“Food Baby donuts are bringing me out of review writing retirement! I want to make sure to spread the word so Food Baby can get a storefront and we won't have to wait a week to get some of this heart-shaped yumminess! The week I noticed Food Baby the flavors were all fruit-infused. Grapefruit. Strawberry. Blueberry. Cherry. Peach. Here's what I tried...The Old Fashioned: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, glazed and grapefruit infused. Not too sweet, nothing artificial, smelled amazing. Definitely my favorite. These are like donuts from my childhood. Glad I got two of these to share. So good. The Classic frosted: soft inside and out, liberally covered in all natural frosting (no food dyes here) I picked Strawberry Oat Milk and Blueberry Oat Milk. Yum. The Stuffed Classic: their version of a jelly donut. I got the Strawberry and the jelly inside was rolled into the dough so nothing squirted out as you ate. Delicately covered in sugar. Absolutely delicious and another fave. I did share this box (with non-vegans, and they loved them too!) but I'm excited to order again and have some all to myself. It's probably a good thing (for my pants, ahem) that there isn't a storefront and you do need to think ahead and order online for pickup on Sunday. Watch their Instagram for rotating flavors and events. Pickup was quick, efficient and really friendly. Also, the packaging was just as beautiful as the donuts inside. Too pretty to eat...well, almost :)Enjoy!“

“If you've been around NYC and vegetarian, you have almost definitely heard of Dirt Candy. It's the epitome of vegetarian fine dining in NYC.I will preface my review by stating that I have not grown up in the fine dining realm; there is probably some level of "appreciation" that I lack. That being said, the food here is great. Presentation, creativity, flavor experience are all on point. However, I couldn't justify the price for the food. I think if you are very curious and want to knock it off your bucket list OR you are someone into fine dining then this is perfect. Otherwise, there are restaurants that I think you get much better bang for your buck for in NYC.“

“Kudos to Solera! Service and private seating were top-notch and very personable. Ordered several items from menu and all were delicious! Celebrated granddaughter's 2nd birthday and staff did an amazing job with dessert with candle and song. Traveled from the south and will visit again on next trip to NYC.“

“Another fantastic dinner at PS Kitchen. Highly recommend the Thai Chili wings, crabby cakes and Brussel Sprouts. Our table also had the Linguini Alfredo, Cesar wrap and the Thai Sweet Chili Sandwich. We didn’t like the pretzel bun but otherwise everything was excellent and thoroughly enjoyed. Staff are friendly and we did not feel rushed. Will definitely be coming again and highly recommend.“

“This was a fantastic experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the staff was courteous, engaging, helpful and knowledgeable. We had a party of 3, and ordered 6 dishes. Each dish came out as it was made and each dish was absolutely delicious. A person in our party had a gluten allergy which was no problem and accommodated with ease. We come to NY every year and this will absolutely be a place we revisit again and again! Vegans, vegetarians and omnivores alike will appreciate the dishes and be amazed with the taste! Highly recommended!“

“Amazing place! My brother and I are both vegan and have a ton of allergies and the wait staff was super accommodating. The food is spectacular too - I took 2 animal eaters and a vegetarian to the restaurant and they couldn't tell the difference between the kebabs and meat. We had the "chicken", "beef", and kofta kebabs, along with the "chicken" gyros, "lamb" cigars, and hummus. I was a big fan of all the kebabs, and thought the "chicken" gyros were amazing too. The desserts were also great - highly recommend.Vegetarian options: It's an entirely vegan restaurant.“

“Lunch at abcV is surprisingly good as we didn't expect the plant based food menu. I just wanted to grab some lunch with my wife. It was like stumbling into a secret society where the members wield spatulas instead of swords and are on a valiant quest to elevate plant-based eating from mere sustenance to an art form. They don't just serve food; they serve enlightenment on a platter, with a side of cosmic wisdom and a sprinkle of culinary wizardry. Imagine if a Zen garden and a high-end spa had a love child, and that love child decided to open a restaurant with high vibration foods, balance and beauty, wellness, wisdom, and love? So much love, I feel the urge to hug my waiter (consensually, of course) but my wife said no. It's all designed to nurture not just our personal ecosystems but the planetary one as well. Eating here, I can't help but feel like I'm saving the world, one bite at a time. And the food--it's like each dish has been kissed by Mother Nature herself, then sent to culinary school. Who knew vegetables could be this indulgent? I half-expected the broccoli to levitate off my plate, such was the level of enlightenment it apparently possessed. My wife and I shared a dish that I'm convinced had achieved nirvana, and for a moment, I saw the universe in a grain of quinoa. abcV is an experience that transcends the mere act of eating. It's a culinary journey that promises not just a meal but a shift in consciousness. I left with a newfound appreciation for the humble vegetable. And perhaps, just perhaps, a yearning to nurture my own personal and planetary ecosystem--with a bit more wisdom, love, and a dash of deliciousness.“

“Ever since Village Crown closed I have missed a truly satisfying kosher restaurant...and now that I am vegan the challenge is greater. I had a birthday celebration for a party of seven...on a rainy night the place was warm and welcoming. We put together a tasting menu and all of us were wowed. A "cheese platter" that a cheese lover would savor. Chewy mushroom calamari with a magical aioli, fried artichoke with the lightest coating, pizza from fig, to sausage to wild mudhrooms with a soft chewy crust and deceivingly realistic cheese; pastas from a delicious eggless porkless spagetti carbonara, "squid ink" ravioli that was a stunningly luscious mystery to me. These were the highlights of a memorable dining experience in a charming place.“

“Before I even lived in the neighborhood Jajaja was easily one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. I have brought so many friends here because it is perfect from anywhere to a date night to a chill lunch/dinner to catch up with friends. Their cocktails are amazing especially their version of an espresso martini. All of the staff is so friendly and always make sure you're taken care of at all times. On top of everything and most importantly the food is AMAZING. Although I am not vegan anymore, I still can call this my favorite restaurant because they do everything on their menu so well and it's rare in my experience where vegan food is indistinguishable from non-plant based food and my favorite is the enchiladas mole. Highly recommend!“

“Should not have so much onions in the food. My lunch box comes with 2 pan cakes of suck. I hated them. It's just flour with lots of onions. Most Buddhists don't eat onions and scallions. Salad was fresh. Ambiance good. Quiet with no music.“

“Update from last review- Unfortunately the service has been pretty bad. Service to me is a big part of the overall experience dining out. I have returned several times to give it a chance since the food is good. We always get one particular server Eli who is absolutely terrible and can use customer service training. To get a hello or even a smile is a stretch but worse forgets to bring out the food and by the time he does it’s cold. Today is the last time I’m will be coming here… hopefully the owner will put more attention to the service. Unfortunately, such a beautiful place but you will continue to loose customers if the service doesn’t improve.Old review—-An amazing spot! Vegan or not… you will enjoy! From the ambiance, energy, service and of course food!! James was such a great hosts… so welcoming. Went for brunch and can’t wait to try their dinner options. I’m vegan and it can be challenging finding a good restaurant. I don’t do reviews but had to for this restaurant.. what a gem!“

“Really beautiful space with lovely food and great service. I was expecting a bit more from the food tbh for the price (not sure what though because I have no real complaint but it wasn't spectacular other than the mixed fritter appetizer which was the best tempura I've ever had). “Everything is as delicious as it sounds to be honest! Ran by Koreans, the taste reminds me of my mom’s food but restaurant level quality and aesthetics. They pack their to-go food like a cute little lunch box, a piece of fruit, and a brownie that’s deceptively yummy and chewy/fudgy. Their to/go hot teas are also SO nicely packed. I love their attention to quality in an amazing neighborhood hidden gem.“

“This place is, with out a doubt, the best Acai/Chia pudding place I have ever been to. On top of that, the chia pudding recipe tis shop is using is something distinctly different from other chia pudding I've had. It's blue, and tastes far more awesome than normal chia pudding.I accidentally discovered this little shop while visiting a friend near Montclair. I live in NYC - caught a train to Montclair Bay St station, and wandered up the block from there looking for some treats to share with friends.Jackpot.I don't live near Montclair, and this location is not convenient to me. However, I now go out of my way to visit this shop whenever I'm passing through the nearby train line.Worth it.If you (please) bring boomchia to downtown Brooklyn, I would eat there everyday. As it stands I'll have to settle for once a week.“

“The service was a little slow but we had the whole restaurant to ourselves so no complaints - it was basically a quiet little oasis in the middle of this noisy city. Half of the menu is similar to the one at May Kaidee if you're familiar with that place, the other half is more "fruitarian" although I don't think they define fruitarian as a diet purely based on fruit. The influence is Thai-Indian. Nothing was overly oily or salty which is just what I hope for when I eat out. Portions could be slightly bigger. I'll be back to try more things!“

“The food here was SO GOOD! I am completely dairy free but I went with my boyfriend who eats diary. He and I both were extremely impressed with the food. The dairy substitutes were spot on. All the flavors overall were just well rounded and so good. We got 2 apps, 2 entrees, and 1 desert. We left extremely happily full. Additionally, the server was fantastic! “Easily one of my favorite al vegan spots in Manhattan (and there are plenty to chose from). Went for brunch with non-vegan friends and family and EVERYONE loved it - clean plate club all around. “Imo the best vegetarian restaurant in the city. Great for celebrations like birthdays and getting together with a large group of friends - lighting / artwork has a cool vibe and they have a great cocktail selection. “Had seen this pop up on instagram and looked absolutely amazing, so made a reservation here for my first night in NYC. I am always up to try a 100% gluten free restaurant, especially when it is entirely plant-based since I am dairy free as well! It’s a rare occasion where I can order anything on the menu and the experience did not disappoint. The staff was extremely friendly and despite being very busy, I never felt as if I was kept waiting. I opted for the nachos since I couldn’t remember the last time I was able to order nachos at a restaurant. What arrived was something resembling a work of art–a tower of nachos stacked layer by layer with toppings–guacamole, vegan chorizo - so good!, vegan queso, vegan sour cream, beans, salsa, jalapenos. The portion was way too big just for one person so it’s all that I ordered that evening, even though I had been eyeing the empanadas (which I ended up ordering for lunch a few days later bc I couldn’t get them out of my mind). I’d say they were just okay, but I’m glad I tried them. The nachos definitely take the cake and I would order them again without a doubt. Highly recommend Bar Verde for its friendly service and delicious food!“

The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting, with a beautiful view of the Famous RT.17!!!The standout of my visit was the impeccable service provided by Damire, one of the restaurant’s employees. Damire’s attention to detail and genuine care for my dining experience truly made my visit memorable.
