The setup is simple (order at the kiosk, one person running the show), so expect about 10–15 minutes, but it fits the street vendor feel. No seating inside, and it gets a little hot without AC, but you can grab your food and enjoy it at a nearby park. Authentic, tasty, and a must-try.“

“We came from Ohio for a show in Jersey- but obviously we had to stop and see Anthony for some dogs on our trip. All of our hot dogs were awesome, my favorite was the Frito Pie and my boyfriend loved his sauerkraut with hot onions and mustard! (No pictures, ate them too fast, oops..) Anthony treated us so kindly, in fact all the locals in the store were so friendly. I wish we could have spent more time in Verona. He really made our stop in so special, asking us about our stay and even took a picture with us.

“Hot dog itself seems like it's deep fried so the skin is crisp while the inside stays juicy, with great pork flavor. The bun is pretty normal which seems like a waste when so much effort is put into the hot dog and toppings. Restaurant gets pretty loud and crowded with all the speakeasy customers but we were able to find a seat even on Saturday night.

The hot dogs are on the smaller side so you can have one as a light meal or combine it with tater tots. Splitting two hot dogs and a side of loaded tater tots between two people is good for a full meal.

Lil Ma hot dog - was intrigued by the peanut butter and it paired pretty well with the acidity of the pickles
Elote hot dog - not as impressed by this one but good if you like the toppings included
Nacho tater tots - reminds me of something you'd make at late night in a college dining hall and really hits the spot after a long day of walking around NYC“

“I 1st became aware of this place from a reel that I seen where some guy was complaining about the price. The way the employee handled it by offering to give it to him free of charge and he could come back and pay if he enjoyed it really intrigued me. Made me think these must be spectacular hot dogs and he knows it. So I took the 5 hour 250 mile round trip from my home to see for myself. Well these dogs were just amazing 🤩 perfect snap on the dog and the chili was just spectacular. The two women that were working the counter were simply wonderful and friendly. I will definitely be coming back. I would have to say they’re in my top 3 hot dog joints. As for the hot dogs, they (from the sausage to the chili to the cheese to the mashed potatoes) have this amazing texture. “Got the half mozzarella, half beef dog with the potato coating and it hit the spot. Super crispy on the outside, cheesy and juicy on the inside. It is one of those things where you take a bite and immediately want another.

Edit: I wish it came with a full beef dog instead of just half, and the kimchi fries didn’t include enough fries or kimchi for what we paid.“

“First noticed while watching the movie Fools rush in. Since my last name is Gray I always wanted to go there. Been there in 2010 the first time and immediately fell in love. A couple a weeks ago I went to New York on short notice and the first thing on my to do list was going there. Say what you want. Those are the best hot dogs on the planet. The owner and his wife are fantastic, welcoming, and super into thier craft. “Great little place one could easily miss if they weren't looking. Delicious dogs, relatively inexpensive prices, and great ambience, make this a go to spot. Couple of drawbacks though. Seating very limited, so best time to come is after the lunch rush and before school lets out. Also limited hours of operation, as they are only open during lunch through early afternoon rush hours, so plan accordingly. You won't regret it.“

It's tender, juicy, fresh, and has so much flavor! It's the Kobe of Pastrami! Sorry, didn't try the corn beef or knish but maybe next time. I got the $15.95 sandwich plus one Lb of pastrami $26.95.
