“My sister told me about her local go-to for tacos. I tried the 3 tacos de birria. It was absolutely delicious. Sizeable portion (I was full with 2) and it came with a consome that you could dip the tacos.

Also, the owner is so kind. She wrote a get well note for my mom on her order. I had mentioned that had been sick.

Before leaving the area, I am heading back for another order. Definitely recommend.“

My personal favorite is her sweet onions and bacon dog, and her chili with potato sticks. Sounds odd I know, but trust me...she has so many unique toppings to make any combo. “Private party in traditional presentation of a Kamayan feast (max 35 persons) for my milestone birthday. You meet with Chef Maricel herself to plan the menu and set-up (seating, music, and service). She was very accommodating for one guest who is allergic to soy sauce — a staple ingredient in Asian cooking. She prepared a separate meal for him. She made all my favorite Filipino dishes including Lechon (the best I’ve eaten!), grilled chicken inasal, fried tilapia, chicken adobo, and beef Caldereta (my husband’s favorite). I also recommend her crispy shrimp balls as an appetizer and pancit molo soup. Chef Maricel came out to present the Lechon and explained its significance in Filipino celebrations. The succulent pork and crackling were then added to the other dishes laid out on banana leaves. Dessert included turon and leche flan. The mango birthday cake was beautiful and delicious. We chose their beverage package that included non-alcoholic sangria, soda, coffee and hot tea. BYOB: Guests added pinot Grigio or prosecco to their glasses of sangria. Maricel’s Kitchen is a restaurant on the weekends and a cooking studio during the week where she teaches classes live on YouTube. The studio’s computer equipment set-up provided an opp for my family to project a slide show of photos from my life that guests watched during dinner. Our daughter led 3 birthday games between dinner and dessert where Chef Maricel’s cookbook and gift cards were the prizes. She signed each cookbook. Such a memorable evening!“

“They aren't always there, but when they are, considerate it your lucky day. Some of the best hot dogs I've had, I recommend trying one with cooked onions and cheese, simple yeah, but it's all you need.

I've literally been going here for years (since I was a kid), perfect snack after a walk around the Rahway River Park. You can even ask for your hotdogs to go (they just wrap 'em up and put them in a bag).“

“Found the spot by accident just searching the area I was for a hot dog spot, old school food truck in the parking lot of the American Legion plenty of parking. I had the chili dog with onions and cheese and a dog with mustard and kraut, the chili cheese dog was very good the chili was tasty the cheese was a cheese sauce of some kind and the sauerkraut was delicious Price is Right I enjoyed it. Also as there is no seating there I ate it in my vehicle while it was nice and hot he wraps the dogs up in wax paper perfectly there was no mess from the chili or the cheese or even the sauerkraut I was able to eat them in my vehicle nice and warm and not make a mess Kudos Sal!!“
