The view and service are great, but it's noisy as there isn't much to absorb the sound. We ordered focaccia, roasted peppers and pasta. Everything is great and super fresh.“

“I went there with my boyfriend and his father during a trip in NYC and we weren’t disappointed. My boyfriend had the kofta kobab which had a very meaty texture. His father had the wild mushroom kobab and I took the braised "beef". Everything was delicious, including the dessert (ekmek kataifi) which wasn’t too sweet, just perfect 😊“

“Obviously this place isn’t for everyone, but as a biiiig mushroom guy I had always wanted to go here. It’s a bit bittersweet to have gone on its final day of regular dinner service, but at least we made it at all. We tried 5 things (plus the dessert) and everything was interesting. The standouts were the blue oysters, with the most steak-like flavor I’ve experienced in a decade, and the beech mushrooms. The lions mane dumplings and maitake were pretty good, the focaccia was super unique with an excellent donko garlic sauce, and the dessert was nice although maybe porcini mushroom ice cream with sweetened shiitake bits is a slightly odd combo. They quickly welcomed us in with open arms and fresh hot coffee. It was one of the best brunches I've ever had, but what made it even more special was Joey the owner overheard our story, knowing we had a rough morning, and gifting us one of his comfort food cookbooks! The day couldn't have been any better. I can't wait to try one of his delicious Italian recipes this holiday season. I highly recommend the Little Owl. I certainly will be going back in the future!“
