“A wonderful place with a creative menu. Very unique flavors. Try as many items as you can as each one is special. We went in a group and we were able to share and taste a variety of items. A very casual chic place, you don’t have dress up 😊. They had some original cocktails, adding a twist to the traditional ones. Definitely must visit. Be aware, you will need to make a reservation well in advance. They are popular and hard to get in.“

“The biryani was delicious! I ordered the dum biryani, and the portion was perfect for one person. The place is quite small and a bit cramped, and there’s no wash basin available, so you’ll need to use wet wipes. Despite that, the food and service were really good overall.“

“Really want to give them a perfect 5, but their service was painfully slow, consistent with what many Yelpers have mentioned on their reviews. Getting reservations was a breeze, and the layout remains the same at this place, what was formerly Priyanka Chopra's failed venture - Sona.
Katie got us seated and George was our host/waiter - who was pretty difficult to spot throughout our time here.
Now that I am done complaining about the service, lets quickly get to the food which was absolutely fantastic.
What to get? The standout dish of the evening was Jackfruit Ghee Roast ($30) - the most delicious Jackfruit dish I have every had. Creamy, spice balanced, and flavor packed. This with Malabar Parotha was a banger combination.
Market Beets ($20) stood out in small bites, thanks to the delicious walnut chikki, and the smoked mayo sauce with Kolhapuri Chicken Bao was really tasty. Roasted Bombay Corn Ribs ($12) can be skipped, and so can the Biryani Chicken Wings ($16).
Their seasonal cocktail - a Gin & Tonic with cucumber and mint was refreshing. Cocktails overall were enjoyable.
We tried all their desserts which include a pistachio icecream, gulab jamun with coriander, and icecream sandwich. Desserts overall were an absolute letdown and I wouldn't recommend any of them. If you have an absolute sugar craving, go with icecream sandwich!
If they figure out their service staffing, I see no reason why Passerine can't be a New York favorite. With a gifted chef who balances flavor so well, the core ingredient of this restaurant is up to the mark!“

“Rudra Indian Bistro on Cedar Lane is authentic as it gets. We have been here so many times and will always keep coming back because the food is high quality, healthy, and very delicious. We always start with the House Salad which is a great way to begin your meal. The Tandoori chicken is so juicy and succulent, and the Lamb Korma is one of our favorites. I highly recommend Rudra Indian Bistro! One of the best restaurants of Teaneck...“

“Cozy, intimate atmosphere. The service and presentation were wonderful. We had Tamarind Scallops and Chili Crab for appetizers. The crab was phenomenal and my favorite of all the dishes we ordered. For mains, we had Zameen Doz and Punjabi Tikhe Kebab with Malai Naan. The Dover sole was delicious and the pasanda sauce perfect for dipping the naan. The chicken was tender, juicy and so good! We were celebrating a friend’s birthday and were treated to a birthday dessert by our very attentive and kind waiter.“

“BEST INDIAN FOOD I EVER HAD. Wish I was closer to Hoboken so I can come here more often.
This place is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The menu is a perfect balance of traditional flavors and modern twists — every dish we tried was bursting with freshness and expertly spiced.
The service was impeccable: attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Drinks were crafted beautifully, complementing the food perfectly.
Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner, a night out with friends, or a special celebration, Empyrean delivers an unforgettable experience. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine with a contemporary flair!“

“We love a well-designed Indian restaurant. This one looks great, and is very comfortable with excellent service. I even enjoyed their digital menu which opens like a book. We had 3 small plates, and two of them were good. The third was a very succulent chicken, but the sauce that directs the flavor was off. That was disappointing. We will try it again, and explore more options.“

“Musaafer delivers an exceptional culinary journey, offering some of the finest desi cuisine my brother and I have experienced. We began with the chicken kebabs, followed by the signature butter chicken experience, paneer rizala, and garlic naan. Each dish was executed with precision and depth. The butter chicken experience is essential, rich and indulgent without being heavy. For those drawn to nuanced, unexpected flavors, the paneer rizala is a standout: the subtle infusion of rose petals lends a delicate floral note that transforms a familiar paneer preparation into something truly transportive. Every bite feels intentional, refined, and unforgettable.“

“Stopped by Chote Miya for a quick snack while walking through Chelsea Market and it didn’t disappoint!
We tried the Pani Puri, and it was excellent—the puris were perfectly crisp, and the flavors were spot on. Also had the kulfi which was pretty good as well. It’s a great spot to grab an authentic bite to eat while exploring the market.
They also have a fantastic selection of Indian snacks for sale to take home, which is a nice bonus. Definitely a solid choice for anyone craving street food flavors in a fun atmosphere“

“This place was great, if you look at my profile it may see like I only leave good reviews but it’s because I usually only review if the place stood out and this place is one of them. Such a fun a delicious new twist on Indian food. The quality and quantity of the food was great for the price and their homemade mango lassi is delicious. Also got to speak with the owner briefly and he was very friendly. If you are craving Indian but want to try something a little different I would definitely check this place out“

“Absolutely amazing. They're a family owned restaurant so I understand its hard with these times and coronavirus. Its hard to find good Indian food and I must say, I've been coming here for more than 20 years and I still will be coming more and more! Out of all the restaurants in parsippany & Rt 46, I specially come down to Wayne to eat this amazing food. my fav is the sag panir, malai kofta, and vegetable biryani. I love the one waitress and how she explained the spice levels according to chiptole and taco bell! the uncle who is the owner always greets everyone like hes known them for years. Like we are family, its heart warming since i dont live with my family. Amazing food, amazing people and amazing prices!“

“Pondicherry Perfection! Forget fancy restaurants! The best dosas in NYC are coming from this unassuming food truck, and the Pondicherry Crepe is an absolute must-try!
Let's talk about the crepe itself – perfectly crispy, yet tender, with that signature dosa tang. BUT, the real magic is inside. The Pondicherry Crepe is a flavor bomb: a delightful blend of spices, vegetables, and a certain je ne sais quoi that transports you straight to India. It's complex, satisfying, and utterly addictive.
Beyond the incredible food, the team running this truck is phenomenal. They are so passionate about their food, eager to share their knowledge, and incredibly kind. Their enthusiasm is infectious, making the whole experience even better. You can tell they put their heart and soul into every single dosa they create.
Seriously, seek out this food truck. Order the Pondicherry Crepe. Prepare for a flavor adventure. The best dosas in NYC, served by the best team – it doesn't get better than this!“

“I still dream of the day they'll bring back gunpowder potatoes. I tried their spicy cauliflower in the spring, but it just wasn't the same. Their food can be a little inconsistent, but my go-to has been the salmon bowl which has a nice crispy salmon and great flavor.“

“I’ve gotten take-out from the Bayleaf a few times, and it was always excellent! The food is never bland or not spicy enough. I finally went to dine in tonight with my friend. For being a Tuesday night the service was very good, and there was enough people that it didn’t feel completely empty. I want to try everything on their menu because I know it will all be good!“
