“Goldberg’s Famous Bagels in Pompton Lakes, NJ, is a gem worth visiting! My experience here was nothing short of phenomenal, and I’m happy to share my thoughts.

First off, the location is super convenient with plenty of parking inside the plaza, which is a big plus for anyone familiar with the parking challenges in this area.

The staff are absolutely wonderful—courteous, respectful, patient, and extremely welcoming. Their friendliness makes you feel right at home as soon as you walk in. A younger gentleman, who I believe might be the owner or manager, was particularly helpful. He went above and beyond to recommend a bagel option for me when the one I originally wanted was out of stock. His recommendations did not disappoint, and I truly appreciated the effort he made to ensure I had a great experience.

Though I visited after lunchtime, which explains why a few options were unavailable, it’s understandable given the popularity of the place. Even then, the overall atmosphere and the attentive service more than made up for it.

The bagels themselves? Amazing. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly what you’d expect from a place with "famous" in the name.

All in all, Goldberg’s Famous Bagels deserves five stars for their fantastic food, excellent service, and welcoming atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back, and I highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great bagel experience!

“Boy, are we glad we added this special stop to our road trip from the Boston, MA area because they sell gluten-free bagels... and they're delicious...plain or with everything (poppy, sesame, garlic etc.) They even have packaged gluten-free snack items! I bought a gluten-free brownie that was heavenly!! Karim couldn't have been nicer. When we come back to the area we will definitely stop here again! ;-) Thanks Karim!!“

“If there were more stars, I'd give them. We are from out of state (formerly from Waldwick) and needed to send a brunch catering to a dear family. Bagel Supreme was professional, sweet, considerate and kind. I called on a Sunday afternoon at 1 PM (about an hour before the store closed) and the owner had his wife call "within the hour." She did and spent time with me on the phone getting the right order to fit my request for the family. Then sent multiple texts to confirm everything throughout the evening. Talk about going ABOVE AND BEYOND! They delivered PROMPTLY as promised the next day and they sent us pictures of the platters to ensure that we saw what was delivered. Greeting cards to mark the occasion with our thoughts HAND WRITTEN were attached. The store would NOT take money until the order was delivered even though I offered to pay in advance. I will absolutely use them in the future for long distance gift giving (who doesn't like food as a gift)? And this will be our very first stop when we are back in town. 1,000% recommend!!!“

Get there before 3;30 PM if you want sliced cheese because they close the slicer at 3;30. I know if I get there at 3;32 PM the slicer is off. So I get tuna fish instead and it’s about as good as it gets. The staff is friendly and do a good job. What a place!“

I called 5 Brothers from Wisconsin (not knowing anything about delis or restaurants in Lincoln Park, New Jersey—just going by google search) to order a couple trays of food for a memorial service in Lincoln Park which I could not attend. We explained, we were looking to take some good bagels back with us. The young lady(sorry I never asked your name) was so nice & accommodated us with a free sample of a pumpernickel bagel. We were over the moon & found heaven in a bagel! Fresh, tasty, delicious New Jersey bagels! We ordered 2 dozen to take home to Tennessee, which by the way you actually get 15 bagels for a dozen(must be some kind of new math, lol). Guessing the online bagels we’ve been getting will be on hold for quite a while, these bagel are worth the side trip if you are ever within 20 miles(for us 600 miles), do yourself a favor get some & the crumb cake they have is also delicious! “This is one of my favorite food places. The bakery goods are fantastic. Bagels are made on premises and if you get lucky, you can get them fresh out of the oven.

Though not high end dining, this restaurant checks the boxes. Food is excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful. It is not fair to rate the atmosphere on the same plane as the other two. It’s not fancy but quite functional. Especially since it’s usually utilized as a take out place. Most of the time, I’m passing through. I phone in my order and pick it up shortly after. BTW, the tuna and chicken salads are to die for. Maybe the best I’ve ever had. The egg salad is no slouch either.“

I ordered a Taylor Ham and cheese on a toasted plain bagel and he had a plain bagel with cream cheese. It was the best I've had in years!! Now my son is asking me everyday to take a ride up there. I went to another location on Mcbride Ave next to Chase Bank as per Google it stated they opened at 6am.
