I live about 20 minutes away and work Monday through Friday, so I couldn’t make a special trip back. Today I happened to be in the area after stopping at Walmart, so I went to the restaurant and explained what had happened.
The manager didn’t hesitate or question me. They immediately replaced the missing chicken, which I really appreciated. I felt respected and trusted as a customer.
I had actually planned to buy another meal so I could return the extra fries that were mistakenly included in my previous order. However, the replacement chicken came with fries again, so there wasn’t really a way to return them. The manager even smiled and joked, “You can have another free fries!” That small moment made me smile.
