“This is some of the best Indian food I have ever had. The service wait time isn't long at all and the food is phenomenal. Also the man who served us was a very pleasant man. He was quick to respond to request and attentive. The price is also so affordable in my opinion in light of today's economy.

The atmosphere is cozy. Will definitely be back a third time! The music is pleasant the seating is comfortable. The decor is comfy too.

Ive had vegetarian and seafood here, both are delcious.

“I remember when this location was actually a cuban sandwich joint, then a pizza place that had nice pizza, then it became Spicy Bytes, my girlfriend and I were always so curious about this place but due to the odd weekday hours we never were able to tell if they were open. It was one day a week or two ago that I was walking around with my girlfriend where she suggested we try this place out since we noticed it was opened! Upon entering a young woman welcomed us warmly and showed us the menu, and took a seat. We ordered a Butter Chicken Curry to share and two orders of garlic naan bread, and got the curry at a medium spice level since my girlfriend can't handle spicy stuff at all, and she ADORED IT!

Upon taking her first bite of the butter chicken my girlfriends eyes lit up and widened, it was also her first time trying Indian food so I could tell she was very much hooked. We enjoyed our meal and were asked by the young lady if we needed anything else through out our meal, which I really appreciated. After eating we were both very satisfied and definitely plan on coming back for more. I am surprised they haven't done much with the interior since the last place since it still very much feels like the previous pizza place, but it honestly didn't bother me as this places food is something you should not miss :)“

“This is my favorite south asian restaurant in all of nyc. The ambience is simple, nothing fancy. But the flavors are incredible. The daal makhani is so good, not overly relying on the butter like at many restaurants. The Chana saag is probably my favorite though. The chow mein and momos also excellent. We get the lunch special whenever we can. Also the people who work here are so kind, and provide wonderful service. We look forward to each visit.“

Staring with the complimentary pappadums, fryums and chutney to fantastic goat cheese vadas and samosas for appetizers to entrees and 4 gulag jamuns for dessert - everything was fantastic. One of the few restaurants where they serve enough food that you don't think twice if the food was enough, and you are pleasantly surprised with the check. Great Value for Money.“

“Amazing Authentic Indian Cuisine, we had the goat curry , Chicken Tandoori ( OMG so Fresh!!) , and Shrimp curry all with white rice . Food was tolerant spicy we asked for mild and it was just perfect, food was also cooked to perfection . Food feels very much home made , is not oily. The baingan bharta, chicken curry, and mango curry chicken was pretty good, but be warned the spicy is quite spicy. We also order mango juice and lassi, which were both very refreshing.

“This is the first time we have visited Bornali Cafe. The restaurant seemed very clean and the food tasted great. We tried polao, various Bangladeshi meat dishes, shrimp, parathas, singaras and shrimp. They all tasted pretty authentic. Their vortas seemed pretty good too. In addition, the service was fast. I would rate it 4.8 out of 5. If you are looking for authentic Bangladeshi food, come here. You won't regret. Highly recommended!“
