“Food was surprisingly good. Had the sliders and the prosciutte, mozzarella, bread appetizers along with prosecco.

Service however is just ok to slow. They brought out the dishes but forgot platters. They also never came back for the check. We had to find someone to give us the check.“

“Wanted to share a positive review. Came in during a quiet lunch hour looking for a spot to grab food and take a call. There are a few small booths to the side with power outlets, and service was quick and efficient. I had the bucati cacio e pepe with meatballs and it was great. Thank you for the gracious service and cozy atmosphere!“

“I went at an unusual time, to late for lunch and to early for dinner. The service was excellent and my chicken piccata was wonderful, the portion was generous. Next time I will try the seafood risotto. The prices seemed far and I will definitely be back.“

“First time here. Great experience. We got there right at 5 pm when they opened on a Saturday. Got table right away. 20 mins later place was packed with long wait. Wait staff was awesome. Annette stopped by our table numerous times and was fun to talk too and welcoming. Shrimp beeps were our favorite. Eggplant was awesome. Garlic pasta and savoy chicken were so tasty. Could not have been more pleased. Great prices too. Old school atmosphere that is fun to experience. But it’s not a place you can linger, you eat and go. Highly recommend for good simple Italian food.“

“We had a 40th Birthday Party in the private room on Saturday night. It was absolutely fantastic. The room is beautiful ,they had it set up as we discussed. The service was exemplary. FOOD was amazing. We have been enjoying Forte since they opened. I would highly recommend this venue for any private party.“

I visited here yesterday for the first time since the makeover, and I really like the new look. Not only that, the service was awesome! I am back today for the Wednesday special....get any double for the price of a single! I am a lifetime customer!!!“

This diner has been in the neighborhood and in the same family for generations and is a community staple in a historic neighborhood - makes my whole week every time I visit! “Pizza is amazing. The sauce is so so so good. But my order receipt shows 2 two liters of soda but when they showed up with one it only showed one. Kinda hard when traveling. Just hoping I’m charged amount on receipt that was dropped off. But amazing pizza from a Chicago boy.“
