediately made us feel like home. They were very friendly, attentive and efficient.\nThe quality of the food was excellent. Everything properly made, simple... perfect! They don't try to disguise anything nor make it fancier than it should be. “We really enjoy our xmas parties there as the am ambiance is so beautiful the food is good too but this year the service wasn’t as good as other years. When we asked for specific drink our server said she will check but never came back to tell us. Before we left we stopped by the bar to ask for that specific beverage and they had it.“
