“The entire staff was super accommodating for my Husband's Birthday! Though we made reservations, we didn't realize we needed to specify “lounge” to hear the amazing in-house band. They offered to seat us at a smaller table immediately or wait wait an hour for another table. Hubby chose to be seated immediately, but we soon learned, it would be too small for the Birthday feast to be ordered. In an effort to make my husband's birthday wish come true “have a delicious meal and listen to jazz music” we played musical chairs before being seating at the best seat in the house...next to the band. Our server, Emma H. was AMAZING, too!!! We have already made two additional reservations and can't wait to return.“

“I ordered for dinner the ribeye steak and onion rings. Cooked medium, the steak was flavorful; I did not need any sauce at all. The place was clean and the staff attentive (it was a Wednesday night).The bill, surprisingly, did not include gratuity or tip. You pay either by card (small charge additional) or cash. The "downsides" are: no parking lot for diners as you park on the sides of the Avenue. There is also no alcohol (wine, beer or cocktails) served. I will bring my family here and recommend to friends.“

“Our first time as we are visiting from out of town. Our server Cesar was so wonderful. Very accommodating and helpful. The food was phenomenal. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and had a charbroiled taste which we loved. We also had the Bavarian pretzels app special which was awesome!!!! Our drinks were also fantastic. This was a great choice for our 10th wedding anniversary. We’re so glad we found it. Highly recommend!!!!!!“

“This place is a hidden gem near EWR (Newark Airport). The owner and his extended family have a number of roles in the biz, and are very welcoming and excited to meet new folks. A taste of Portugese charm, with a focus on the best Bronzino and RibEye you can find outside of the major chains. The wine selection is great, the drinks are poured nice and the food was excellent. IF you have a layover at EWR and time to kill, hop on over. If you live in NYC or in NJ - come try it out. You won't be disappointed.“

“My friends, every family has a picky eater. In mine it's my brother, never have a met someone that is harder to please. In October he wanted to go out for his birthday and he decided on Morton's, we had a wonderful time and the food was very good, but I had bragged to my family about the wonderful time I had with Mr. Henry, so my brother and 2 of my best friends decided to join me last night at Ruth Chris and when I tell you my brother could NOT stop ranting over how absolutely delicious everything was. I have never seen him enjoy a meal that much in our lives, he literally couldn't stop. Being a picky eater, he also does not like to drink nearly as much as I do, but after having talked up Mr. Henry and his smoked old fashioned, both my brother and my buddy wanted to try one and as advertised it was absolutely amazing. He actually enjoyed his cocktail, never ever does he drink anything outside of a crown and coke, because he hates the flavor, but because Mr. Henry knows how to properly craft a cocktail, he actually drank it with no face, no winching like he always does ... It was amazing to watch and hard to describe, you know that kid that never tries anything? That's my 42 year old brother, lol.

Ms. Jennifer came over at one point to say hello and she is an absolute phenomenal GM, very keen eye for details and knows how to keep an establishment very classy. We appreciate you too Ms Jennifer, my entire party says thank you.

Our time was amazing, somehow Mr. Henry and Ms. Jennifer found a way to build on perfection, because everything we had, from the French onion soup to the seared Ahi tuna to the ribeye was absolutely amazing. To build a comfortable environment and vibe for friends and family to really enjoy a wonderful meal and time together is not easy at all but Ms. Jennifer and Mr. Henry make it look effortless. Two true professionals, make no mistake about that.

Our drinks were both the smoked old fashioned and a nutty Irishmen with dessert and when I say Mr. Henry is a master at his craft, there is zero exaggeration. Everyone deserves to try one.

Thank you again sir, you never cease to amaze and you live up to the hype, my friends and family had thought I was telling stories, turns out I was just reporting facts.

“The experience was phenomenal! It was my best friend's birthday and we both love Ruth Chris so it was perfect. The tastemaker dinner is one of the best thing Ruth Chris does, and they do it well. They also gave my friend a small birthday cheesecake on the house with a candle in it! My friend loved that! Ruth Chris really takes the time to make it's patrons feel special. It's all part of the experience. They truly know how to create experiences. My servers were also all wonderful, they were diligent and thoughtful. The representative from Caymus Vineyards was so knowledgeable and friendly. She even gave my friend a lil present. Even though my home base is Jersey City, I will be at the Weehawken restaurant in the future!“
