“I was looking for a place to hold a small(er) afternoon party for about 60 friends & family members, and McQ’s came highly recommended for great food, wonderful atmosphere, and top notch service. They did not disappoint. The general manager, Alexis was a pleasure to work with, and was helpful with menu choices, and whatever additional asks I had. (A table area for a display, AV hook-up for a slide presentation, and complimentary drink “coupons” for my guests. The entire staff (including the kitchen) was friendly, and determined to make this a fun (and delicious) event. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I give them 5 stars 🌟 out of 5.“

“On Friday, I came across an article that this was voted number one in Sussex County New Jersey. I was intrigued. I love Pizza so much; unfortunately, for many years I had no desire going out for pizza because everywhere I went It was terrible. I’m born and raised in Milford, PA in Pike county. I fell in love with L&B’s in Brooklyn; but it’s been 17 years since I’ve been there last. Friday night I ordered the presto pizza two slices of it, and I fell in love after the first bite. The waitress and I’m sorry I forgot her name asked me what I thought and I loved it. It was incredible. My mission now is to try every pizza on the menu. That’s my goal finishing out 2025 into 2026 thank you thank you thank you. You have gained new customers, my husband and I. 💚🤍❤️“

“We had our rehearsal dinner for our wedding at The Windlass and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. We were having a Christmas wedding and the Windlass was decorated so nicely for the holidays! It fit the vibe perfectly! Donna helped us plan our dinner every step of the way, promptly helping us with any questions we had. The waitstaff was excellent, food was delicious, and the lakefront location was gorgeous! We highly recommend the Windlass for any dinner party you may be having or even just a night out. We’ve also eaten at the restaurant on a normal night and had a great experience as well!“

“We ate at Black Forest Inn tonight. We did not realize a reservation was needed tonight as we are not in area. We were still accommodated by a friendly staff, service was very efficient, quick with refill with drinks. I love the decor of the restaurant. The experience is great. Food is amazingly. We did make reservations to return Dec 13 for the German Christmas event.“

“Took my family including my mom with her Rollator. This was her first time at the inn and we were hoping to get the best views of the beautiful mountains and deer and we did!!! The staff especially Lee and our waitress were both very accommodating and treated us like family. It was a very special day and absolutely perfect in every way! “I ordered from Carlos' for the first time through DoorDash. I had the best Pasta Primavera in cream sauce ever!! The veggies were perfectly cooked. Not an onion or bell pepper, which I was grateful for. Broccoli, sliced carrots, peas and fresh mushrooms. Great portion too!“
