The Ghormeh Sabzi, Koobideh, Joojeh Kebab, and even the Ashe Reshteh tasted so authentic. Everything was perfectly seasoned, fresh, and full of love. The restaurant feels cozy with warm, tasteful decor. The husband and wife who own and run the restaurant are also incredibly kind and welcoming. Made with fresh meat (not frozen formed patty) - not sure whst the English would be but I know it in Yiddish as “hockfleish.” The BBQ sauce added to the taste of the meat without being overpowering and the onion, pickle, lettuce and the challah bun were all extremely fresh. Lamb Adana kababs were very authentic and really tasty I will suggest it as a must have if you like Mediterranean food. “I ordered a yeero with Greek fries, a dessert, and smoothies from Summit Greek Grill using UberEats. The food arrived fresh and flavorful (I adore the hint of lemon and the feta cheese for the Greek fries!). Unfortunately, our driver forgot our smoothies. I was writing it off as a loss with plans to contact Uber, when I received a phone call from the manager of the restaurant, Ali. He was emphatic that he wanted to make things right by us, took my name and phone number, and personally delivered the drinks to my door. Ali made sure to call us along the way, letting me know he closed the restaurant to bring my food. My boyfriend tried to offer him a tip as a thank you, but he denied it and even called me back to apologize that my boyfriend ran out in the cold without a jacket. I will most certainly be frequenting this restaurant often, both for the amazing food and stellar customer service! Oompah! 🇬🇷“

“We visited the New Brunswick, NJ location on March 11,2025 around 8:30pm and must say we are extremely disappointed with the service. Here’s our saga: we ordered chicken Kakab platter in person and asked the person behind the counter to put the olives, turnips and pickle on the side. It was shocking to hear that the guy told me that I have to pay extra. I told him again I am not asking for anything extra but just that I need my olives, pickand turnip which is on top to Be put in the side he reiterated and said that it will be an extra charge. The manager had put in a new policy in place. Is there any checks and balances in place to control this nonsense This is so bizarre….let me ask you this …. If I go to a burger joint and ask them for fries in a separate plate (again not extra) would they ask me for more money? What’s going on Mamouns? Not expecting from you guys…. Utter disgrace…. We have been your patrons since last 20 years ….. its makes us think twice if we really want to go to Mamouns again. This is totally unacceptable.“

For my main course, I had the chicken souvlaki with lemon potatoes, which was delicious and perfectly seasoned. “We've enjoyed their lunches and their dinners. We love their salad- fresh tasty cucumbers, tomatoes and ? that makes it great. We like their lentil soup. We adore the special Noni Afghan (or Nan, a staple, long, oval flatbread with a chewy interior and crusty exterior). We like the choice of rice (my favorite is weird brown long rice with carrots and raisins) We have tried most of the meat choice- all are delicious. 3 very different sauces are fun - the white yogurt sauce makes everything tastes great. The service is always friendly, never rushed. We enjoy coming to Silk Road often.“
