“Today we had the pleasure of dining at Blue 42 Restaurant and Bar, located at 158 Market St, Elmwood Park, NJ, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The security staff were particularly friendly and helpful, ensuring we felt comfortable and safe throughout our visit.
While our order did take a little longer to arrive than expected, it was truly worth the wait. Each dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. The attention to detail in the preparation was evident, and we thoroughly enjoyed every bite. It’s clear that the chefs at Blue 42 take pride in their culinary creations.
We ended up spending a total of $78, including tips, and I felt that the quality of the food and the overall dining experience justified every penny. The combination of great service and delicious meals makes Blue 42 a restaurant I would happily recommend to others.

“I love a good wine with my meal. That being said outside of a high end restraunt I have been no place in the area where the house sommelier picks the selection of wine like Saints and Scholars. You would have to buy a bottle if even then to get the quality of their house serve alone. I could write a book on the menu, not a bad choice to be found, but I will stop here. If you adore a good glass with a beautiful dinner/ brunch with exceptional service. Look no further.“

“Delicious as always. I went yesterday, with a friend and I got to say, your prices have gone through the roof! I mean doubled by $8-$10 per meal. We also got there at 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon, the dead of August, we wanted a hightop table. We were told that they were reserved and That people would be coming in within the next 45 minutes, and they didn’t wanna have to switch us again. By the time we left at 7:30 there were still 2 high tops available/empty. I’ll still be back because it’s a Broadway but those two things definitely bothered us“

“Now that’s a burger! Best burger in Jersey I’ve had. So big it’s almost impossible to take a full bite but what a dream. The burger patty is juicy and they serve plenty of variations some with Cheetos, jalapeño poppers and even with pepperoni. The wings are just ok but don’t even waste time with that just head for the burgers oh and they have good good fries. 10/10 will definitely come back for more. Meat lovers is a must try.“

The outdoor portion is super chill and a great spot to kick it when the weather is nice, not to mention you can bring your drink out with you if you go for a smoke. It's a little tight inside, but they make up for it elsewhere for sure. Parking can be a little tough but some exercise couldn't hurt.

Parking: The lot is small and street parking is limited. Sometimes you need to park down the street and walk a block or two.“

“HEY, this is from all your street neighbors around you. we all love your food and we would appreciate it if you could PLEASE lower the music decimals that are required by law after 10 pm. We understand you have a business to run but the music is WAY too loud to be playing up until 2:30 in the morning. Some nights it seems IMPOSSIBLE to sleep by how loud the music is. Not to mention Subwoofer speakers in that small space is absolutely NOT needed.Please turn it down.“

“They serve the best tasting Filipino food I have tasted. My husband and I compared them to 4 other Filipino restaurants. We brought my mother and father-in-law here 3/17 and they APPROVE! She is kapampangan so she cooks very well! Their food here taste like her cooking. We highly recommend crispy pata, Kare-kare, bulalo, pakbet, pancit bihon and egg rolls! “Went for a late Birthday dinner for a close friend. The place was empty we were the only customers, not a bad thing since I'm not to keen on social outings due to covid.My food was excellent and so was the service. The staff was attentive. The music was good.The staff had no ? and the place was not as the pictures displayed.About 20 minutes before we left the dj arrived and people started coming in. Overall it wasn't a bad experience but they should be using masks and the appearance should match their pictures.“

“Been going there since I moved to the area in the mid ‘80s. The food is great and the value is outstanding. Nice large portions. Only thing better than the food is the staff. They are friendly and fast! Always a fun day out whether you’re having a family dinner or just watching a game on one of the many TVs. The owner Ray truly has found a winning formula. Can’t wait till my next visit!!!“

“Dope spot good food and drinks but went to watch sports a couple times and was a little disappointed. Big TVs at the bar but the went for size and not quality. That Walmart special was kind of hard to watch. Didn’t help that they have it set to Cool (blue) so it goes with the blue lit décor of the bar, but definitely come back for the DJ though.“
