“Came here with a group of friends and had a really good hot pot meal.

The seasonal golden broth was the standout for me. It had a light pickled pepper flavor with a chicken broth base and wasn’t too spicy. The classic original broth was also flavorful and much better than a plain clear soup.

We ordered a mix of beef, lamb, shrimp paste, tripe, and other meats. Everything was fresh and the portions were generous.

We also had plenty of vegetables and noodles, including Chinese yam, pumpkin, winter melon, mushrooms, tofu, napa cabbage, and wide noodles. The pumpkin was especially good in the broth.

The restaurant feels spacious and polished, and it works really well for groups. Portions are generous, ingredients are fresh, and it’s easy to leave very full.“

“This is one of my favorite places! The sandwiches and soups are always fresh and delicious, the restaurant is clean, and the staff are consistently friendly and welcoming.

A special shoutout to Diego, the manager. He's always on the floor, working hard and making sure everyone has a great experience. He's incredibly helpful and truly cares about both the customers and the team.

And don't leave without trying the cookies and pastries—they're absolutely delicious! I highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and excellent service.“

“Chola is easily the best Indian restaurant in all of Manhattan and Northern Jersey. My wife and I drive in bi-weekly for their awesome food and ever changing menu. “Solid sushi place with fresh fish and good service. Menu is not as extensive as at other sushi restaurants but enough of the standard option to appease the palate. Prices are reasonable for the area and the portion of food served. I went on a Friday evening around 7pm and the place was not crowded nor was there a wait for a table.“

“This is such a lovely spot. I first tried this spot many years ago. There used to be a Polish restaurant one block south of here, Neptune. We would go there and then come to brodo and grab a broth to go, often for my dad in the VA hospital up on 23 St. few places would sell you just broth.

I absolutely love the Hearth broth and you can add the ginger turmeric, which I highly recommend. I also ordered and tried the beef broth with ginger and turmeric, it was fine. Oddly enough, the hearth had a richer, beefier flavor than the beef did. It’s just a heartier flavor, I highly recommend it. I could easily pop over to enjoy a cup of broth in place of my daily coffee, it’s a similarly comfortable cup that travels well.“

“Appetizers: I got the shishito peppers. They were good. Next time I would get it without the sauce because the sauce was a little too sweet for me. Tried the crispy rice for the first time and was very impressed.

I also got the salmon avocado roll and the spicy tuna. These were delicious. The salmon was super fresh and buttery.

I had such a wonderful experience at Sao Mai in Manhattan. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere felt warm, welcoming, and authentic. The food was absolutely delicious—fresh, flavorful, beautifully prepared, and full of the wonderful flavors that make Vietnamese cuisine so special.

The service was also excellent. Everyone was attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely welcomed. It was the kind of experience where you can relax, enjoy your meal, and appreciate the care that goes into both the food and the hospitality.

5/25: Great, old school Chinese restaurant. Enter the basement restaurant via the stairs. Cash only. Fast service. Excellent menu with reasonable prices. Everything we tried was delicious, including steamed dumplings, fried dumplings, duck with flat noodles, and Szechuan shrimp. Water and hot tea free. Soft drinks are available for purchase. No alcohol. ATM on-site.“

“Simplicity done right. The soup is an ode of love to pork. The broth is delicate and light but has deep pork flavor. I could see how some people would think it’s bland though. Don’t expect big punchy flavors.

The texture of the rice is delightful and I normally don’t like short grain rice. The slices of pork meat itself is tender, not too fatty. There doesn’t seem to be much pork at first glance but there’s like 8 slices. The kimchi is bright and fresh. The gochuji chili paste is not that spicy and is both fresh and funky at the same time.

The kimchi mandoo is delicious, I like that the filling is tofu instead of meat. However, I’m not sure that $13 is worth it for 4 pieces.

We came on a Thursday at 11am and there was no wait. A line formed around 11:45. Would come back and order the soup again.“

Let's see.I was walking around looking for a place to eat and saw this deli , mind you that when you see a line outside a deli and customers willing wait in the cold for food , you know the food is going to be off the hook ! In line a sweet man was telling the history of the deli and how is the best town and anything I choose will definitely make me happy, another customer arrives and tells me to how much he loves it ! I knew I had found a gem that needs to be shared , because customer's are raving for it , the employees and owner sweetest guy very patient in waiting for me to decide what I wanted I even bought few things brought from Italy while I waited for My delicious 🤤 Little Nicky sandwich 🥪 which not only is so big I ate it for lunch and dinner 🍽️ is the best sandwich I've had in years ! “I came here on a Saturday around 1:30 PM and was able to snag a seat at the counter! I ordered the Mera Mera dipping soba and cucumber salad, and the food came out pretty quickly. The cucumber salad was refreshing and crunchy, while the soba was served piping hot! The dipping broth sits over a flame, keeping it hot throughout the meal. The soba noodles were chewy with a nice al dente bite, and the broth was packed with umami flavor. My only wish was that there was more meat in the broth, but overall, it was a delicious meal! You can also add more toppings to the broth, extra charge.
