“One of the best Pho I've had in Jersey. The beef combo pho is excellent. The tendon is so soft it melts in your mouth. The grilled pork chop was ok. Nothing to write home about. If it came with garlic rice and egg it would be better. Just prepare for a long wait if coming here during busy time. Seems to be a famous place.“

“Darke Pines is easily one of my favorite spots to grab a sandwich in Jersey City. Honestly, I haven't had a bad sandwich from these guys. The staff there is always super friendly and willing to help with any questions. Pretty much everything is made in house, and what isn't is top quality. They have a seasonal list of sandwiches and periodic specials (the Cuban! The heirloom tomato sandwich! The Chicago beef!) In addition to the sandwiches, they're a full butcher shop that also sells gourmet goods. I bought burgers from them for 4th of July and they were out of this world. If you live in JC and haven't been here, go. If you're not from JC make a trip.“

Dinner companion Eileen orders the shrimp in green sauce every time and is in heaven. “Let me share my experience with this restaurant being it’s my first time eating here. To start off the people are very pleasant and greeted me with a smile and a warm welcome. So there is no issue there ! The food was also decent , very tasty and everything was fresh. Some things that they can improve on is a little less salt ( msg) and they also had cinnamon in the egg roll which was sort of odd. But overall it was a good place to eat.“

“I'm in NJ for a business trip I wanted a place I could get an itemized receipt. They do have them available! Also some of the best crab Rangoons I've had in a long time! The Chicken and broccoli was perfectly cooked. The pork fried rice isnt dry at all! Honestly my new favorite Chinese take out! To bad I don't live here!“
