At other sandwich shops, we usually buy a whole sandwich and split it into two meals each. Here, we’ll easily get four meals because of the generous size. We love a good deli sandwich every now and then, and until now, we hadn’t found one where the quality truly matches the price. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend this place to friends!“

I had the drunken fried rice with chicken and shrimp and had a Thai ice tea. this was really good a bit spicy but it was delicious. there staff was also very helpful in helping us understand there menu so we could order. “Few places are as accommodating as the staff here. The menu, although on available digitally, is extensive. Large selection of GF (gluten free) items. You can start with apps, choose from pizza or pasta as an entree. It is BYOB and that can make for a fun evening. They will accommodate to suit taste, we had someone that was sensitive to sodium, they adjusted sted the entree to suit. The place is small, the food tasty and seriously, the service is over the top.“

“This place is excellent. I bought my friend from Japan with his family and was happy to take them to Cornbread for some authentic soul food. Needless to say my friend and his family loved the experience. They were finishing a road trip throughout the US and they thought the food at Cornbread was some of the best they had in their month long journery. The turkey wings were particularly good and I'm saying this as a person who is mostly vegetarian. Service was also excellent with attentive help and the servers were conversational and friendly with my friends and I. Bathrooms were also very clean. I wholeheartedly recommend Cornbread Montclair as a solid business and a great place for delicious Soul Food.“

Oh and there's a small little outside area that's pretty cool as well. Shaquille (hope I spelled it right) was AMAZING! So down-to-earth, friendly, polite, and easy to talk to. She made me the Tumeric latte for me and I all but licked the cup clean. I had the hummus & cucumber on sourdough toast and it was divine. Also, a great option for vegans. I totally recommend this place if you have similar needs or just want to hang out with some friends. I will surely be going back.“
