“Lovely neighborhood diner.
The food is really good and much better than most of the diners in hudson county. The price point is amazing too!
Would highly recommend to go visit this place to anyone who's reading this!!“

“This is one of my new favorite spots. Ima start off with the negative because it’ll be a lot shorter than the good. The only bad thing is that you got to walk a lil bit to get to it so if you aren’t able bodied it might take you a minute to get over but it is so worth it. The good things about this place is everything ngl. The staff are sweethearts, we never got the name of the two ladies but one of them started up a chat with my sister about her hair and she was so genuine. I really wanted to explore the menu so I got a shot of espresso, a chicken empanada, a steak sandwich and my sister had a grilled chicken sandwich. I spent a lil over $20 with tip and it was worth every penny. Sandwiches flavors were balanced and tasted great, bread was nice and soft but not too soft. The chicken empanada was nice and crispy and the chicken was seasoned well. Lastly the most important thing for a coffee spot, the Espresso shot was strong and tasty. Will def be coming back here with more people. I would’ve added photos but I thought to take the photos when I was already half way done my bad. Menu also had food options for pets!“

“Stopped by on a lazy Sunday afternoon and ended up enjoying one of the most comforting meals I’ve had in a while. The tortilla soup completely stole the show — rich, flavorful, perfectly thick, and packed with crispy blue corn tortilla pieces in every bite. Honestly wished they had a bigger bowl because it disappeared fast.
Tried the bean & epazote tetelas on the side and they paired so well with the soup. Also shared the black bean avocado tlayudita and chilaquiles — both fresh, satisfying, and full of flavor. The chilaquiles do get a bit pricey once you add the extras, but the taste made it worth it for us.
Came around 2 PM on a Sunday and still found outdoor seating easily, which made the whole experience feel relaxed and unhurried. Great food, warm atmosphere, and one of those places you leave already thinking about coming back to.“

“Loved every dish- fluke with black tea, mint and peach(who knew raw fish and fruit went so well together?), amazing grilled artichokes and grilled eggplant. Barely touched my pasta with preserved lemon because I was full, but it was delicious. My daughter’s burger was iconic. The Platonic ideal of hamburgers. Coffee was also delicious. If we had not made a plan to go to La Cabral for dessert and more coffee, I am sure dessert would have been equally excellent.Service was excellent and our waitress was knowledgeable and interested in the food. The fluke reminded me of the first time I went to USC in 1988. I had a plate with raw marinated tuna, raw salmon and raw scallops. The little heaps of fish were so pretty on the plate with their contrasting colors.“

“I went there for breakfast on a Thursday morning. The croque madame was perfection! Great service, good vibe. Be aware that you have to pay for each cup of coffee (vs. getting free refills, which is typical for breakfast service at most restaurants). The upside is the coffee is fantastic and relatively inexpensive for NYC.“

The Roast Beef Tartine was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Great coffee, friendly service, and an overall very enjoyable spot in New York. Definitely a place we’d love to visit again.”“

“What a delightful little breakfast/brunch place!!! We went here straight from the airport on our way into town, luggage and all, and it was perfect! We sat in the little outside area with the fans because the A/C was broken inside. My mom ordered the Grey Dog’s Breakfast with her eggs scrambled, French toast, and bacon, and it’s served with home fries. I ordered the egg and cheese croissant minus the parsley (not my fave) and added bacon. I’m picky about my home fries, so the server offered me french fries instead. We had exactly zero complaints about our meal. The portions are big, the eggs and bacon were cooked perfectly, and the French toast had this sweet butter with it that I can’t even compare to anything because it was so unique and delicious. The home fries ended up being DELICIOUS. The French fries were also good. I enjoyed the seasoning on them as well. I’m not a big fan of the thing shoe string fries, but these were good! The three employees we encountered were all very friendly and I would be more than happy to eat here again any time.“

“We came here for dessert after having brunch at a different restaurant. The wait was about 50 minutes without a reservation for seating at the bar. For the future I will definitely be making a reservation as we walked the whole store in about 15 mins. The dessert was amazing and so was the Cocopolitan. My favorite was the Tiramisu 'Montenapoleone' we also ordered the Strawberry Charlotte and the Chocolate Monogram. Will definitely be going back!“

“This cafe is so lovely. I had the pleasure of Desi and Aida assisting me with my order. They made the most delicious soy chai with amazing foam. Their desserts were amazing as well. It was refreshing to be greeted with such positive and friendly energy in New York. I can't wait to come back when I am in the area. Make sure to come to this cafe if you want a lovely experience and great food and drinks!“

“We were looking for a healthier breakfast option and tried Vale’s omelette and the egg white frittata. Both were delicious and surprisingly satisfying (we usually opt for heavier options). The cappuccino was perfectly balanced smooth and not too strong. The cafe itself is kind of small, but still a great atmosphere with warm and inviting staff.“

“Perfect 5 star review. Since the moment I ented I only encountered great customer service, I had a great talk with one of the workers and he served me a pink lemonade and a cookie. Even though the order was simple, the execution and taste left a lasting impression. The atmosphere felt cozy and sweet. Will definitely come back again!“

“Great coffee, great atmosphere and great service. The barista was very friendly and authentic. They had everything I love in a coffee shop; computer charging areas, all different types of coffee from espresso to drip to cold brew. Cold brew was smooth and flavorful. She talked me into the croissant and it was worth it! She’s say it’s baked fresh and it tasted like it. Thanks for the great experience.“

“Absolutely loved this café! The ambience is warm, cozy, and beautifully designed with elegant lighting, greenery, and a very relaxing vibe. Had brunch and coffee here, and everything was fresh, delicious, and perfectly made. The atmosphere feels calm yet lively — the kind of place where you can sit for hours and enjoy good conversations.
The aesthetic interior, soft lighting, and overall good vibes make this café feel extra special. The staff were welcoming, and the whole experience felt comforting and peaceful. “This was our first time eating at Tartinery. There are several items to choose from on the menu. I ordered the Roast Beef Tartine and a chocolate chip cookie. Both were absolutely delicious. “The perfect place to host a birthday dinner with close ones!
I stumbled upon this place mid Febraury as I looked to celebrate my big 30. Fumio, the owner, was incredibly kind and responsive, helping me plan out the event and recommending the best dishes/platters for a group of about 15 people. The space has a very calm and artsy vibe to it, and I love the floor seating style which allowed for a much more flowy/relaxed vibe to the evening. The drinks were absolutely superb, and Fumio even let me play my own music playlist and have a projector with a photo slideshow in the background. This was such a memorable and lovely evening - big thanks to Fumio and his wife, Miho, for making this possibe. I cannot wait to come back one day for a drink and meal!“

“The food is absolutely fabulous. It is presented beautifully. We were going to go to the place next door, but due to the wait there, we ended up at Good Thanks. Such a delightful mistake. So much so that we came down again all the way from East Harlem to come back once more before the end of our trip. This is a must visit.“

“Wow. I have to say that I found this place on a whim working around the area, and this place is a gem! Want to thank my girl, Naya, for being sweet for getting my food done near closing. Plus major compliments to the Chef because my chickgrilla sandwich was everything I imagined it to be—coming from someone who doesn’t prefer grilled chicken on her sandwiches, the chickgrilla was very flavorful and moist (not soggy tho!!!). The goat cheese was a perfect compliment and not overpowering at all. I literally ate my sandwich on the commute back home 😂 Looking forward to coming back and trying the others~ yummy 🥪“

“I decided to try a new coffee spot today and walked into Tenpa’s. I ordered a 16oz iced latte with almond milk and raspberry flavoring. I should’ve taken a picture before I mixed it all up because it was pretty and layered. The raspberry flavoring isn’t very strong, but the quality of the coffee is REALLY good. You can tell it’s good just by the color of it, that perfect toasty brown. Not too milky :)
These guys are fast and efficient! Don’t be worried about a line because it’s moving FAST. The employees are nice and pleasant and everyone’s smiling. There’s definitely regulars that go in because the person making the drinks was calling out their orders before they even ordered them lol the pastries looked delicious so I’ll be ordering one next time I go in. There’s some nice seating and looks like people enjoy going in there to work. I was in and out of there in less than 5min. Looking forward to another visit :)“

“Great matcha ice cream! The spot is super tiny with just one table where you sit and enjoy your dessert. It's probably good for a grabbing a cone and going. Matches super concentrated, perfect color. It's nested inside a kyuramen spot!“
“Miss Barbs is a Crown Heights establishment of the highest degree.
Their coffee and pastries are my favorites in the area, and it's a great space to hang out or work.
All the staff is super friendly and the owners are just the best.
My favorite thing about Miss Barbs is how integrated they are with the community. They run events all the time, and they're all super fun, like the spelling bee or the trash pick-up days or the little markets.
They've also got great vibes at night and it's an awesome place to get a glass of wine or two. Karaoke is my favorite thing ever and sometimes they've got a karaoke night. You can check their insta for the calendar of events.
Miss Barbs has provided me with the best customer experience I've ever had, and I'm super lucky to live nearby!“

“Nice spot in the neighborhood, the sushi burrito is definitely worth the price. As I got the shrimp tempura and it filled me with just one half of the burrito and had the other half remaining. The passion fruit tea with lychee jelly was great choice.
They also have quite a few things you can purchase plus an arcade machine towards the back by the seating.“
