“I'm late to the party but I'm glad I've arrived. Delicious, special, creative and beautifully made food in a gorgeous space with great energy and people who gladly serve what they proudly make. Not your typical Thai, and thank goodness for that. Pad Thai is the best I've ever had. The shrimp entree is also amazing. The fried rice with crab is incredible. And even if you don't think you have room, the pandan dessert is incredible and will be on your mind for weeks after. If you're like me tho, you'll go back the following week and have it again.“
“Amazing food, awesome staff. Stopped here on the way to Billy's Midway (which is also an amazing place) for some dinner with a friend. We were both amazed by the quality of the food, and how nice the staff was. We will definitely be back when in the area.“
“Looking for something different to eat… you must try Bachs Bistro! The food is delicious! From the whole fried fish to Thai Drunken noodles to the unbelievable pirogies I can’t wait to go back again. Every time we go we order a few different items to try something new. We went for dinner . They are always so kind to give you a sample of the delicious pickled items. The food is fresh made to order not fussy just down home cooking. The atmosphere is relaxed like being in grandmas kitchen. When your hankering for authentic Thai or Polish delicacies, this is the place to go. Reasonably priced for the huge portions. The lunch buffet is a must as well.“
“Wonderful restaurant. Unprepossessing exterior, modest decor, fantastic food. Really, the food was delicious and everything was fresh. We had the pad thai with chicken, the red curry with shrimp, and curry puffs to start. The service was wonderful as well- our waiter was so polite. My friend had never had thai food and I am so glad she went here the first time because she now loves it!“
“If you are looking for homemade Thai food, this hidden gem is the place. They have only been open for a month, but my parents and I are steady customers. The food is delicious, and the chef can tailor the spice level for heat-lovers and milder folks alike. They have an excellent lunch special on weekdays, and the owners are such nice people. I hope they enjoy many years of business.“
“Great take out Thai place in Harlem. I have ordered multiple times from Charm Thai and they have been consistently good. Love the curries, various noodle dishes, and appetizers. The food is hot and fresh, generous veg and meat in curries and noodle dishes, and very authentic flavors. I appreciate their reasonable prices. When I pick up, their staff is gracious and friendly, which makes the experience even better!“
“This place is my new favorite restaurant. My favorite dish is the masa man curry but other dishes like the boat noodles, lan of seafood, and the sweet pepper sauté are amazing. The scenery is amazing and beautiful. The people there are very nice and always get things right.“
“I don’t normally love Thai food but the Red eye chili paste chicken is so good and spicy that I know I will be thinking of this dish for some time. Every ingredient is fresh, the chicken was perfectly tender and moist, and the rice omg it’s so good. You can tell it was prepared with immense care. The one man chef/owner also gave me great recommendations from the menu and tips on how to enjoy the food at home. He is SO sweet. The ambience is so lovely and quaint as well!! ?“
“My friend and I went on a weeknight and it was very busy! I haven't had Thai in years and was not impressed at that time. This restaurant quickly turned all of that around! The Crispy Duck salad was phenomenal and so was the Thai curry chicken dish that I ordered. Beautiful ambience and great attentive service. We sent our compliments to the chef as every thing we ate was absolutely delicious. I haven't been excited to go back to a restaurant in a long time and I would definitely recommend to everyone!!!“
“Tried Thai food for the first time last week. The food at this restaurant was so good that I'm still thinking about it! I tried the pineapple fried rice and mango sticky rice. Both dishes were amazing. The spot itself is vibrant and cozy. The staff were really friendly, seemed to genuinely care about our dining experience. I will definitely be returning!“
“We celebrated a birthday party with a group of 12 people. It was our first time visiting Basil. The service and food is AMAZING! The variety of food (Thai to Indian) as well as Vegan options were perfect. We have few ppl with severe allergies and we had zero issues. We highly recommend it.Dietary restrictions: Vegan and Allergies“
“We found this amazing spot by mistake and so happy we did.. the food is always delicious and fresh and the owner is the nicest person, she’s always welcoming and accommodating. As a vegan the owner always ensures that my meals are just that.. vegan! After only the second visit she recognized us and made us feel like friends. I would recommend Chok Dee Thai to anyone looking for a casual yet delicious dining experience.“
“This was my second time coming to the restaurant the first time I came for a dine and experience, which was awesome the second time it was a pick up order to go the day before Christmas Eve. My daughter was in town and we needed something to eat while we traveled for Christmas . I ordered the spring roll the wonton soup and the chili and basil fried rice. I really enjoyed their wonton soup. The broth has a lot of flavor in it and it's always consistently good. The fried rice has egg, bell pepper, chili, and fried onion in it. The restaurant on the inside is actually quite beautiful and has some great artwork on the wall. Just not the picture and added it here. I will definitely be back. This location is always packed for takeout as well as for dinner and I'd really enjoy their food.“
“Had a few reservations coming here on some mixed reviews but the food did not disappoint! I can’t speak for all dishes but the Panang curry was absolutely DELICIOUS! Just moved here from Seattle where all we ate was Thai and this was some of the best damn Panang curry I’ve ever had. I will be running back for that dish. Absolutely worth a visit“
“This is the BEST Thai Restaurant you will find anywhere. Thai Fried Rice and Pad Ginger, are family favorites. Beverage wise Thai Ice Tea and Coconut water are excellent. Dessert the fried banana with honey is great. High quality food, crystal clean, great service. Top recommendation.“
“Really superb customer service, they even plated my leftovers for me! Food was average, not bad, but nothing I would write home for. A little pricey considering the food was closer to bland & unseasoned. I had basil thai rice, thai iced tea, & that lil appetizer. Great kind service overall <3“
“We got takeout. They always have our order ready promptly. We ordered Gra Prow fried rice with chicken, Pad Kee Mao noodles with chicken, and wonton soup with chicken wontons. Everything was delicious and with generous portions. They made it spicy as I requested!“
“We’ve been searching for the authentic taste of Thai food all over and this is by far up to par.Padthai was on the spot, papaya salad trasported us back to Thailand and Bangkok platter reminded us of the street food of Bangkok. The ‘grandma’ was super friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended place.“
“My family and I enjoyed the food. The Pad Cashew Nuts was delicious! My kids liked their chicken skewers, Thai fried rice, bubble tea and lemonade. Nice atmosphere, reasonable prices and great customer service.Kid-friendliness: First time my kids eat Thai food and they enjoyed the chicken skewers, chicken wings, fried rice, lemonade and bubble tea.“
“Best Pad Thai I've ever eaten. Haven't tried the whole menu but everything I've tasted from this place is amazing. Takeout usually gives larger portions FYI. Also don't get the fried tofu unless you are eating in person OR if you have an air fryer at home. Very kind staff as well. honestly one of my favorite places to eat in the greater NYC area.“
“Amazing place with amazing staff and food, would recommend 100% !! Fav dish is salmon triple taste ????? you can bring your own drink too!Vegetarian options: They make every dis vegetarian if you ask for it?Parking: Free parking lot was very convenientKid-friendliness: They have high chairs !“
“Food was one of the best ever. Good quality and worth the price. Love the Thai Iced Tea, not too sweet. Spicy glass noodle salad is a must.I've been here twice.Got different server each time. Both of them wasn't really attentive.Hard to get their attention even it's not busy. Might consider just a take out next time so I don't have to waste money on tips when I barely get a service.“
“The food at Thai Market is possibly the best Thai food I have had in the US. Everything we have tried over many visits has been consistently delicious, including the Branzino, Salmon, Chicken Massaman, Pad Thai and Chicken Sate. The only problem is that is now so popular that there is often a 1 hour wait.“
“The best Thai food I have had! The place has changed management it seems but the food quality has remained! It was amazing in the old management and it still is! The green curry, panang curry and massamman curry are the best! Love their stir fry foods as well. Soup and appetizers are great!“
“We came here for restaurant week which was a great deal. You got an appetizer and three specialty rolls. There was a lot of different appetizers to pick from and the vegetable tempura was definitely my favorite. It was light crunchy, and you still tasted the flavor of the vegetables was. The pork gyoza was also really tasty. We had a variety of different specialty rolls. They were all good, not great. We had ginger ice cream for dessert which was outstanding and had little crystals of ginger in it and perfect ginger flavor. I would come back here and try some of the other menu items, Besides the sushi. The place is on a main road but never really noticed it. There is no parking lot so you have to park on the street but we didn't have an issue. It's also BYOB and the service was really nice and they didn't rush us at all.“
“I love the food here, the service is great every time I come and I always discover something new on the menu every time. Its been years of great memories in this place. Its beautifully decorated, authentic and friendly. One of the best places in the area. I am surprised I had not written a review before now. Ive been going to this store for years. Recently, I walked by and saw a "FOR RENT" sign. I will be sad to see this place go and hope they relocate instead of completely shutting down. Their chicken satay is the best Ive ever had. They have an amazing lunch special and the best Thai Tea, great portions. I really hope I get to taste their food again!“
“This is one of the best authentic Thai restaurants I have been tasting around New York and New Jersey. Great environment and services. We tasted Red Curry and Papaya salad, both are good, the curry is rich in flavors and the salad sweetness and sour is perfectly adjusted.“
“Just moved my son up to Washington Heights on the weekend. Decided to give Tung Thong Tai a try since it was so close to us....food was delicious, hot and delivered in good time!! Will definitely order again!!! Great Thai!! (Chris Battaglia and Rick Comport)“
“For the past 2 months, I've been to 25 different Chinese restaurants ordered the same dish...Genera Tso Chicken. In all these restaurants, was the Best !!!! No doubt, I'll be going back again, and again, and again. You got the idea.“
“After my visit to Thailand, this is my favorite restaurant in New York. The food is affordable and flavorful. The space is so cozy and relaxing. Great for mommy & child outings. The service is good and the wait to order is not long. It is also great to order take out as the food arrives hot and holds the same flavor. My favorite platters are their fried rice, pad Thai, Thai ice tea, shrimp rolls, mango sticky rice and drunken noodles.Kid-friendliness: They are very accommodating to kids.“
“Ordered takeout for basil fried rice and the taste was pretty decent. Will definitely be back to try the curries. The workers seemed very nice. It’s right by the train station in the little corner so it’s definitely a hidden gem. I will say that parking may be limited because of commuting people parking in the lot. However around the area are plenty of paid parking spots.“
“cute little spot! relaxing space &nice smoooth music. I got a kani salad added some mango and it was very good. I had the Love roll, it was also really good! the soy bean paper had a little crunch to it, I enjoyed it. I took some stuff to go.. the udon noodles with chicken, spicy wontons, sticky rice with mango and fried dumplings all very good! the waitress was extremely friendly and tentative! will definitely be back !“
“Really the best neighborhood Thai in easy driving distance of Suffern. Unsurpassed quality of food. Everything we ate featured the complex flavors of good Thai food. We chose to come on the first day of Daylight savings time and the kitchen was overwhelmed by takeout orders. So my dining companion was served her mains ten minutes before I received mine, hence I dropped a star. But for quality and value this place is my first choice in the Wyckiff/Ramsey area. BYOB“
“I love love love my lunch! I’ve been ordering from here for a few weeks now, the udon noodles with shrimps and veggies ? the greens always comes so fresh and tasty ? Looks good and tastes even better.I love that they care about cooking fresh food! Keep this up, great business service.“
“Amazing Thai food with a nice ambiance. The service was fast enough. Singha Thai beer was nice but has only 5% alcohol. For food, you can specify the spice level that you would like. My friends tried Tom Kha Gai soup and they like it. My husband really liked Drunken Noodle with chicken. I ordered Mixed Vegetables Pad Phed (which is sautéed with red curry, onion, bell pepper, basil and coconut milk) after I verified they do not use butter for that. It was delicious but we think that it is spicy even I asked for mild, so be ready! By the way, Mixed Vegetables Pad Phed comes with a small bowl of rice so I had to order one more rice bowl to balance the spice level; but overall, it was a great experience! Note: They charged extra 3.99% as credit card fee without warning us about that.. It was around 5 dollars for us. We realized that later but you can consider this while adding your tip if you want.“
“One of my favorites in an area with not-so-impressive-yet-VERY-expensive places to eat. I was a fan before the business burned down, and am an even bigger fan after its reopening. Ordered from them on Monday night - Panang chicken curry was fresh, flavorful and nicely blended and had beautiful fresh veggies. Pork Pad Kee Mao (medium) had an unexpected spice, not complaining! Spring rolls were fresh and crispy. I usually get the Massaman curry which can vary from restaurant to restaurant, and day to day, but theirs is always consistently thick and flavorful. I have honestly never gotten a bad meal from here and I'm a regular customer - at least once a month. Order by phone.“
“Small eat in area, I was there for 30 minutes around lunch time and it seems like more of a take out only place. There were a few to eat in but it was a bit crowded.Pad Thai with tofu was very flavorful. The lunch special is an awesome deal: $11 for an entree, soup or salad, and an appetizer!“
“This place is so good! I usually do take out and get one of the noodle bowls, which you can customize with your choice of noodle, protein, and broth, and it is always delicious. Today, I got the Pad Thai, and it was amazing!I will be going back very soon with friends , to eat at the restaurant.“
“I love Brookside Thai! My husband and I have been coming here for more than 20 years and the food is always excellent. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. It’s so comfortable and pretty here. We highly recommend the mango salad, salmon with pineapple and all the curries. And there’s easy parking in the back.“
“Nice place, tasty food, and good service. I had drunken noodles, pad thai, tom yum, and tom kha soup. I only give it 4⭐️s just because, in my opinion, it would be better to cut the ingredients for the soup into smaller pieces. It's easier to eat with a spoon.“
“Awesome food, good service too. We went here for dinner, I ordered green curry and my friend ordered one of the shrimp curries. We also got thai iced tea and matcha latte which both tasted great. It's a good date night spot if you are looking for one. They do get packed so call ahead and reserve a table if going on the weekend.“
“My family and I visited this restaurant while visiting in New York! The service when we walked in was very pushy. The manager was very pushy… We was like we a black family with money and here for a great dining experience. But after he calmed down we ordered. The drinks were spectacular I got a passion fruit margarita (top tier). My husband got a mango it was still pretty good. The food was okayyy. We got the hibachi I also got sushi and my husband got crab Rangoon (it wasOnly like 3 for 8 bucks. Buttt Heyy. The kids loved the cook he even did a balloon performance (never seen that before) but he was nice.“
“OMG from the outside it looks mediocre.. BUT!!!! Let me tell you the flavor is awesome. The lunch special is a banger for the right price!!! You won't go wrong. My preferred dish is the spicy basil fried rice with chicken. Trust me and thank me later!!“
“My second review about this neighborhood gem. I had the most delicious chicken pad Thai and their wonton shop is definitely the best I’ve had in a long time. Not only is the food delicious but the customer service is so warm, attentive and friendly.“
“Food: We all ordered something different and everything was very good! Portions were quite large and the appetizers were great Cocktails: Great! Service: Very polite servers and explained menu Ambiance: Cute spot chill vibe Only accepted Venmo or cash which was odd, but no big deal“
“Crispy pata here is so good! Kare Kare is a must try here since they they leave peanut chunks on the sauce plus the veggies are fresh and it’s up to you to mix them up when you’re ready to eat. Halo-halo was ok, missing kaong and nata de coco but overall it’s still good since they had ube halaya and leche flan on it.“
“DD Thai is hands down the best Thai restaurant in Bergen. I've tried several others, but none compare to DD Thai. With fresh and tasty food, including vegetarian options, it's truly a hidden gem in Bergen.Vegetarian options: DD Thai is hands down the best Thai restaurant in Bergen. “Delightful, a surprisingly good find... after my son's appt at the Morgan Stanley Children Hospital... we grabbed dinner here. Although it looked really dark.. and a bit sketchy... once you're seated, not bad. The bathroom is clean. Service is nice & friendly. They seem to have lots of regulars that come for drinks at the bar. As for their food, again, surprisingly good... guess we had no expectations and were just looking for a quick meal before heading back home. We got a shrimp fried rice, a crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli and a chicken pad see ew. Crispy Pork Belly was amazing! Crispy skin! The fried rice has strong "wok hay"! Everything was flavorful, portions were big and my son loved his fried rice. We did get Satay Chicken as a starter - didn't love it (only miss!). Thai Ice Tea was on point. Would recommend if anyone's around the area... but for us, it's way far from Brooklyn. #brooklyneats #washingtonhts #somewherefar“
“First time there. Of course, I ordered the whole snapper. It was phenomenal. But let's start with the appetizer, fried calamari. Probably one of the best I've had. With my funny tummy, I'm new to Thi cuisine, but I'm coming back here to get schooled.“
“Sometimes, all your heart wants is a pile of chinese take-out. They don’t have general tso’s but they have honey and orange chicken which are kinda the same.Idk what sauce is in the mango chicken but it’s good and the chicken is crunchy. I’m pretty much knocked out and useless after I eat this but it’s pure happiness lol.“
